Bradford Brothers Electric

We do NOT recommend Bradford Brothers Electric in Austin. We hired Bradford in February 2025 to address a chronic problem that we had: several of our breakers kept switching off. Bradford visited our house four times and replaced breakers -- and we paid $775 for those services. But nothing that Bradford did and nothing that we paid Bradford for solved our issue. Remarkably, after we paid $775 for the four visits and the breakers continued to switch off, Bradford suggested that, as to each breaker that was flipping off, the appliance tied to that breaker was independently malfunctioning in the same way. (That is, Bradford Electric subtly conceded that their services didn’t solve the issue because, they believed, we had an “appliances problem”.) But the notion that we had problem with multiple appliances and not an electrical system problem wasn't credible to us. So we hired another electrician – and since that other electrician’s visit months ago, no breakers have switched off. (Notably, the new electrician also discovered that the switches on the electric panel were mislabeled (dating back to when our house was built) – which a competent electrician visiting four times to solve breaker malfunctions would’ve figured out.) Since we paid Bradford $775 to fix our electrical problem and since, objectively and in fact, nothing Bradford did for that $775 solved our issue, we asked Bradford for a PARTIAL refund of the $775. Bradford refused to issue us even a partial refund. So, in the coming days, we plan to sue Bradford for a full refund.

They are the company that was contracted with the builder at the time when my house was built. They did all the electrical work. After I moved in, I had them come and add some additional plugs and stuff like that. The pendant light was located at a very, very high ceiling. The technician did not have the right ladder so we had to do some interesting things. I actually had to help him because his ladder was too short do it by himself. They should bring a taller ladder. I told them how high the ceiling was, but the information didn't get to the technician so it wasn't really his fault. There was just a miscommunication there. They got back pretty quickly. He was on time. I would use them again for certain things, just not the other things I had done. If I had work to do with existing wiring since I wired the house, I would go back to them but if it was adding new stuff, I'd go to a different provider.
