This is the WORST BUSINESS ON THE PLANET!!! If I could rate them A ZERO I WOULD!!! They DESTROYED THOUSNDS OF DOLLARS OF MY FURNITURE!!! A white leather sectional, white coffee table, another table and my bed and I didn’t receive one dime!!! Their customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE FROM THE OWNER, MANAGEMENT ON DOWN!!! DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT Waste your TIME NOR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!! I would RATE THEM AN F ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND C FOR CLOSED BECAUSE THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THEY SHOULD DO WITH THEIR DEATH TRAP OF A BUSINESS!!

Do NOT hire.. See photos of packing and loading. See photos of ART stacked together and wrapped together. Paid for individual wrap and some in cartons. Will not respond to emails, phone calls and texted. Disputed on Amex.. Beware!

I'm still trying to resolve a current insurance claim with this company. Last September the company attempted to move me to another apartment across town. The van flipped over with all my furniture and belonging inside and damaged each and every item. Once at my new apartment the movers went on to damage the stairs, walls, and property from the 1st floor of my condo all the way up three stories. I've been holding onto my ruined couch, that's taken up a spot in my garage for the entirely of my lease that no longer has legs because the company claimed I must hold unto the damaged items until the claim is resolved. I have just given my 60 day notice to leave my current lease and still have not heard back from this company after I've called almost everyday and have gotten no responses. I will be responsible for the damage they've done to my landlord's property and will have to replace all my furniture out of my own pocket. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY under any circumstances. Dustin Myrlin is the claim specialist who has been avoiding my calls and not properly handling my claim. Hunter Armstrong is the individual who is president of the company that should go under.

It's hard to describe the nightmare situation we experienced with Blue Whale and our claim is still being ignored over a month later. They arrived late and unprepared. They attempted to cancel in the middle of the move. They put huge holes in the walls of the place I was moving out of. They damaged almost every item including our fridge and washing machine which still hasn't been resolved in our claim. We have emailed and called and are ignored. From the stress of the move to dealing with damaged items and now for them not to make it right, I have no choice but to post this review to warn others against using this company.

Fair at best. Well over time scheduled, workers did not want to move items as committed, truck was struck on rise in culdesac when they turned around, then demanded a large tip...Not a great experience bit items were moves with minimal damage.

Knowing that we had many items to move, we called Blue Whale Moving to come out to our home to give us a written bid of what it would cost us. The man who came out said that the amount of the bid would vary only by the final number of boxes that Blue Whale would ultimately have to move above their initial estimate of 200 boxes. This seemed reasonable to my husband and I and we hired them for the move. They promised two trucks and four movers on the day of the move. When the day arrived, only one truck and two movers showed up at 8:30 a.m. After the movers had loaded the truck approximately 2/3rds full, they came to us and said that the moving costs would be $800 more than they quoted because the guy that came out to give us the quote "didn't include a lot of furniture that should have been included." We were informed that the actual moving men are independent contractors that Blue Whale hires, and that these moving men compare a list of items provided by Blue Whale against their own list of items to be moved. When we called Blue Whale to inform them that we were not going to pay additional money for items that they neglected to include in their quote, they responded with "No problem, we'll just unload the truck and be on our way!" We were stuck in a really difficult situation, and after nearly an hour arguing with them, we agreed to pay an extra $500 to Blue Whale, only on the condition that we would not also be charged for any boxes that exceeded their initial estimate. After several hours, a "manager" type mover showed up and had the other two movers unload most of the truck and reload it again so that it could be loaded more efficiently. Finally, at about 4:30 p.m., the ONLY truck that had showed at that point left for Lakeway, leaving much of our belongings behind. I went with the movers to the Lakeway house to supervise unloading, while my husband had to stay behind to see if another truck would actually show up for our remaining stuff. After about an hour, a Blue Whale DUMP TRUCK showed up to collect the remainder of our belongings. As the movers were loading additional furniture and belongings into the uncovered DUMP TRUCK, it started to rain heavily. The "managing" mover then asked if my husband had any tarps to cover our stuff! Meanwhile, at the Lakeway house, the movers there were putting boxes wherever they wanted- even though every box had been carefully labeled on EACH SIDE as to what room they were to go in. Finally, at about 9:30 p.m., the Blue Whale dump truck showed up at the Lakeway house to unload. Somewhere along the way, a large leather cushion on the back of our leather sofa was lost, leaving us with two cushions to cover a three cushioned sofa back. Nice... The movers finally left at about 11:45 p.m. and we were so angry and frustrated with the whole experience we could barely sleep that night. I do not recommend Blue Whale Moving to haul away trash, let alone move household furniture and other items.

Don't hire Blue Whale Moving Co. The move itself, and the follow up customer service was a severe disappointment.
We have never hired a professional moving company -- we have always moved ourselves, but due to a recent car accident, one of us wasn't able to move the big stuff.
I did a lot of research leading up to hiring Blue Whale. I read many reviews on Next Door, Google, Yelp, Angie's List, and others. Blue Whale came highly recommended. They were hands down our first choice.
I was given specific instructions via email and phone on how to best prep for the move and their movers. I am an organizer anyway, so the instructions were simple. I labeled every box, specified what items would be going to the new house and what items would be going to storage, and finally, I drew a map of our new house and a diagram of where all the furniture would go. This was somewhat time consuming and expensive, but I wanted the move to be as easy and seamless as possible.
We were scheduled for a noon - 4:00 pm move on a Saturday. The customer service rep said they had one job before us but it was an easy one and could they start earlier if the first job ended before noon. I said sure. I asked for a 30 - minute call ahead.
Since I did not hear from anyone I rushed over to the old house by 11:45 am to be there for the movers by noon. No movers. I waited an over an hour in an empty house until they called after 1:00 saying they were running behind, hadn't eaten lunch and that they were going to stop and eat and then come to my house. They said it would take them 45 minutes (making them close to 2 hours late). I told them I really would have appreciated a call earlier since I had been sitting at the house waiting on them. They were not very apologetic.
They finally arrived around 2 pm. I waited at my old house until they arrived, which was a BIG WASTE of my time and Saturday. I went over all the boxes, which items would be going to the new house and what items would be going to storage, then showed them the map I had drawn of the new place and where all the furniture would go (per the instructions). Things couldn't have been more clear or organized.
When they loaded the truck they accidentally mixed up the house and storage items and had to completely unload and reload the truck. There were only two guys and the loading and unloading to a VERY LONG TIME.
They did not finish loading the truck until 5:30 pm. The whole move was supposed to be completed by 4:00 pm. I had spent the entire day at the old house waiting on them with nothing to do. Again, a huge waste of time.
We stopped at the storage unit first. Again, they did not have the truck organized enough to find all the "storage" labeled items, so some of the storage boxes ended up at the new house, which my husband and I had to take to the storage unit later.
We did not arrive to our new house until 6:30 pm. My husband was very frustrated and didn't understand what took so long (neither did I). He ended up helping them unload the truck, finishing the job. The map that I drew of the new place served no purpose because they just piled everything up and left it in the main living areas. I had to later sort out the boxes and put them in the appropriate rooms.
They finished the job at 9:30 pm. It was absolutely the worst experience. Once I started unpacking several dishes were broken and our dining table top was scratched. We have very nice furniture and it was not handled with care.
A few days after the move the service rep called to ask how the move went. I told her in detail how horrible the experience was and how disappointed we were. She offered little-to-no apology and said she would share this info with the team. There was no discount offered, no refund offered, and no follow up from an owner or manager. I even let her know I would be writing a detailed review and posting it on review sites. Again, no remedy or consolation.
I am from the world of customer service and place a high value on making sure clients are happy with their experiences. I also know the best form of marketing is word of mouth and personal referrals.
That said, I would never hire Blue Whale Moving Co. again and I would not recommend them to anyone I know or don't know.

I will NEVER hire/use them again! They broke 2 pieces: my antique grandfather clock, + 2 pieces of wood were chipped off other pieces. The 2 movers tried to get more money from me, saying my 2-seater couch was larger than estimated. They did not finish putting 1 big armoire back together, promising to return the following day. To be fair, 1 of the 2 movers got sick, but they wouldn't call another person to come help. Only 1 guy returned the next day with his small child, so I, being short, had to get up on a ladder to help him put it back together - a job very difficult for 2 strong guys!!
