Owner Sharon Schmidt started her company in 1991 selling mini blinds and verticals door to door. Once she broke into custom draperies, nothing held her back. She loves design, all aspects of it, but has kept her specialty in window coverings. Her dedication to customer service and quality has been the back bone of her business, with hundreds of satisfied customers in the Austin area. She uses only the best installers and contractors. She oversees all projects and installations from start to finish. Maintaining a home office keeps her overhead low therefore she conducts consultations in the clients home, thus remaining competitively priced. Sharon is studied in Interior Design and is able to help clients with more than just window coverings, such as space planning, staging, furniture, rugs and art. She is expanding her business to include remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Granite and flooring are also areas in which she provides.

"FOR 15 YEARS, I HAVE RUN THIS BUSINESS, AND FOR 15 YEARS, I HAVE SATISFIED MANY CUSTOMERS. HOWEVER, I MADE A HUMAN ERROR IN CALCULATING HOW MANY WINDOWS WERE ON THIS PARTICULAR ORDER, FOR WHICH I WAS AND STILL AM SINCERELY SORRY FOR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER I REALIZED MY MISTAKE, A FEW DAYS AFTER OUR TRANSACTION, I CONTACTED MY CLIENT, AND WE AGREED ON AN ADJUSTED PRICE TO WHICH MY PROFIT MARGIN WAS SEVERELY SACRIFICED. DAYS LATER, MY CLIENT DECIDED THEY WERE UNHAPPY WITH THE REVISED INVOICE. I OFFERED A TOTAL REFUND TO WHICH NONE OF MY SERVICES WERE COMPENSATED. THEY DECIDED TO TAKE THE REFUND I HAD OFFERED. SINCE THEN I HAVE CHANGED MY COMPANY POLICY TO CHECK CALCULATION MULTIPLE TIMES, WHICH WAS NEGLECTED IN THIS CASE. IN CONTRAST TO THEIR COMPLAINT, NO ROOM-BY-ROOM BREAKDOWN WAS EVER REQUESTED, AND NEITHER WAS A DOUBLE CHECK IN THE BEGINNING. I WOULD NEVER REFUSE A PRICE BREAKDOWN BY ROOM OR BY WINDOW TO ANY CLIENT. NO HARM MEANT FOR THESE CUSTOMERS, AND ONCE AGAIN I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY HARM THAT WAS TAKEN. I TAKE MY BUSINESS VERY SERIOUSLY AND I PRIDE MYSELF ON HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. I HAVE NEVER TRIED TO PULL A "FAST ONE" ON ANYONE. IT IS MY GOAL TO GROW THIS BUSINESS BASED ON A GREAT PRODUCT, A FAIR AND COMPETITIVE PRICE AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.
