Arlene is as good as they come.  She devoted almost a year of her time to helping me find the perfect home in central Austin, both before I moved to town and after.  She is extremely reliable, responsive, and well-connected.  Before I was in Austin, she went to several houses in which I expressed interest and did walk-throughs while I was on the phone, narrating the details of the entire space.  She was honest about the pros and cons of every option we viewed.  She is sensitive to price, location and condition.  She won't hesitate to give an honest opinion and can seamlessly navigate the process of offering and closing a deal.  Most importantly, I felt that she was a true advocate for me in the context of negotiating my home purchase.  As a first-time homeowner, her experience, candor and guidance were invaluable.  I would send my dearest friends and family to Arlene and know that they were in excellent hands.

Arlene Maze was highly recommended to me by another realtor.  I met with her, and discussed the location, features, and price range for the type of house that I was interested in buying.  She was very helpful in providing me with information concerning what was available.  She stayed in contact with me by phone and e-mail, frequently several times a day, with information concerning houses that I might be interest in.  I reviewed the information and photos that she sent me, and she made arrangements for me to visit those that I want to inspect.  She did not try to sell me on any of the houses, but did point out both the positive and the negative aspects of each.
After several months of looking, Arlene called me about a townhouse that had just come on the market.  We went over to the townhouse within the hour.  I liked it, and told Arlene to make an offer on it, which she did upon returning to her office.  Another party came to inspect the property as Arlene and I were leaving, and they submitted an offer immediately afterward as well.  The sellers accepted my offer, because Arlene had sent mine in first.
She worked diligently on my behalf 24/7, and always was prompt in returning my calls and e-mails.  She's professional, experienced, friendly, and took care of all the details.  She immediately followed up on any questions or concerns that I had, and researched many that I hadn't thought of.  She walked me through each step, and at the closing gave me a binder with all of the pertinent information, forms, documents, HOA rules and regulations, etc. concerning the townhouse and its community.  I will be putting my current home on the market early next year, and I certainly will consult with Arlene about updating and marketing it, and will contract with her to list and sell it.  I have been very impressed with her, and will heartily recommend her to anyone needing a realtor.
