Excellent experience. Kent installed the system for the prior homeowner. We had an issue that was not under warranty. Kent still helped us out whereas the manufacturer would not. This is a very honest and reputable company that stands behind their work. I would highly recommend for any AC related needs. A+ experience.

Good with best price of all estimates, though when evaporator coil went bad years later (under warranty) they could not figure out the issue - had to call a different A/C company to diagnose the issue.

For us, these guys did a top-notch installation. They were on time, honest, and worked hard to do things right.
Definitely recommended.
Kent came out to our house and talked with us, not at us. Best of all, he listened to us, and made sure he understood what we
wanted and what our limits were.
Then he built a proposal for us that wasexactly what we wanted and fit our budget. This was not an easy task, and we had some unusual requirements. Including needing two systems, which can rapidly raise the cost.
They were able to schedule an installation within just a few days and worked around our schedules. This was not made easy, because the installation took two full days to complete.
During the installation, the crew took extraordinary care to make sure each task was done with precision and care. They did not do just the minimum needed to complete the job; they took the time to do it right.
Kent and his crew came up with creative, safe, and good solutions for each problem that came up during the installation. These are inevitable in every job, but they did not get disconcerted. They thought each problem through before they did anything else.
Better still, they talked to us about each issue and got us on board with their solution before they just went and did it. We believe they accomplished a very high quality install for us.
The install was complex:
(2) Lennox XP25 Heat Pump Units
(2) Lennox variable speed communicating air handlers w/heat strips
(2) Lennox PureAir filter systems with UVA lights and odor control
(2) Lennox WiFi iComfort Thermostats
(1) Rebuilt return duct
(2) Blower Door tests
(2) Duct system exams and repairs
(2) Adjustments/reseats on vents
(2) Pads outside that were challenges to level
They took great care to protect our rugs and floors inside the house, and with materials we had stored in the garage that hey needed to move.
In short, they did pretty much everything right.
Since the unit was installed, we had a few small requests, including sending a camera through some ducts to check for animal intrusions, reprograming on the thermostats, and some additional leveling on the A/C pads.
Their response was excellent. They talked with us about each issue, and they took our requirements and requests seriously. Then
they fixed the issues. Another mark of a good contractor/vendor.

In addition, our equipment and installation qualified for some significant rebates from Lennox and from our utility company. The office staff at American Conservation and Air filled out and submitted all the paperwork we needed to qualify for the rebates and get them moving for us. That is high quality service.

A final plus note, American Conservation and Air has done a lot of work rehabbing homes in the Austin area with the Austin Energy conservation programs. To meet the requirements of those programs, they must meet somepretty strict requirements. Even though we live in Georgetown, and did not have
to meet those requirements, they took the time to do so. And created a better
and much more pleasing install because of it.
Since anything can be done better, we will share with you the only thing we believe they could have done better.
Not all of the work crew wore American Conservation and Air uniforms, though they were all neatly dressed and able to
clearly identify themselves and their association with the company.
We would suggest a small investment in some jackets, T Shirts, or overalls. This would help to create a more professional
look to go with their very professional work, and more easily identify the crew with the company.
Several of our neighbors, interested in HVAC systems, stopped to chat with them. But several other neighbors told us they
did not talk with them, because the lack of uniforms was a little unnerving to them.
Highly recommended.

Came home one day over the summer to a 90 degree house - the A/C had stopped working. Technician came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Also did a quick check of the rest of the system for any other obvious issues and didn't find any.

They initially came out within an hour on father's day to look at the unit. They charged the coil and added five pounds of freon for the time being which temporarily fixed the leak. They ordered the indoor coil and came back to switch it out. It was close to 130 degrees in my attic and the technician spent the entire day replacing the coil. They were fantastic to work with and worked extremely hard.

Everything was satisfactory for 45 days when I came home to no a/c. The next day the service tech told me the return air filter was so dirty it caused the coil to freeze (despite the filter was replaced within 30 days and it's rated for 3 months of use being a pleated filter). Two weeks later I arrive home to no a/c again. This service tech tells me there's trash in the copper lines, he can't fix it. Someone else will have to come out the following day to determine if that's correct and to determine how to fix the problem.
