Accent Deck Design

James's crew did an excellent job of removing everything and cleaning up the whole area. We love the new deck they built. It is very attractive. James answered any questions I had about the structure very quickly. The deck is structurally sound and can support a lot of weight. We are very pleased with the work. James is very professional and easy to work with.

It was a great experience. They did excellent work. The guys came out and looked at it and measured everything and then couple of days later showed me some drawings and then we talked about materials and they just did some great work. The total set of work went across about three days. He actually did another piece of work on the same job, which was adding a second set of stairs to our very long covered front deck. I would use them again.

James is the nicest guy. Very easy to get along with. The first day he gave us a bunch of material samples to live with. We put them on the existing deck and let them heat up in the texas sun to see which one would be the coolest on our feet. The one we ended up picking was not my original choice, nor was it the most expensive. James didn't push us to buy the more expensive material. Without having all the samples, we would have not ended up with the best material for our needs. 

The construction was done in parallel with our pool construction (Pool Pro). James moved quickly and stuck with the entire pool project until it was done to ensure we were happy. The quality was excellent.

James was extremely responsive and went well out his way to meet us on saturdays and sundays, as well as providing advice and help for parts of the project he was not responsible for. 

James had to integrate with Pool-Pro and Iron Horse Metal Works (Railing) to get the project completed. 

I would recommend giving him larger scope of responsibility when doing complex projects. We gave Pool Pro ownership of a part of the project that James would have done much better with. This project entailed building a room under part of the deck for storage. I expected Pool Pro to coordinate with James to optimize the deck construction to make it easy to build the room. Pool Pro did not have experience with projects like the room, so they didn't drive the project very well or the requirements to James. I wish we had made James responsible for the storage room as well.
