The technician arrived onsite as agreed, actually calling an hour early to see if he could come early.  I agreed, he completed the work quickly - charged me exactly as quoted.  Extremely pleased with the attitude, the professionalism, and the response.  I will DEFINITELY call these folks again.

I had used Daryl about 3 years prior to check on my A/C because it wasn't blowing cold air. At that time I was really impressed with the service. He fixed my issue immediately for a reasonable cost.

But this time was completely different. I had called about a week in advance to setup an appt. I told him that I wanted a checkup and cleaning of the A/C. He said it would be about $60. The technician showed up about an hour late. I called to see what was going on and Daryl let me know that they were running behind. I wish he would have been more proactive rather than having me call to figure out why nobody was at my house at the specified time.

The technician was great. He told me that the system was running well, but it could use about 1 Ib of R-22 Freon. He asked what services I wanted done and I told him I just wanted a checkup and cleaning. He called Daryl and quoted me a price of $300!! To give you a little perspective, first this is not anywhere near the price that was quoted on the phone. The going rate for R-22 at the time was $35 / Ib which was what he was going to charge me. But that means to clean the A/C (I only have 1) was going to be $265. I feel like he was raking me over the coals since I was already going to have to pay for a $55 service charge. I called other A/C repair shops that moment and they quoted me anywhere from $70 - $130 to clean the A/C. Half what Daryl quoted me. I tried to contact Daryl at that time but no answer. I told the technician I would go elsewhere and paid the $55.

Summary: I will not use Daryl again for A/C services. I made a poor assumption that I would get the same service after my experience 3 yrs earlier. I felt deceived and taken advantage of.

Daryl Thate Air Conditioning was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

This is the 3rd time I've used Daryl Thate Air Conditioning and Heating. They truly know what they're doing! Arrive on-time, finish quickly and never require callback for the same problem. Professional owner who works himself, courteous prompt communication with the Office Manager, I’ve had several terrible experiences with Air Conditioning and Heating companies, so this is a blessing to trust this company to come work on my $6,000 machines! You need someone that knows what they are doing.
