"We certainly apologize that this was your experience. I wish I could say that we were always 100% perfect, but we are not. We try to be, but sometimes we make a mistake. We have found that how you react to a mistake is the best guide for what kind of person/company you are, and to be honest we sent out a less experienced tech who misdiagnosed your issue. Our reaction was to do everything we could to make this right. We admitted such to you, and then sent our most senior tech out (at no additional charge), to correctly diagnose the issue. Since you question whether he did what he says he did, here are his finding to prove otherwise: Found leak in evap coil. Due to leak in coil system was low on R-22. At your request we recharged the system with R-22. After recharging the refrigerant pressures were 240/75 (perfect), with a 21 degree temperature differential (also perfect). Also found a bad contactor that you approved replacement of. Due to the leak in the evap coil it was recommended that the unit or coil be replaced as the best options for you, and you declined both. We then ran a warranty call (that was not actually a warranty, but still did not charge you) a week later, where the non-repaired evap coil had leaked the refrigerant out again and caused the unit to freeze up. You then declined to recharge it again, and stated that you were looking at other options to replace it. We would love to hear from you in person to discuss the issue further.
