Alex did an excellent job. He had to move an electric outlet, repair the wall and install a wall mounted vent hood over my oven. He has great attention to detail to make sure everything is done to the highest standards. I highly recommend GMZ Construction to anyone who needs work done in their homes.

We wanted to remodel our kitchen and do an addition as well.So it was going to be a big project .I had already had bad experiences making calls to find a contractor fit for the job until a found Alex.He understood everything we wanted to get done and got to work asap.He worked with us about finishes and recommending things along the way. They were professional and knowledgeable. They showed up when they said and worked hard and fast. They listened to what I wanted and made sure of that along the way. They made suggestions along the way that turned out being better than what I had in mind. They transformed a screened in porch and rotten deck into a beautiful and secure area. They replaced screens with windows by with new framing and installed a more secure door. They replaced water damaged wall areas then left no visible trace of repair. Their work is flawless considering they were working with a 30+ year old build. They were reasonably priced and were conscious of my pocketbook when choosing materials. I am going to recommend GMZ Construction to everyone I know. Great Job guys!

Alex is amazing! I wanted to knock out a the a pantry, build a new one in another part of the kitchen, and extend my kitchen island. After meeting with multiple contractors and feeling discouraged I met with Alex and he was able to do everything I wanted and more at a lower price than everyone else. He was very patient with me and helped me come up with the design of the pantry and new wall as well as the overall layout of the room. He is very respectful and would help me with anything I was doing on the side without charging extra. He will even teach you how to do things yourself. Everything came out beautifully and faster than expected. I will definitely be using him for any other remodeling projects I have in the future and would refer him to anyone looking for help with their home.

Alex was hired to replace a faulty GFCI outlet in the front of our house. We were charged 130.00 for this and the outlet never worked. I contacted him several times and he apologized for the delay. He never came back to fix it and he never answered any of my calls after that. I honestly don't know how he gets all of these 5-star reviews, really makes you wonder. I kept all my texts from him so it is obvious to me now that he never intended to make his work right.

We wanted to replace our front door due to the bottom frame had wear and water damage from rain over the years. We ordered a new door and had GMZ Construction take out the old door, replace the framework under and around the door (with two sidelights) to make it fit and complete painting of the framework inside and out. Alex completed the replacement within one day and finished the painting another day within a few more hours. We love our beautiful new door and having our entry good and secure. We have not had a job that GMZ could not perform to extreme satisfaction. We enjoy Alex’s professional and friendly Customer Service. He makes getting work done a pleasure and we would recommend GMZ Construction for any job!!!

Our master bathroom was damaged by flooding and we hired GMZ Construction to demo our bathroom and remodel. Since our flooring, vanity and bottom of our cabinet and walls were damaged, we had to get all new tile, vanity and repairs of the cabinet and walls with painting of the whole bathroom. Alex worked with our insurance to get the appropriate settlement needed to complete all the repairs. He helped me in picking out all materials to stay within our cost and yet end up with a totally beautiful bathroom. We paid a little extra to get new cabinet doors to match our new vanity. GMZ Construction always does a great job working with insurance, vendors, getting all materials, cleaning up during demo and keeping the rest of the house from getting messed during construction time. Alex makes the remodel/construction process as easy as possible and completes each job in a very timely manner. He always keeps us well informed of the time he (and any vendors, tile, cabinets, etc.) will be at the job site. We love our bathroom repair/remodel and are enjoying the backlit mirror that was suggested (we added at our cost to match our updated bathroom), please see the pictures!!!

We wanted a fence that was at the back of our driveway going to the back yard torn down and a new fence with a sliding gate constructed further down across the driveway so that our cars would be parked behind fencing by our garage. GMZ Construction had done home remodel work for us before, so we had Alex, with GMZ Construction, (along with other companies) give us a quote and discuss what could be done. Alex is able to understand our vision for our projects and make it happen at a very reasonable cost. He comes up with options and completes the job to where we are completely satisfied and it actually looks better than we ever imagined. This fence and gate work is beyond awesome!!! We highly recommend GMZ Construction for any jobs you come up with!!!!

We had a fence that was damaged from trees growing into our fence, one whole fence line and also another corner of our yard. Alex, with GMZ, tore down the old fence, cleaned up and discarded all old fencing and trash (using his own trailer) and constructed the new fence within a week, including time for construction of a new concrete base under the fence. He also did a beautiful stain finish on our side and a clear finish on our neighbors’s side (as requested). Alex worked well with our neighbor regarding their dog, keeping our neighbor informed when the work would be done for the dog kept inside their house during those times. He used both 6 ft. And 8 ft. Cedar pickets for constructing an extra area between our two yards where we requested a partial higher fence for more privacy. He did a gradual elevation from the 6ft. Part to the 8 ft. Part so the fence looks perfect. We just love our new fence and the price was very fair and the work completed before we even expected.

Wonderfully and flawlessly. Alex showed up every day - on time, and ready to work. My husband and I had been wanting to make our covered patio roof more waterproof, for the last 7+ years, but we had a very specific request - work around our 20 year old wisteria. It was wrapped all around our existing patio cover. Well, every contractor that we had come out n the past, said the wisteria had to come down. But not Alex. He said if we trimmed it back, he could work around it. Because Alex had wonderful reviews, we decided to let him attempt it. It turned out better than we expected, and ahead of schedule. We made changes along the way, that Alex was very agreeable to. We have a couple of projects, that we would love to have done in the future, and I just hope that Alex will be available, because I know that it will be beautifully done.

We wanted an approximately 5'x3' rectangular opening between living room and family room to give the areas a more open feeling. Husband & I said we'd paint it if GMZ built it. Alex from GMZ built it in 1 day. The opening had to be shifted over to 1 side due to wiring inside the wall, so the sheetrock had to be patched too. Alex added reinforcing studs inside the wall on the ends of the opening (because it is a load-bearing wall) and suggested trimming out the opening similar to trim elsewhere in the rooms, which looked better than what we were originally planning. Now that we've done the painting, it looks really good and we are very pleased with the result.

Alex, with GMZ Construction, was the first contractor my husband and I met with to discuss our extensive remodel project and we didn’t even talk to another contractor! After giving Alex our vision of what we wanted, getting his ideas of what he could do and what was possible, we hired him on the spot! Alex is kind, friendly, fair, professional yet down-to-earth. He ensured us he wanted to give us what we wanted at very reasonable and fair cost for both us and him. We had a kitchen/seating area that was separated by a wall and small doorway to the dining/2nd living area. We wanted the wall removed and 2 arch doorways opened up to the entry and main living room. We had 5 different floorings in the hall, entry, kitchen/dining and living room and 2 different levels. We wanted all one flooring with an even surface and our popcorn ceilings removed and inside brick walls and fireplace painted/updated. We asked for a large island, new cabinets, appliances moved from the wall to the island and I wanted a reading bench with shelves by the dining window. Alex took our vision and made our house into the most wonderful, beautiful and impressive family gathering area a person could ever dream of, along with his team of craftsmen. Alex is so talented, has the capability of doing anything you ask or getting someone who can help him do it! He discussed what he was going to do to make sure it is exactly what you want and does a final walk-through to get it just right. We can’t thank Alex enough for bringing our dream to life!!! It’s more awesome than we even imagined! We can only say WOW!!!
