This company is great! They were there in short time after I called. Gave me an estimate and it was very fair and he preformed the plumming job above and beyound my expectations.I know that I have needed a plummer to trust and work with with confidence..I will now use Ernies from this point on!

I got the referral for Ernie's Plumbing off of Angie's List. I got an appointment for first thing the next morning. Ticon was also unable to unscrew the piece under the sink due to poor plumbing practices when the home was built, so it all needed to be rebuilt. He was able to use a part that my husband had previously purchased, in order to save us money on the repair. It took over two hours of solid work to replace the drain. The end result is a free-flowing drain that looks a little strange, but avoided a more costly repair. We decided that functionality was all we needed, not a perfect-appearing drain. If my husband decides he wants it to look perfect, we'll get them back in. Work includes 90 day warranty, which was unexpected but appreciated. I will definitely use this company again!

,We had a toilet which was mounted to a broken flange. Ernie's Plumbing arrived at the appointed time, analyzed the problem gave a written estimate of $495 to $695 based on the damage to the flange. We authorized the repair and it was fixed promptly. When writing up the bill Chris said that the damage was minimal and the total would only come to $435. Everything was clean and the toilet is now firmly planted.

He came in...looked about both...gave us an estimate, then he completed the jobs. Very professional, but also friendly with us and our kids! Would use them again!

They came out with their drain cameras for the estimate. They charge $275.00 for the estimate and the price they quoted me was $12,500.00. I thought this was kind of expensive so I called Roto-Rooter they gave me a free estimate. The price they quoted me was $7,200.00. They finished the job for this price and added 15 year guarantee that Ernie's wasn't offering. Ernie's did refund me $100.00 of the estimate fee, but I had to call and speak with the owner to get it.

I was very grateful for the hard working and skilled plumber sent to me by Ernie's Plumbing. He was polite, informative and efficient. and, he gave me a good price. I will definitely call on them again.

After noticing that my water usage had increased based on my water bill, I contacted the city's water department who did a leak test and told me that they detected a leak on my property. Nothing was leaking inside the house that I could identify. I called Ernie's and scheduled an appointment for them to see what they could find. The representative showed up as scheduled. He determined that the leak was in the sprinkler system, and advised me to contact a sprinkler repair company, as this was not part of Ernie's services offered. He did not charge me for the visit. I did get an estimate for a non-critical repair, and I plan to use them in the future when I'm ready for the work to be done.

We noticed our guest room had water dripping from the second floor. The guest room happens to be under two different bathrooms, so we weren't sure exactly where the water came from. Ernie's was called to do a leak detection/repair. I had tried calling a few other local plumbers before giving up and setting up an account on Angie's List. I never did receive a reply from some of them, however, Ernie's answered on the first ring. The young lady that answered the phone was pleasant and efficient. She took my information and had a plumber scheduled within a few minutes. We were scheduled for an appointment between 3-7pm. The plumber arrived around 3:05. To start, the plumber went upstairs and checked all the fixtures and surrounding walls for signs of damage and obvious leaks. Since the guest room had dried out, we knew the leak wasn't persistent, so it couldn't be from a water line going to the bathrooms. It had to be from a vent, overflow, or drain. Given that he couldn't find anything he suggested it may have been the shower stall or overflow from one of the tubs. So we ran the water in each bathroom while he listened to the ceiling in the guest room. He couldn't hear water hitting the sheet rock, so the leak probably wasn't from a drain per se. We also had a storm since the room had dried, so we could eliminate water coming down one of the vents. That left a one-time overflow as the problem. At this point he offered to walk away assuming the problem wouldn't likely reoccur, or he could cut holes in the ceiling to continue troubleshooting the problem. He still wasn't convinced there was an actual problem at this point, but we couldn't explain where the water came from. After a brief discussion about the costs, and weighing whether I wanted holes in my guest room, I decided I would rather know for sure what happened than potentially end up with more damage down the road. The plumber didn't try to persuade me to make any decision I wasn't comfortable with. If anything, he almost seemed to be trying to talk me out of unnecessary exploration and avoiding the additional costs of sheet rock repair. Unfortunately for my wallet, I am the kind of person that likes a problem to have a definite resolution. I wish I could remember the man's name, but I will say he was very professional and didn't have problems answering my questions. While I am considered an expert in my particular field, I know next to nothing about plumbing. The little knowledge I have is from watching a few home improvement shows and the dialogue I had with the plumber on this particular day. Unfortunately for him, I am an extraordinarily curious person that likes to learn. That said, he never seemed bothered by my questions, and he took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Knowing now that my original problem was a loose gasket, I wish we didn't cut the holes in the ceiling. Sometimes the simple causes are frequently the most difficult to find. While the experience was frustrating, Ernie's did their best to not add to the pain. They were very professional, responsive, and thorough. In the end, he tightened the gaskets around all of our overflow pipes in all three bathrooms. We haven't had any issues in the week since our service up until the writing of this review.

my next door neighbor noticed water coming out of the water meter at the curb and called the city. When the city came out, they said it was our meter and not the neighbors, leaving a notice on our front door of the issue. I signed up with Angie's list, found, called Ernie's plumbing and they were out the next day.

Ok. They fixed the inside leaks pretty fast. They need to dig up and replace entire line to meter. Way expensive. We sold the house, and new owner put in all new gas lines inside and out which was a better and safer solution.

I did receive a follow-up call from the Company Manager, and I understand that maybe somehow a mistake was made in the calculation of my bill by the plumber, I have my copy of the invoice and my copy of the check that has been paid by my bank. I appreciate your acknowledgment and I am looking forward to resolving this issue. I have used your company in the past will positive results, if fact I have referred you to several of my neighbors. In the process of referring your company to another neighbor the subject of pricing came up and my neighbor advised me that I could have gotten my garbage disposal replaced for a much lower cost based on the resolution of this issue I will use your service again in the future, because I believe that Angie's List and their rating system really makes a difference, in addition I don't believe that this is a standard practice by your company to over charge your customers.

Everything went fine. Tech was courteous and knew what he was doing.

My impression from start to finish was one of professionalism and great customer relations skills. I could have beat their prices for the two projects, but I wouldn't have gotten the quality, and in matters of home maintenance, quality wins over low price every time. They were obviously more knowledgeable than the previous crews, spotting the code problem that had been missed twice before. Also, on the subject of code, they arranged for a city inspector to examine their work before they closed everything up; the two previous repairs were never inspected at all! I would heartily recommend Ernie's Plumbing to anybody who is willing to perhaps pay a little more to have the job done right the first time, on time, by workers who take pride in their work and know their trade. From keeping the work area clean to showing up on time looking neat, to explaining both the problem and possible solutions in a clear and objective way, these guys are the best!

He didn't just replace the toilet. I bought the toilet and he replaced it but he had to repair the flange. I got a discount because I am a repeat customer. I have a particular plumber that I like to use from there. He's very professional. He's extremely knowledgeable and I've always had a good experience with him.

I have several properties that they have worked on, and they’ve been great to work with. He was prompt and did a good job, but there was one part that he needed to go get; I paid over $200 for the installation and $200 for a part to install that was only about $5 and took him about 5 minutes to install.

All the service up to this date was good. this experience could have been way better.

I purchased this water heater on 4/18/11 for 1325.00 plus permit and tax. On 9/9/12, they (Ernies) were called out to find out why it was not working. Of course it was past the one year mark. They had to diagnose (207.00 for this) the problem and replaced the upper thermostat (68.25 for the part). On 9/19/12, they had to return to find out why we were not getting any hot water. This time they replaced the upper thermostat again along with both upper and lower elements along with the lower thermostat. This trip cost me 512.81. On 3/1/13, we called again because something caused the circut breaker to flip. We reset the unit and was getting some hot water. The technician that came out checked out the unit and said the lower heating element was going out , but he didn't know why the breaker was flipped and what might have caused this. He read through all of the previous tickets from his company and said he didn't understand what was causing this to keep happening on a 2 year old unit. Since he didn't know what to do, he went out to his truck. After sitting in his truck for 10-15 minutes, he came in and said he would check the elements again. Story changed and the element was good and he suggested we call an electrician to come out and check the voltage going through to the unit. All he could do was stick his little meter in and verify it was getting the correct voltage. To make a long story short, my husband and son-in-law went to Lowes and bought a new heating element (after verifying this was the problem) and special wrench for less than 20.00. They drained the unit and replaced the element in 30 minutes. According to the manual that came with the unit, the heating element they pulled out was not the element required by the unit. I won't trust this company ever again.

Great service - prompt, friendly and patient! The technician worked through all the other service people in the house who were delivering a new refrigerator at the same time. He was very friendly and cleaned up after his work as well. I was very happy with the service. He even offered me a discount for being a first time user which I was grateful for.

The plumber arrived when he said he would. He snaked the line to clear the drain, and was finished in 30 minutes.

Overall, the plumber was courteous but one of the stool lids was not installed correctly. I don't feel Ernies Plumbing is worth what you pay. I hope to resolve the stool lid issues with the manufacturer but probably won't use Ernies to do that work. It is frustrating to have three new stools installed and pay almost $800 for the installation and still have sloppy stool lids. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had a similar problem with stool lids from American Standard.

Plumbing was backing up. They sent a service technician to unstop drain. He couldn't find clean out and wasn't willing to really look for the pipe in the back yard. He snaked through the vent in the roof. Removed tree roots and said we should have that looked at. Service technician was overweight, sloppy and chain smoked the whole time he was at the house. He honestly seemed like he was going to have a heart attack at any moment while he was up on the roof struggling with the snake. He told me he didn't know which direction the drain went but I should have them run a camera and find out where the roots were growing. He left and a week later we were back at the same problem. I called another plumber on a Saturday recommended by a friend and he came out in the rain, worked in the back yard to find the drain, dug down to it and ran the snake to clear the line. He recommended at minimum to install a new clean out or lay a new pipe. We are putting in a clean out and having them snake the line for tree roots every 6 months for the time being. The second plumber took the time to diagnose and locate the problem and did a much better job that seems to be working.
