Description of Work: Fixed leaking toilet |Went above and beyond! Exceeded my expectations!!

Description of Work: Repaired a leak. Came out on a Sunday, which made it extra expensive. Small leak in the hose by the water meter. Replaced that pipe with a new plastic looking one, checked our water pressure, and left. Nice guys, but really expensive, we were just fed up with the leak and wanted it fixed.

Description of Work: I had three items - replacing garbage disposal, toilet flush, and replacing washers on valves. After learning that each of the last two items would each cost $400+ to "rework", the exact same cost as replacing the garbage disposal. I opted to replace the disposal, but cancelled the other two repairs. I have since found out this firm pays the employee for each additional service that he/she "sells" the customer. I thought it was odd that each service cost the exact same, but now understand why the plumber looked disappointed. I'm sure they do good work but I cannot afford over $400 to replace washers and "rework" a toilet that at most required a new flushing unit in the tank.

Description of Work: Replaced commode flange, waxing and bolts. I was surprised at the cost, however, there is a 2-year warranty. Also, Ben Franklin has a set rate for various services rather than a per hour fee. The plumber did an excellent job. It's been a long time since I've needed a plumber, so I have no idea if the price was in line or excessive.

Description of Work: Replace main water line from outside meter to the house. I had a leak in my line near the house and the 100 ft. line was buried 2 feet under the ground. They responded promptly and completed the job within a couple of hours. I was pleased with the work they did.

Description of Work: They installed a toilet and they also worked on my sump pump system and did a wonderful job. Very professional!

Description of Work: Decided to get two other quotes, both came in between $1200-$1500 for exact same service. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was going to charge $3600. Other two companies commented that was "highway robbery".

Description of Work: Reset toilet base for a tenant. The price was much more than I expected based on the Angie's List ad. If I had not been in a bind to have the repair done immediately, I would have found another plumbing provider and rescheduled to a later date.

Description of Work: Replaced tub faucet leak, flushed tankless water heater. Company is good, and have used several times in the past, but way expensive. They need to rethink their prices.outrageous !!!!

Description of Work: Ben Franklin plumbing came out to my house to look at an issue with water running down to the ground floor when the upstairs shower was run or toilet flushed. We thought it was a broken pipe, but they found that the cause was actually a backed up pipe. They did everything they could to clear the pipe and reset the toilet. While they were there, I also had them fix some leaky faucet handles. The guys were very professional, honest, and cleaned up all of their mess before leaving. We were very pleased! Only negative is that their work seems a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay if I am comfortable with the service I am receiving.

Description of Work: They gave an estimate from a Big Deal purchase for plumbing. I ended up getting a refund for the service because of the bait and switch. The experience was very bad. It was a bait and switch. I had emailed in detail what needed to be done to Benjamin Franklin and they tried to charge a large price for that work which made the experience doubly bad.

Description of Work: There was a leak. I was out og town and my daughter keep texting me pictures. It took them a few days, but they finished and they did a good job. I had them do the replacing of the entire pipe line from the street to my home.

Description of Work: Sunday, emergency, backup by washer. Prompt, clean, professional. Yes price was high but I did mention it was a Sunday. I did think it was a reasonable price. I would use them again. Very friendly. Gave me some free advice on keeping drains clear.

Description of Work: Companys policy is "not responsible for damage to sprinkler systems." MY CONTROL WIRING WAS CUT. After insisting on repair the employee reattached the wiring. Five of six zones worked. I hired a irrigation service to be sure all zones worked.. The fill dirt was left mounded on top of my grass. This process took several days in which some landscaping in the bad zone died.

Description of Work: We had a new home built January 2011 and the contract plumbers used a defective outside spigot which had a slow drip since installation. They would not inspect, repair or replace (Powers Plumbing, Ft. Worth, (Aledo) TX. We tried several solutions including adding a washer where there should have been one but wasn't! Nothing worked until we called Benjamin Franklin. Larry was very punctual, professional and knowledgeable. He explained the problem, showing me the inside fittings, replaced the defective cheaply made spigot in less than 30 minutes. Great job.....left the area neat and clean, even put on plastic booties to come into the house with the bill. Highly recommend "Ben Franklin Plumbing" and advise to stay away from "Powers Plumbing" who not only installed defective cheap spigots (we purchased all other plumbing fixtures oursevles) but left one of our bath floors covered with sunflower seeds they chewed on while working plu we had to call them back 3 times to correct installations.
