We had used ATD to coat our patio and pool deck when our pool was originally built in 2001. Over time the coating had become dirty and difficult to clean. Additionly some small cracks had developed that needed repair.
ATD did a fine job in re-storing the patio and deck and fixing the cracks. They arrived as scheduled and were very profesional during the whole process. I especially like the fact that they cleaned up and took all trash with them. The patio and pool deck look brand new again!!

Everything went as planned, discussed. Two years later the deck still looks as good as it did when first completed. I've maintained it by power washing each season. Recently got another bid from them to do the decking around the pool and patio, but have not followed up or scheduled this yet. I'm submitting this report because Angie's List apparently wants information on every single provider I've researched (even if I only researched out of curiosity).

Although I will get other bids, I don't imagine I will use any other company.

Before reading any Angie's reviews I called All Texas Deck to inquire about extending my patio and resurfacing the entire area. As I said, on their website they claim to do exactly this kind of work. She immediately informed me that they would NOT pour more than 200 sf of concrete. This information and the way it was delivered initially threw me off, but I then realized I needed less than that so attempted to continue the discussion. Then I was told that there was a $1000 minimum job. Again, this information wasn't delivered very tactfully and was a little confusing considering the 200 sf limit on concrete. I had no idea how much such a job would cost so I wasn't sure whether it applied to me. At this point she really didn't even know what I wanted but I felt she was trying pretty hard to end the conversation. I did attempt to continue the discussion because I was serious about getting this work done. She then informed me that given my sqare footage (140 sf) I would need to order the most expensive materials in order to qualify. I thought this was a fairly bizarre sales tactic, suggesting I spend as much as possible in order to meet their minimum. But I persevered, inquiring about the cost of the various surfacing materials. When I asked about the "thin pavers" they advertise, she could not give me a price because she said they contract that out. Again, this surprised me since they go to great lengths on their site to emphasize the stability of their work force.

Long story short, the person I spoke with made it clear that they had no interest in my business at every turn in the conversation. I suppose if you had a large job she might be a little more enthusiastic about your business. But I wonder why they advertise patio expansions and resurfacing if they really don't want to do those jobs. Apparently you would have to have a large patio, needing minimum expansion, in order to stay within their 200 sf limit on pouring concrete and above their $1000 job minimum. Although I could have easily met their $1000 minimum by resurfacing some of my other concrete to match my patio, I wouldn't use them under any circumstance based upon my experience and other reviews.

"Member, we are sorry that your phone experience with ATD personnel was a less than a positive experience. Although the facts that were communicated to you were correct, the manner in they were presented lacked the necessary professionalism. We appreciate your response and are taking steps to improve our telephonics."

They were very professional, completed work in the time specified and cleaned up after finished. With the intense dry summer last year some cracks appeared and they repaired in a timely manner, no questions asked.Would highly recommend anyone wanting a trustworthy and professional company to work at their residence or business.

We didn't go with this company, however we originally were going to and they very graciously gave us our deposit back. It was nothing against them, they seemed like a very good company but we chose to go with a different type of flooring. Instead of a stamped concrete we decided to go with ceramic tile and they did not do that type of work. I'd recommend them to anyone based on how they treated us. I would utilize them in the future if need be.

I thought their price was high but they do such beautiful work. They are an old company with a very good reputation. They have great reviews. Greg, the man we worked with, couldn't have been a nicer person. His men are so meticulous and they do beautiful work. If I have any more work I will have them do it, he is just a wonderful man. We thought it was a very reasonable price because of how beautiful the work was.

I phoned to ask if they would repair my concrete driveway. They answered that they specialized in ornamental finishes, if I wanted that on my driveway they would repair the cracked driveway. Since I didn't want an extraordinary driveway, that concluded my inquiry.

The deck looks great, however, it was not a good experience. Since we were only having 2/3 of the deck repaired, we figured that we could move all the patio furniture to the remaining 1/3 of the deck. Since we received no advance warning, we did not have time to move the stuff ourselves.

When i got home that evening, to my horror, they have moved all the furniture, plus massively heavy pot plants, etc onto the grass !!!! So my husband and I had to move everything to the sides of the house and stack appropriately so that the sprinklers could still run. Also we had 2 burnt grass patches where a rubber door mat and a solid metal umbrella stand were placed - nice ! it doesn't take long in this heat to kill the grass. The reason they moved all the furniture is because they were going to colour the entire deck so it all matched. That makes sense, but at least tell us up front and give us the time to move the furniture ourselves.

Then the worst of it is, they never covered the pool. So all the debris that they scraped up off the deck when prepping it, went in the pool ! i was horrified - an absolute mess ! we ran our pool sweep and after 5 minutes it stopped moving it was so heavy wtih debris. I called Pancho about these 2 issues and he said the guys would clean the pool the next day. That is not good enough !! our pool was filthy and this all could have been avoided by simply covering the pool. The next day the guys spent over 1hour cleaning the pool and it was still not completely clean. Each day for about a week i had to sweep the dust off the steps and benches to try and get it cleaned up. If they had just taken 30 mins on the day of arrival to cover the pool, none of that would have happened.

The final straw was finding a razor blade in the grass - luckily it caught my eye glinting in the sun (and i had to clean up a few water bottles strewn around and we had plenty of white gunk in the flower beds where they rinsed their equipment). Luckily neither the dogs nor us stood on the razor blade.

Apart from that the deck looks great. Unfortunately i think they are the only company in Dallas that do sundeck and since we're sure to have more repairs in our future we will have to use them.

Initial contact was pleasant, punctual, and polite. After settling the contract however, work for our small patio extension and stain/stamp overlay was pushed back three weeks from the original scheduled start date, which was originally set for 1 month after the contract had been signed. Finally tired of hearing how they were so busy they just couldn't fit me in their schedule I have moved on and begun the search for a new contractor. They may do great work, but they apparently don't have time to work for me.

I called and talked with Barry to get an estimate. We planned a time and he came out to see what needed to be done. He wrote me an estimate, and said I would save 15% if I had the work done within a month. I'm not sure if this discount was because of Angie's List or because I had been a customer some years ago. I called a couple of weeks later and scheduled the work to be done. Two men came out and pressure washed the pool deck. They came back the next day to do most of the work. Then they came back again to finish it off. The process required time in between for things to dry and set up. They came back to leave me some extra paint when I asked for it, and they touched up some spots that I told them about. They were very accommodating and did a very good job.

Very well. Good quality work. Took a long time for them to make contact with me after first phone call. We expected them to be finished before we went out of town, but they were not and we had to call and tell them to come back and finish a few days later. The deck looks very nice.

i contacted kirk freeman of this firm to cover approximately 950 square feet of concrete with several designs and colors of of patterned textures. mr freeman was most helpful in providing a prompt, detailed, and accurate estimate of the work to be done. he also was key in providing design and color suggestions that were right on target. all work was done by highly professional crews, and i was treated with the utmost courtesy throughout the job. even though we encountered unforeseen weather problems, they went out of their way to get the job done on time and at the promised cost. all in all, this was a high quality experience.

All Texas Decks Area Manager Barry Brtitton came by and estimated the job for us. He provided a lot of detail on what the process would be like, and what we would end up with. He provided a detailed bid for the work on the spot and let us know when they could start if we were interested. I called him back later that day and got the ball rolling. The work began a few days later. It was a multi-day process requiring certain treatments to dry or cure before the next step. The workers were very polite, prompt and cleaned up after each step. Barry came by on more than one occasion to make sure all was going well. The started and finished on time, and we're very pleased with the work.

The demo work and prep work took up most of the time, almost four days, with another two days to apply the 'SunDek' surface and deco seal the expansion joints, then a half day of final site clean up including vacuming the pool for any debis that got in from all the demo work. The crew was great and so was Kirk (sales person). The crew did a good job of masking off areas surrounding where they were working, The finished product is beautiful. Before we had the hot concrete deck and slippery tiles (why the previous owner would surrond a pool with tiles that are slippery when wet still amazes me) to contend with, now we have an attractive "cool" SunDeck to walk on.

Everything turned out very well. The contact person was knowledgeable and helpful with keeping us from making a big mistake on our color choice. We did have some problems arranging the concrete work before starting the deck covering, but this was only a mild inconvenience. The work looks great and the clean up was better than average. We only put a B on punctuality because we were told something would be completed prior to a freeze but the workers didn't return until 2 days later. Again, a minor inconvenience.
