This provider processes and analyzes testing performed at the Amarillo Heart Group. They are always timely and we always get our results! No problems. Billing is automatically processed through our insurance company first, then we get a statement in the mail if there is some remainder. It is normally very minimal when we get a bill.

I have seen him for the last ten or twelve years. He keeps up with the current trends on medicine, he is super nice and he is very good at explaining things for petients and he takes time to listen.

He seems to be competent. I think he is thorough and seems to know what he is doing. He is a younger MD, not that it makes any difference to me, but he seems very competent. I have been in other countries and have had five bypasses and a heart attack, and he seems to be as capable as most of the people that I had there.

When my husbands tests are done at the Amarillo Heart Group or at Babtist St. Anthony's Hospital, the results come from the Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic. We have always been happy with this clinic. No problem with testing, results, billing, insurance bililng, or anything!

The office where Dr Milligan practices is clean and fairly comfortable.  The staff is wonderful, cheerful and professional.  Dr Milligan himself is very comfortable to be with.  It's easy to discuss things with him that make you feel uncomfortable.  He's very caring and down-to-earth.  He makes me feel like I've got all of his attention.  Every bit.  Ya gotta love that when you're talking about your brain.  Neurologists generally don't have the reputation of being warm and fuzzy people.  Dr Milligan is certainly an exception to this rule.  He's very personable and open to questions.  He makes sure I understand what he's telling me and that all my questions are answered.  I think it's important to have a neurologist that doesn't make you feel hurried or anxious, especially when you're dealing with chronic illness.  I have, over the course of my illness, been seen by some of the country's best neurologists.  I've also, unfortunately, been exposed to some questionable characters.  Dr Milligan, I'm pleased to say, is probably the best neurologist in Amarillo.

While I found that she and her nurses were great listeners, it felt like they relied heavily on my input. I recently moved here from Cleveland, Ohio and they kept asking, "What did the Cleveland Clinic say about that?", or "What did they do at the Clinic?". After multiple blood tests and a sleep study the diagnosis was the I wasn't getting enough deep sleep, but there were no treatments of any type suggested. I am glad to know that the testing ruled out several illnesses that could cause fatigue, but I still left with no solution. And she seemed to be ok with that. She simply scheduled a 6 month follow-up, saying that maybe the fatigue will go away. Well, for anyone who has been heavily fatigued, 12 months is a long time (6 before appointment and 6 months after) to wait and hope that it will just go away.
So my overall impression is that she would be a great doctor to see if you are looking for 'general maintenance' and the occasional mild illness, etc. She will listen to all your concerns and give you plenty of time to talk, ask questions, etc. She will provide a thorough examination, and take notes. But for investigative medicine, maybe that's just not her thing.

He’s straight to the point & doesn’t beat around the bush. He’ll take into consideration what you want & not just tell you what you have to do. He’ll make sure you understand all your options before recommending anything. He’ s very thorough. He doesn’t have that ‘God’ complex & treat you like you have to do what he says.

I saw the Nurse Practionar and she was wonderful. Very friendly and thorough. I did not have to wait very long after my scheduled appointment time. She explained everything in detail and answered my questions. I have not had a problem with her or with the Doctor Schwartznberg, who is my regular Arthritis Doctor, and would highly recommend them to anyone, and I do often

The Head Business Administrator of Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic has a policy that they refuse to bill insurance for any services performed by the Travel Clinic. The only exception is if you can get a written notice from your insurance service in advance. It has to say that they will cover this specific services for this specific patient. Although my insurance company readily said they cover all vaccinations for travel, it took two hours of my time negotiating with the Clinic and my insurance to actually find someone who could write the kind of email the Clinic requires.
