Being a homeowner has its ups and downs. In Feb of 2024 we walked into our master bedroom to find it flooded....a nightmare. We cleaned up, turned off the water and started making calls. Servpro came to do an assessment and recommended Herndon Mcfarland Plumbing. They sent Trent out and it was the best experience ever. He was fast, patient when I had questions, and had the problem fixed super fast. We were charged exactly what was quoted. It was a stressful issue but this really ended it on a good note. Excellent. Oscar went out of his way to find a solution to the two water leaks, with careful attention to avoiding damage to the house interior (only two holes in drywall - unavoidable). The previous vendor could not find the leak(s) after two months. Oscar found and fixed the leaks in a couple of days.

I ended up having to have them come out twice because i didn't realize how far out the pipe was from the wall. But both times (Tim the first time and David the second time) they were very professional, on time, and quoted me the price before any work was done. In fact, they gave me an idea of the price when I called and made the appointments. I would definitely use them again but it probably would have been a little cheaper if I had gotten it all done at once.

Workmen arrived on time. Reviewed the problem. Shower bathtub valves leaking. Went to Home Depot to get new faucets. showed invoice for new fixture set. Neatly cut hole in wall behind shower bathtub. Repaired the valves. Did not charge for any tests since problem was specific. Took 2 hours to complete work. Cleaned up work area before leaving. Very professional and very courteous. Price was reasonable.

Sent e-mail through Angie's list to their website on Sunday. Received response that someone would contact me. No one contacted me. I called on Wednesday. Service call on Thursday. Scheduled to arrive at 11:30 am. Arrived 11:43 am. Promptly went to work. Shower head clog. Valves did not work. Had to get new ones. Informed me of labor charges before leaving to get material. Returned later to complete work. Work completed by 2:30 pm. Shower working properly.

I left an email through their website. It was already past their office hours so I didn't expect to hear a response until the next business day. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. McFarland called me a few minutes later. A technician and his helper were here the next morning. The repair was done efficiently and well. We are happy that we can use the grill again, and that we have a plumbing company for our future needs.

Herndon-McFarland was called in as a second opinion. They had to totally change what the previous plumbing company said had to be done and add on to the project considerably. However, they charged less than the company that we had used for many years and cleaned up all of the work that they had failed to do at an extremely reasonable price. We were very happy with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone for their thorough pre-work investigation and the completion of the job.

The first trip on 4/26/17 they augured out the drain in the showered.. But that did not remove the smell when the exhaust fan was on. They came out again, checked the attic and exhaust vent on roof and the attic. There apparently is no vent for the bathroom exhaust and they thought the smell was due to attic insulation. They suggested putting an exhaust vent in as well as an additional roof vent. They were wonderful, efficient, and so honest. And they did not charge for the second visit!

I have a leak stemming from a shower drain in a very difficult location. David was the master plumber that was sent to my home and through a few different methods (sound detection, static pipe test, use of a fiber optic camera, etc) he was able to provide me with some great recommendations on how to address my unfortunate predicament. He even made an excellent drawing for me that illustrated where the primary leak was and discussed with me the possible solutions to address that and the secondary leak that was uncovered. All in all, I feel so much better equipped to make a decision on how to go about fixing the leaks and this was thanks to David's excellent experience and problem solving ability.

Herndon McFarland Plumbing is by far the beats experience I ever had in my 20 years of stay in the country. Not only they are extremely professionals they are very well equipped as well . Lee McFarland is an very thoughtful and considerate individual and very responsive. His staff specially Blake and Chris are very courteous and polite, never for a moment I was made to feel that my concerns are not listened and acted upon. They started the job on time finished the job on time with a quality which exceeded expectation !! For folks looking for their plumbing needs in distress I have to say "Look no further!!" this is it.

10/25/16 visit: Leak investigation. Chris(Herndon/McFarland) arrived on time. Leak was found and options for repair were discussed and agreed upon. I was informed that a repair visit should be scheduled. I called back on 10/26/16 to get a quote for repair work and scheduled the repair visit. This was the only very small hiccup in the full process. I came away with the impression (rightfully or mistakenly) that Herndon would call me with a quote; however when the afternoon came the next day after the primary visit with no follow up call, I called them and received the information needed. 10/27/16 visit: Chris arrived on time and leak was repaired within 2.5 hours. There was a need for Chris to obtain cleanup supplies and after their lunch, the full cleanup was completed in an hour. Chris was professional and communicated clearly throughout the process and I am satisfied with the results.

They do not send out master plumbers. Typically they send out a plumber and a trainee. So they're always training during work. One of the guys pretty much knew what he was doing, but I ended up talking to their master plumber about certain issues after they left. They didn't respond as well as I had hoped they had. I had to call two or three times to get hold of the right guy, but eventually he just told me what I needed to do. They did too much training.
