Tim Leeper Roofing

Tim Leeper was very responsive and provided excellent communication. They were prompt in calling me back and coming out to assess the roof and provide an estimate. They provided an estimated price that was in line with competitors. They took time to follow up with me and promptly answer additional questions I had based on their given estimate. I was torn in a decision between Tim Leeper and SmithCo, but ultimately went with Tim Leeper because they had a bit stronger professionalism, and a stronger web presence in my opinion. Tim Leeper and SmithCo both provided great education on the process and their procedures. Tim Leeper does rely more on their website to provide this information, but to me that was preferable. I also liked that Tim Leeper handled all paperwork electronically and thru email. The documents were clear and easy to understand.
As for roof installation day, Tim Leeper was very flexible in scheduling an install date. With cold weather, they provided me the minimum temperature range to do the installation. They were ok with me wanting to have a warmer day for the install. My project installer and salesman provided their cell contact information and promptly responded to text messages when I sent them questions. Initially, they felt they might need 2 days to complete the install due to the shorten daylight days. But on install day, they started early and were very prompt. They were able to complete the install in one day with no issues. They performed excellent work onsite and did not leave until I performed an onsite walkthru with them after work was completed. I found one minor issue and they immediately corrected it before leaving. They also cleaned up after themselves very well and took care to not damage my landscaping. They picked up all nails and debris. In fact, after 2 weeks, I've only found 1 nail (even after it's rained). I would definitely recommend Tim Leeper to others.
Best thing? Locally owned too.

I heard about Tim Leeper Roofing on the Dave Ramsay Show as an advertiser.
Called after insurance company asked us to get estimates. Paul came out to estimate. He is outstanding, knowledgeable and honest. The estimate was exactly in line with the insurance evaluation, even though done independently. The work was scheduled and completed in blistering heat in under 3 days.
As Paul promised, 6 nails per shingle were used and we found only about 2 nails on the ground afterward.

The crew did damage the edge of hardy board on dormers during shingle removal. When this was pointed out, Kyle arranged for the hardy board repair which Leeper roofing covered. This did take a couple of weeks to get done, but the final result looks as good or better than the original.
We were not asked to complete payment, beyond the initial insurance check, until the work was competely finished.
Would have preferred that no damage done, but felt very good about the way Paul and Kyle handled the issue.

Paul was my contact person, and although I did not choose Leeper for the job, I think they would have also been an excellent choice. Paul was professional and responsive and I'm taking the time to post this review because I appreciate his taking the time to write a thorough bid and follow up with me. This company comes highly recommend from many folks on the Hillwood listserv, and it was a really close call between them and Bone Dry.

The process went very well. It took 5 days to complete the whole process and the roof looks great.

. It is a local company. I found them on Angies List. He did an excellent job and I find his price very fair. I never really saw him. I talked to him over the phone. He was very courteous and very responsive. He called me back. But when he came in to do the service I was away from the house. I would use him in the future.

It was a much bigger job than I thought. Nickey and Steve were the technicians that came out and did a great job. The shingles that they used as replacements matched perfect. Nickey told me the boot on the roof vents were the wrong size and should be replaced. They replaced them with no extra labor charge. While they were there, they inspected the roof and gave me two thumbs up for its condition. I had never used Tim Leeper Roofing before and was impressed when I got an email from them two days before the scheduled time to confirm that they would be there and it also had the pictures of Nickey and Steve. They did a first class job and did a great cleanup. You would never know they were there.

Had contacted several roofers previously from yellow pages, friends, signs in yards, and Angie's list. I started looking into roofers last year as I educated myself on what all should go into inspecting and replacing a roof , as I had no idea. After about five-six estimates, I went with Tim Leeper based on several factors, the first was the rep, Greg was on the roof longer than the others, he spent more time with me answering all my questions, he told me about the differences in vents, materials, warranties, and colors, which few did, some did not even show sample of shingles. I knew I needed to add a few vents, all the others simply said okay, without info on types, best for my home etc, this is why I did the research but I still needed a professional opinion on what was best for my home and area. Second I did check with Angies list and BBB and lastly (which is actually first) is my first impression when I called for someone to come out for an estimate, I do not rememeber the lady's name but she well attentive, professional and pleasant during my call, I have had people that I have called and I do not think they were listening to me, or I felt they were doing something else and I was a bother. I am very particular about with whom/where I spend my money and not easily impressed. Corey installation supervisor and crew were also great, I was kept informed throughout the entire process, it is hard to find customer service people these days, but I had them in at my house for a few days, they were not the least expensive but competitive. I am very happy with my choice of company and my roof. I would recommend.

They were prompt, very efficient and very informative. They did everything as they said they would and I was very pleased. The job turned out excellent.

The workers showed up on time, finished by their estimated time, and cleaned up everything before they left. Everything was in budget and on time! Very professional and high quality work.

I have a very steep, high-pitched roof and I had an expensive roof put on. I went through a contractor that I’m using on my house so there was a builder’s fee added to the price. This company was excellent and they did a fabulous job. He is a very nice person and his workers are excellent. The price was reasonable and they are very clean. They did a sweep of everything every day so nothing was left anywhere; the bushes were completely cleaned up and everything. I would recommend them and I would have them come out again in the future because they are very good.

Rick gave me an estimate, he was very professional and pleasant. I never felt like I was being ramrodded into getting more than I needed. Kay was the contact by phone, also pleasant to speak with and followed up promptly when I called to schedule the repair. Rick had two other workers and they were both courteous and efficient. (a rarity these days) I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

We were in the process of getting our house ready to sell. Tim Leepers staff was very patient and professional in their advice and didn't push for a new roof since it wasn't necessary. In my years with working with them they've always believed in repair not replace. On the chimney cap though they did want to replace it which was way more expensive than my suggestion of using rustoleum which is what they ended up doing. I felt good about this since the cap was rusted but not too worn down.

It was a wonderful experience. As they were up there one of the shingles fell and broke one of my outside lights. Instead of even telling me right then, they went to a store, repaired my light, and had it fixed for me before I got home. They told me this when I got home. Anyone can do a replacement roof, but not anyone can do it with this type of attention to detail and professionalism. I appreciated my experience with Tim Leeper!

I called in January to get an estimate to replace 2/3 of our roof. My call was returned promptly the next day and I was told that somebody would be out in a few days to do an estimate. About a week later I called for the results and left voice mail. My voice mail was never returned. Because we went on vacation, I waited two more weeks until we returned to call again. Tim Leeper returned my call and we discussed the estimate, which seemed to be for replacing the entire roof. He said that he would have somebody look at it again the following week. I called at the end of that week to see what had been done and left a message for Mr. Leeper. My call was returned three days later by an administrator to schedule an appointment for the estimate and I told her that the job had been awarded to another contractor.

It went very well. The work crew arrived and completed the work when they said they would.

No services were performed. I called early Monday morning and was told that a technician would return my call. When I did not receive a return call, I called back in the afternoon and was told that a work order had been issued and all of the technicians had left before my order was issued. I was told someone would call me Tuesday morning. I called again Tuesday morning and was told again that a technician would call me. It is now 6:04 p.m. on Tuesday evening and I still have not received a return call. I will not use this company even if they do return my call. I do not consider them reliable.

Their clean up was great, they showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew did a good job and was reliable. I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs.
