Description of Work: Got a quote from them, and they were professional, responsive, punctual, and understood what was required. Gave some good ideas of what they could and couldn't do, and suggestions of what I might want to do. Good tree analysis, as I have various species of trees on my property. Knowledge base of trees and vegetation was very good. Prices seemed to be competitive, when compared to others. Haven't had any work done, as of yet, so I can't comment on that portion of it, yet.

Description of Work: Nothing - I called and emailed multiple times. I would have expected a call declining work - but an A rating tells me they are at least responsive and I received nothing.

[removed member name] I am so sorry that we(The Gentle Arborist) didn't respond to your call or email. My husband, who ran the business, became very ill with prostate cancer almost 3 years ago -- and unfortunately, lots of business issues fell through the cracks, especially towards the end. I wasn't part of running the business so I had no idea how far he had let things go. As time went on he was more and more distracted due to the pain of bone cancer. He believed every step of the way that he was going to heal and continue on in life with his dream of making the planet a better place for all of us to live. He passed away on 9/12/2013. He is so missed. I'm, Candy, his widow, and am dong my best to fulfill his vision. EXCELLENT! WE TALKED QUITE A LONG TIME DURING THE FIRST CONSULTATION, AND AGREED ON LEAVING SOME DEAD TREES FOR THE BIRDS AND ANIMALS TO USE FOR FOOD AND SHELTER. HE PROVIDED IDENTIFICATION FOR TWO TREES WE WERE UNSURE WHAT THEY WERE. HIS CREW WAS THERE ON TIME FOR THE WORK AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.
Description of Work: FIRST, LOOKED AT AN OLD, LARGE OAK TREE THAT WE THOUGHT WAS DISEASED, HE DETERMINED THAT IT HAD PROBABLY BEEN HIT BY LIGHTENING AND WAS HEALING SO WAS SALVAGEABLE. THEN, TRIMMED SOME BRANCHES THAT WERE DEAD AND CROWDED BY OTHER TREES TO GIVE THE OAK MORE SPACE. CUT DOWN TWO TREES THAT WERE NOT DESIRABLE SPECIES AND WERE GROWING OVER OUR HOUSE.

I HAD TO LAUGH WHEN I SAW THE "B"S FOR RESPONSIVENESS AND PUNCTUALITY, AS IT IS TRUE THAT I DON'T ALWAYS RETURN PHONE CALLS THE SAME DAY, AND AM SOMETIMES LATE FOR APPOINTMENTS ESPECIALLY AFTER AN APPOINTMENT THAT BECAME MORE INVOLVED THAN ANTICIPATED.
