They responded quickly after my inquiry. Kassandra came out and assessed our situation and gave us professional advice on removing two trees that had grown past available space. She quoted a price in minutes via email and a schedule was agreed by all. Phil came out with a helper to complete the work on schedule. Work was done in the anticipated timeframe, was done strategically protecting nearby plants and clean up was complete. Great work.

Great service all around. Jessie called me quickly after submitting my request on their website and gave me an honest quote quickly. The next morning Corey and his team came and quickly trimmed up our two oak trees on our property and cleaned up every little bit of debris they could find. The one small flaw I think may want to be looked over is the quoting. AT the time Jessie did say she thought it would take the guys about 4 hours to complete both trees, it actually only took them about an hour and a half. I can't really complain about the fast service, but if I was paying for an estimated 4 hours, and it took less would there be a difference? Either way, they were fast, courteous and clean with everything they did. Would highly recommend!

Moore & Smith Tree Care is a truly professional company of high integrity, and the owners and employees were a pleasure to work with. Cory, the Climber Crew Chief, did an excellent job removing a 40ft high pine tree located in a very confined space, and the ground crew did an outstanding job of cleanup including blowing debris off of the roof of a nearby shed. You may not consider safety when looking for a contractor, but it is highly important for you, your property and the safety of the crew, especially when it is unfortunately not a common practice in the tree service. I was pleasantly surprised to see the crew actually wearing safety equipment and following safety procedures. Extremely satisfied with the work performance and will be using them again. Highly recommend!

Very professional, extremely nice and helpful regarding permits etc. Price was very reasonable. I felt at ease immediately after speaking to them. Job was to remove a large tree from front of the house. No problems at all. Great communication and showed up when they said they would. Would use them again in a heartbeat! OUTSTANDING!!

Phillip and Kassandra go the extra mile. Phillip came out the same day that I called them. Then I decided to add a few more things to my list and Kassandra then came back out the same day I called. I had 3 trees removed (2 large bottle brush trees and 1 tall Magnolia tree). I also had a large ligustrum tree trimmed to half its size and a huge tree in my backyard trimmed back. I had a beautiful 40 pound staghorn fern homeless after my Magnolia tree was removed and Jerry relocated it in my backyard without me even asking him! He even knew the staghorn could not be in full sun. Jerry used their heavy rope and hung it 40 feet high in my backyard tree above my waterless pond. Jerry is very experienced and has been doing this for a long time. Thank you Jerry! He really made my day! Tim was the new guy and went out of his way hauling heavy tree branches and stumps taking the longer path to ensure that none of my plants were stumped on. They even stood in front of my large gardenia bushes and caught the heavy tree branches preventing them from hitting my bushes!! When I am not selling or listing houses in the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel area, I love working in my yard. My house is completely surrounded by trees, bushes, and flowers and I was nervous (understatement) that something was going to be stumped on. Phillip was very patient with me! They all worked very well together and definitely knew what they were doing. When they were finished, they raked my lawn and blew out the street leaving everything clean and manicured. They are licensed, bonded and insured. I will never use anyone else but them and I have told my neighbors and my realtor associates how amazing they are. This was true customer service!

They did what they promised and I felt value was worth it

I was having a new roof installed, and the installation date was advanced on short notice. I needed to have low overhanging branches from a large oak tree removed. I called Moore & Smith on a Monday morning, leaving a message; Kassandra called back promptly. Philip interrupted his week off and came to the house in mid-afternoon. Seeing the situation I faced, he decided to go ahead with the job himself, and not delay by calling his crew. He did so despite being in considerable pain from recent surgery. I had not expected anything like that. The job was done well, the roofing job is proceeding as I type this, and I could not be more pleased with my dealings with Moore & Smith. Philip is dedicated, a man determined to see his undertakings through, and to do them well.

The trees in our were very overgrown and limbs were a hazard to roof. Jim, salesman, came out and told us what could be done as well as giving us the price. Very professional and personable. When the crew arrived, Corey, the manager made sure everything was cleaned up. I wasn't satisfied with the cleanup so called and spoke with Cassandra Moore. She promised that someone would come back to finish. Corey came back to rake and remove the debris to my satisfaction. He made sure that all was as it should be. Very nice and professional! I highly recommend this company! The house looks so much better and we can rest easier now that we don't have to worry that a big limb is going to fall on our roof.

Pro: They did more than what was in the contract Con: They do not clean up after themselves...they act like they, but they blow all your yard waste onto your neighbors lawns. I spent 45 minutes of my time for money I spent for them to do cleaning my neighbors lawns. Pro: Their laborers work their butts off and do good work on what you do ask for, but "cleanup" is not in their vocabulary. Con: They do not know the definition of cleanup Pro: The wife of the owner does try to make the customer happy and knows how to talk to people. Con: The husband of the company will tell you his life stories than make you feel like a moron when it comes time to get paid especially if you do not give him the form of payment he wants--cash, check, or visa--they do not accept AMEX, which we use all the time, but failed to tell us about it and gave my wife and a song and dance story; very unprofessional. Pro: They will give you free mulch anytime you want it Con: DON'T get the mulch...it's yard waste mixed in with would chips that looks like dog doo and has no curb appeal. It is just a way for them to cheaply get rid of their trash. TRUST ME--do not get their mulch, it's wood chips, leaves, pine needles, and other garbage. Con: They do not over any of your pool equipment, i.e., pool pump, filter, PVC pipes. I like to keep my equipment clean. After they left, wood chips, debri, and most of tree SAP (like cement when it dries) all over my equipment--unacceptable, unprofessional, and terrible customer service. Con: Before dumping the trashy mulch on my property they moved my trash and recycleable receptacles to the interior public walkway (away from the edge of my driveway for pickup) and they did not put them back. I missed my trash and recycle pick up because of them. Pro: The wife of the company did have her laborer come back and from the trashy mulch and she did remove my trash and recycle material...what they did with them, I really don't want to think about it. Bottomline: If I were you, get a very detailed contract of what you want, especially cleanup if you want to hire this company. Personally, I do not want them back on my property let alone refer them to ANYONE. My two properties cost me over $6k and I got about $2k of work if you combine all the cons.

This is a follow-up to the review that I left last week. I received a call from Kassandra, one of the owners, and she was very apologetic about the issues I had written about and was sincere in her desire to make it right. They were scheduled to come by this weekend to re-stake the problem tree, but when I came home this afternoon they had already been here!! SO HAPPY!!! I have adjusted my review to reflect my satisfaction and will not hesitate to use them again in the future!

The good: my live oaks are beautiful and open; I am thrilled with the way they look and the care that was taken in their pruning. The arborist that pruned the trees was very congenial and knowledgeable, and he gave me some wonderful advise about their care. The woman that I spoke to at the main number was even kind enough to waive a deposit because the job was small and the only Visa/MC that I have are attached to my bank account and I wasn't comfortable giving those numbers out (especially because we'd had issues with fraud in the past). The not-so-good: I had also requested that 2 additional trees be re-staked due to leaning. One of the trees is very small and I could have handled it myself; the other tree is an elm and required more strength and manpower than my husband and I have. Because my job was considered small, I was going to be charged a minimum price and worked into their schedule between larger jobs-which I have no problems with. I was told they'd work me in on the following Monday. By Wednesday they still hadn't made it, so I called and left a message asking if they had any idea when they'd be able to make it (I did have errands and appointments on the schedule, so it was not feasible to receive a phone call at the last minute) and stated that if I hadn't heard back from them by Friday that I would need to find another company. I received a phone call the next morning and was told that they'd be here that day; the gentleman even told me that he'd meant to call me sooner. They came that afternoon, took care of the trees, and left. After they left, it was pointed out that a diesel can had been left on my neighbor???s yard and my husband noticed that one of the stakes on the elm tree was almost out of the ground. My husband hammered the stake back down, and I called the gentleman that I'd been in contact with and left him a message asking if the diesel can belonged to his crew and about what else could be done to secure the stake, but I never heard back from him. Needless to say, the stake was all of the way out of the ground an hour later and the tree is back to it's original leaning position...where it is just going to remain.

Very good experience, seemed a little pricey but we had a lot for them to do, trimming oaks and tall palms, taking out excess palms and trash trees. They were easy to communicate with, easy to schedule, and they came on time and did the job promptly. It got too dark for them to finish cleaning up the yard, so they came back the next day and did that. No complaints, would hire them again.

Corey and his crew did a fantastic job. They brought down the tree which was damaging my house without a hitch. They gave me two loads of mulch and hauled away all the big branches down to the stump. No mishaps or damage, they even saved my surrounding plants from falling pieces. I recommend Corey and his crew for large and small tree jobs, they will treat you right. Jim was insturmental in making it all happen. Thanks again.
