Dry Cleaning Service
I had a difficult time finding good reviews about cleaners in this area. We specifically wanted our comforter cleaned with soap and water (not dry cleaned), and we wanted it done for an affordable price (not $70 to $90 like some dry cleaners wanted).
I called a couple of local laundromats that sent me straight to voicemail. I called another, which was closer to my home, but the lady who answered the phone spoke very broken English and had no idea what they charged for cleaning comforters (I don't think that she understood what a "comforter" is), she apologized and said that it was her first day at work there. (I decided that it might be worth driving a little further.)
Without much to go on, except for one good review that I found elsewhere online, I decided to give Maytag a shot.
I was very pleasantly surprised!
When I called, someone actually answered the phone, spoke English, and promptly answered my questions, offering the best price that I could find in the area. They have a very nice, updated, professional looking website. The attendant was prompt and courteous, and they had my comforter cleaned, folded, and bagged, smelling nice and fresh again, within a matter of just a FEW HOURS!
$35 with a THREE HOUR turn-around time, for cleaning a KING SIZE COMFORTER, and it turned-out WONDERFULLY!
I'm very happy that I stumbled onto this little gem in the rough! I know that they'll be washing my comforters for years to come!
