1600+ dollars so far to clear a simple clog and it’s still not fixed. 9 hours late to the water jet appointment. Flooded my bathroom, twice! The helper didn’t know how to install a toilet (first the pressure line then the wax seal). I had to chase them backing up the driveway as they left it flooding! Double charged the camera fee ($495) because they didn’t have the water jet with them. Toilet still won’t flush, tub won’t drain. Called to try and get them to stand behind their work and they wanted to schedule another $1100 trip to try and do the work they never did the first time. Don’t get ripped off like I did, take your business somewhere else.

Not Good......the tech spent 3 hours trying to diagnos the issue. After 3 hours he came to find a clogged vacuum breaker attached to my wall faucet. An experienced plummer should not have taken 3 hours to find this problem. I was then told it would cost me another $159 if I wanted it replaced. I ended up replacing the part myself. I attempted to contact management 3 times to negotiate relief on 3 hours of poor/ incompetent service. Management never responded back? Not caring about thier customer? Very poor experience.......

The first plumber came and while he did fix the first two items, his solution to bring hot water to my tankless was to simply turn up the heat from 120 to 130, I paid $340 for this visit. I take a shower and again 5 min in, cold water. Called Holt and let them know, they then sent a guy who flushed my system and said this was the fix, it was not and as soon as he left I take yet another COLD shower! Called Holt back and let them know so they sent these two guys out, one clearly was trying to learn on the job as he did nothing and did not know the answer to my questions and referred to the guy who was actually doing the work of switching out the ignition pins that I had ordered (the second plumber asked me to order parts because Holt does not carry them, so 3 weeks later these parts finally arrive). Holt then send me a bill for $580 ! upon inspection of their ridiculous bill they tried to change me for the two plumbers even thought the one did not even touch anything during the job, sure learn on the job but to change the customer is wrong and immoral. I called them and they took the absurd overcharge off and I then paid the bill of $285 because they did flush my system and add the pins. I still have a cold shower!!!! So they send out the guy that asked me to order the parts in the first place to see if the last one did things correctly, he says they have, he runs all the water in my place for 1/2 hour and says everything is hot. I take a shower, guess what yep cold again!!!!! Then they send me the bill again for $580!!!!! IF YOU HAVE A TANKLESS WATER HEAT FORGET IT, THEY WONT FIX IT AND THEN THEY WILL TRY TO BILL YOU FOR IT!!!! I do know about you but I do not pay for fixes that have not happed. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS BUSINESS. SHAMEFUL. I SPENT OVER $600 AND I STILL HAVE COLD SHOWER!!!

My neighbors had used Holt Plumbing in the past and were very satisfied. Hot Plumbing arrived after hours on the same day. Justin was very professional and polite. He kept me informed of the work that needed to be done. A blow torch was needed to clean up some shoddy welding from a previous repair. Then the old valve was removed and replaced along with a new flex hose. A new level control was also replaced inside the toilet tank. He was quick and fast. The entire job took 1.25 hrs. The pricing was reasonable. I will definately refer Holt Plumbing to my freinds, family and neighbors and use them again. Thanks Justin for the excellent service you provided!

It was nice to have a real person answer if after hours. They came out when others wouldn’t. They’re on time, professional, polite, very knowleable and take extra time to explain what they need to do before doing it. Reasonable prices for services completed. I would DEFINATELY hire them again and have referred them already.

Great. My experience was very positive, unlike the previous reviews here. I chose Holt because of good Google reviews and good price. Since they charge by the hour I was hesitant to select them, but there were no surprises. They were competitive in estimates. And they give a Senior Discount, which is much appreciated. Lori in the office was pleasant and excellent in giving estimates for heater install with required expansion tank and regulator and how to measure current tank to ensure I got the correct size. Based on measurements, I needed to get a 30 gallon instead of a 40 gallon like I had (they make heaters larger since I last had the 40 the installed.) There were no surprises - no addons, no extra parts or labor, no markups, etc. The plumbers called to say they were on the way, arrived on time, were pleasant, professional, skilled, answered questions easily and thoroughly, and were focused and efficient in time management. They removed all debris and cleaned up well. Can't say anything but a good experience for a large, labor intensive project in a small closet space. Will call Holt again. Recommend Holt to others.

Horrible. During the first visit, they worked on a toilet tank and drain stoppers. I paid over $500 for the work but they didn't properly secure the toilet tank. I called the office to report this and the drain stopper they broke instead of fixing. Took 4 trips over a month's period for them to finally remember to bring the tool they needed to finish the toilet and the stopper. On the fourth visit, they fix the stopper they broke and corrected the tank they improperly screwed down, then sent me a bill (overtime rate) for the drain stopper. I called the office and the office seems unconcerned about the poor quality work and improper charge. Makes me think this happens a lot. It appeared that Holt is used to people calling about their poor quality job. The office was not surprised and did not offer apology. Instead, the office wanted to "help me with a discount on the drain stopper work". That was after I explained to her that the drain stopper stopped working after a previous visit's work that I already paid them over $500 for.

Holt did a nice job, we had another company come out a couple of years before, it was 2000, that was a bad experience. The guy said just forget about it he didn't charge us. Although competitively speaking they're neither under or over its just I don't like the idea of having to pay so much for water. I stood right over them, the inspector, they had to re approve it was standing over them too so we know that they did a good job. They were here when they said that they would be, they were really backed up. Well they set up an appointment immediately. Thats the best they could do. It wasn't like I got on an answering service and they didn't return calls or any thing. so they were responsive in that respect. I intend to if I have to.

They had a little issue and had to come back. It was a call back on one of them, they installed four toilets. I've used them for three or four years.

We had a disastrous event at our home last night after coming downstairs to find water and sewage covering the entire first floor of our home. We called another service provider (Lee Co.) and waited three hours for them to arrive, but they never came. Eventually at 9:30pm we decided to call Holt Plumbing. Within 5 minutes, a very kind and courteous customer service person returned our call to better understand the details of our issue and to tell us that a plumber would be at our house within an hour. Almost exactly an hour later, the plumber arrived. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was our hero. We had been waiting a total of 4.5 hours for help since we had wasted so much time waiting on Lee Company. We were so thankful to Holt Plumbing for their responsiveness and for sending someone so quickly. The plumber was in our home for almost an hour. Before leaving he tested all water sources in our home (faucets, toilets, bath tubs) to make absolutely sure that the problem was resolved. Even though it was almost midnight by the time he left us, he was courteous and kind the entire time. We wish Holt Plumbing had been our first call. We will definitely call them first next time!

Lousy job. Didn't glue pipes. Convoluted paths. Leaked all in cabinet in less than two months. Was told they only guarantee 30 days.

Major leakage end of March. Was told 30 day guarantee on work. I called someone else with an A rating.

We had a leaking pipe from our water heater, it is a quick drip. Called Holt and they sent a guy five hours after we first contacted them. The plumber showed up and inspected the leak. Then he reached in and started wiggling the water pipe and water started shooting everywhere. I would have expected him to shut the water off before moving the pipe. When the water started bursting out like crazy, he tried to deny he created the flood and made an excuse for it instead of owning the problem. This resulted in a huge water mess that I had to clean up. Very unprofessional.

I've never bothered to reviewed a company on Angie's List until now, but I feel obliged to write about my excellent experience with Holt Plumbing.  Our water bill has slowly gone up several months.  I knew I had a leak, but could not find it inside.  Holt Plumbing came one day and spent about an hour confirming that there were, indeed, no leaks inside.  We had to do a leak detection test on the exterior of our property.  Sure enough, there was a leak right next to the water meter.  Unfortunately for me, that leak was on MY side of the meter.  Holt Plumbing came out promptly with a two man team:  Chris and Moses.  They dug a very small hole in my asphalt, fixed the leak and filled it back in with concrete.  They were quick, courteous and very professional.  I would definitely use Holt Plumbing again.
