HORRIBLE from top to bottom. The guy who came out to do the initial inspection was nice enough but the work was reprehensible. My washing machine flooded my hardwood floors and it took over 2 months to get everything done. he came out and looked at the damage and submitted it to the insurance said he'd have his floor guy get in contact with me (floor guy was with Rite Rug) In the meantime, his guys came in and tore up half of my floor. Only half. I told the floor guy I wanted tile in the kitchen instead of wood. He agreed and I told the tile guys when I left I showed them the pattern I wanted put down. They said ok we can do that and then DID NOT DO IT. The floor guy didn't order my floors. After a few weeks I finally called and asked what the deal was and he said "I was waiting on you to make a final decision". I told him that I had already said I wanted exactly the same floor as I had before. He ordered it, said it was on special order....this took another several weeks. It has been a month now that I'm walking on half a damaged floor, half a concrete slab. The wood finally comes in and the guy says he could put it in Friday. That's the day before my family was to come visit for Christmas. I said sure he could put it in as long as it was done that day because my family was coming to visit. He said it would be fine as long as we didn't walk on it. Uhh...it's the entire downstairs of my house, that's not an option. So he says "oh it'll be fine". I leave the house that Friday and the floor guys come in. 8 PM at night I'm on my way home and I get a call he tells me they are no where near done, what do I want him to do? I told him "I want you to finish the floors like you promised- I told you I had family coming tomorrow, they can't come celebrate Christmas without a floor!" I get home and the floor guys have MAYBE put down half a floor. The entire day gone and this is all that's done? They said at the warehouse no one told them the size of the job (maybe 500-600 sq. ft), that they would have to move furniture and tear up the existing floor (which was not difficult because it was a floating floor, I could have done it and saved myself the headache). They offered to stay all night and work.....really guys? Me, a single lady trying to sleep upstairs? You should have gotten the job done whe you said you would, not wait until the last minute. So I told them to get out. The weekend goes by, I celebrate Christmas with my family with no floor. They come back with more guys who dont' speak English on Monday. THey hastily put in a "new floor" that was done when I got home. I had floor, but it was TERRIBLE. There are gouges, scratches and damaged boards everywhere. They got glue all over the walls, grease on the walls, the floor is WARPED in places, the shoe mouldings are crooked and they painted my slipcover into the wall! I took pictures of everything and they fixed one thing. So great, I had a perfectly good floor before - put down with love by the previous owners - it was done in seconds, not first quality but much better than the crappy job these guys did. STAY AWAY FROM CASE!!!
