They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the circuits, leaving me back in business. Unbelievable promptness and efficiency too - I called Mike in the morning and he was at my house later that afternoon. They were in and out in about 1.5 hrs.

Very good. Mike and team was challenged due to previous owner wiring the heater incorrectly. They were able to work the issue and fix. Heater was back on shortly thereafter.

He arrived on time and figured out the issue within 10 minutes.  It turned out that another switch on the same breaker with three hot wires coming into the same junction had a wire nut twisted on backward, causing the hot wire to the malfunctioning switch to come loose.  He took care of that problem and replaced the switch we originally wanted changed within 30 minutes.  Efficient and knowledgeable.  We were pleased.

I'd tried to install the switch myself, and the wiring was a confusing mess, since a smart switch requires a neutral wire in addition to line and load, and in the three-way configuration none of the wire colors matched what they were supposed to be.  In any case, I messed it up completely, and called Mike due to his good reviews.  He offered to get to me the following day.

He had never installed home automation switches before, but he took his time reading the diagrams and figured out the proper configuration.  Turns out that the switch I'd been working with was bad, and when he tried with another switch I had on hand, he got it working quickly.

Mike communicated with me throughout the process, and although it was frustrating and took much longer than he'd probably anticipated, he worked with patience and figured it out.

Price was about what I expected, but considering the time and frustration he ended up going through, I felt it was more than fair.

I sent an email to Posey Electric through Angie's List on 02/12/2015. The owner, Mr. Posey actually called me within 10 minutes of my sending my email. I explained my problem, he was extremely courteous and said that they could come out first thing in the morning.  Mr. Posey, the owner was the one that actually came out and replaced the dryer plug. He was punctual, courteous, and we will be using them again in the future.  Posey Electric does business the way business should be done. Prompt, professional and affordable.

We live in a new subdivision so TWICE I called the electrical contractor (whose employees are in the neighborhood every day) to request a quote for some additional electrical work in our home. The receptionist took my contact info, but my calls were NEVER RETURNED. Businesses who ignore customers drive me crazy!

Luckily, I found Posey Electric contact information on Angie's List and phoned to request a quote. What a wonderful experience from the very first call! Michael Posey returned my phone call within 30 minutes and we made an appointment for him to visit our house the next day. He arrived right on time, we walked through the house and discussed our and quot;wish listand quot; which included adding new ceiling fans and replacing some other items. It was clearly understood between us who was providing what (us the ceiling fans and replacement light fixtures, Mr. Posey the 1000 watt commercial grade dimmer switches and the labor).

Mr. Posey referred me to his contact at Hermitage Lighting for the replacement lights. She (Susan) was very professional and we had the replacement fixtures in hand within a few days.

Mr. Posey phoned me to confirm our appointment for the installation yesterday, and again, he arrived at the appointed time. He got straight to work, kept a steady pace, cleaned up after himself, all the things you expect from a contractor working in your home.

Do yourselves a favor, and hire Posey Electric for your project! We definitely will recommend Posey Electric to our neighbors and friends. And you can bet that we call him again if we need electrical contractor services in the future.

Mike installed a bathroom vanity light, dining room chandelier, and kitchen pendant light. He arrived on time and did an excellent
job. Cleaned up and removed old fixtures. I will definitely use Mike in in the future. Very satisfied.

he showed up, I showed him all the needs and problems, and he deftly handled all of the options, with clear discussion on the various ways to solve the problem, reminding us which codes for proper electrical were required, and should be updated, and fixed everything very (VERY) quickly.
I would call again for any wiring or electrical problem in the future.

I called Posey Electric on a Thursday and we setup a call back appointment for the following week, as I could not meet until the following Thursday. On Wednesday, I received a call from Posey and we scheduled a Friday afternoon appointment as it was the most convenient for my schedule. On Friday, he called and confirmed the appointment for around 4pm. He showed right on time.
During our calls to setup the appointment, I let him know that we have several small issues that were starting to drive my wife and I nuts. When he arrived, we went through each issue one by one and he diagnosed and repaired each on the spot. I stood beside him the entire time and he explained his process of determining the issues and the methods we could take to repair them.
I had used Posey once last year from a friend's recommendation (he installed exterior wiring with switches to control two fans under our deck), so I was already comfortable with him and knew he'd do solid work. Posey is extremely courteous and professional. It's rare to find a service company that actually takes their shoes off when entering the home. He was also careful with tools inside our home, as he picked up his trash and took extra care not to damage the walls or paint. Please note, none of our projects required drywall cutting (which makes a huge mess), but I'd imagine he'd be just as thorough in those instances as well.
After he repaired our main issues, I asked him to address a power load problem we have in the garage. Between the garage doors, fridge, freezer and my power tools (I like wood working), the load was wreaking havoc on our power supply. Posey offered several methods to correct this load issue. After he explained each option thoroughly, we decided to run an exterior line from the main box that would serve as a decided receptacle for my power tools. It was 6pm on a Friday, so we scheduled another appointment for later next week.
I am extremely satisfied with Posey Electric. After two successful jobs and one pending, I consider Posey Electric my electrician and I happily recommend them to anyone else needing professional, courteous and honest electrical work.
