ARVINS PLUMBING

Well, it was fairly expensive, $1500, but not untoward. We got a bigger unit, a gas one, and a lot of the plumbing connections needed replacing. So We were satisfied. The owner came out with the assigned plumbers to make sure everything was done correctly. All of the fittings were done right and everything has worked perfectly since. My next door neighbor called Hiller - another plumber, HVAC company on the list - because his ac tanked. They initially put in the wrong unit and had to come back out to replace it. Then he had a problem with the gas line and had the gas company out to fix it. Come to find out, he might not have needed a new ac unit in the first place. The whole thing was probably just a gas line problem. I think the integrity and skill of who you hire to do the work is critical. I would definitely recommend Arvin again.

This was hands down the best plumbing experience I have ever had!
  I called Ron about my underground water main leak on Tuesday and he came out that afternoon.  He recommended a few places that pipes usually break and gave me an estimate for fixing that if those locations actually had the break but unfortunately they didn't.  Given the 1/2 the distance to the road is around 200', finding the leak became a much bigger job.
Once that was determined, Ron gave me a few options to try to do the repair or install valves for air so that I could have a  leak detection service come out.  I decided to replace the entire line from the house to the new valve so that I would know it was one continuous line, upgraded to new materials and put back correctly.  The location of the original water line was less than optimum, but Ron and his team stuck with it all day and into the evening to get my water back on.  And not only that, they had to tear up a good portion of a planting bed to get to the line, and they put it back as good as new.  He even fixed some places where the line was shallow and put back at code depth.
Bottom line: Ron and his guys tore up a bunch of stuff, put in 200' of new and better water line and put it all back in a day and I can barely tell where they dug.

Outstanding. We have a house in Hermitage, TN that was built in the 1970's. We first called Ron Arvin on a Sunday with a clog that was backing up into our showers. He came out that day to take a look at the situation. He crawled under the house (we have a very narrow crawl space) and he tracked down the problem. He patiently explained the situation and gave us a couple of options on how to handle it. The old drainage pipe had begun to sag and develop areas where sediment could collect and become a problem. The next day, we had him replace a stretch of pipe which included the area where the clog was. He was very meticulous in installing the new pipe to maintain the proper grade necessary for flow, though there were many obstacles in the crawl space. When he was finished, he showed us the main obstruction which caused the clog. This all took place in 2012. The next time we called Ron was the fall of 2013. We called him to install a pressure regulator valve because our pipes were making a humming noise when more than one fixture was on. Again, having to navigate around many obstacles in our crawl space, he installed it with no problem. No more noise. He is prompt. His prices are very reasonable. His quality of work is outstanding. We appreciate the fact that he always takes the time to explain the problem and the solutions. We're sorry it took so long to sing Ron's praises. He's definitely deserving. Knowing a great plumber is indispensable.

I got their service through Angie’s List.  The guy is really good.  He called before he came to remind about the appointment.  He is first class and I highly recommend him.  He was very professional and available 24/7.  I was satisfied with their service.

I phoned Arvin's Plumbing on a Monday and Tuesday morning Jeremy was at my door at the promised appointment time. He repaired the faucet and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company!

I made an appointment for a specific time over the phone with Arvins Plumbing . Jeremy showed up 10min EARLY, which was a nice change from most service providers which can keep you waiting for long periods of time. Jeremy was very nice and professional. He explained everything he was going to do and did a great job. He replaced the spigot.  I would use Arvins again,

Ronald Arvin and his outfit are absolutely exceptional!  We suffered a total loss of water in our home due to the recent back-to-back frosts.  They came right away.  They sent a crew of two (Jeremy & Tony) to get the job done right and in a timely manner.  They were pleasant and professional, explaining what they were doing, and why, every step of the way!  And the price was fair.

After researching on Angie's List, we picked out 3 companies in our vicinity and I reviewed each with my husband.  Arvin's was at the top of my list as they had a litany of experience with frost repair related issues (and they had the Angie's ribbon ;-)!  As we were new customers for them AND we were in the midst of one of the longest and most severe cold weather spells that Middle Tennessee has seen, I hoped that if we called them on Friday morning, they could fit us in the following week.  But...we had NO water.  Well, they listened and they heard that - "No Water - Well, we need to come help you out right away!".  Jeremy arrived, dead tired, after a long days work on Friday (the same day we had called!)

He spent a good 45 minutes evaluating the issues and then gave us his recommendation - replace the whole system (too many breaks to make "patch-work" fixes a good idea AND the system in place WOULD break again (and again). They recommended putting in PVX, which is a pipe than can expand and thus avert a lot of frost related challenges.   We took a very deep breath...and decided that they were right.  (We had some issues with frost last year too.)  Then the next questions - when and how much?  The price quoted was fair (but another deep breath).  The "when" was amazing!  They were going to send a crew in the next day (Saturday!) and get the water on by sun-down! 

They did arrive the next morning and start work in the frosty weather.  The strong work ethic was apparent - very professional and capable!  They just got to it and got it done!  To say they were our 'knights in shining armor' would not be an exaggeration. We cannot say enough positive about this company.  They were sensational to us! 

It turned out to be a little more complicated but he was able to take care of it.

Ron responded immediately by altering his schedule as my wife was home alone when our water pump began leaking severely.  Ron not only made the repair, but reconfigured the bypass plumbing and set up the pump to run only on demand vs. continuously as set up (incorrectly) by the previous owner.  We are new to town and can't be happier with Arvin's service and will use them for all future plumbing projects

The job went well. It took 4-5 hours. I have no complaints. Mr. Arvin's knows what he is doing and does it well.

Outstanding ! I called Mr Arvin at 12:30 and he was on the job at 1:30 He did an excellent job and was done within an hour and even showed me where the outside turnoff was for the house.  I would highly recommend him.

My Toto Bidet seat was leaking.  I checked Angie's List and found Arvins to be the highest rated plumbing company with good reviews.  I called Ron, the owner to set a time.  He showed up on time as scheduled.  He checked the hoses on the bidet seat, etc.  It could not be repaired onsite.  He removed it so I could return it to the manufactory for repair.  Also, another bathroom had a wobbly toilet.  Ron placed a coin under the rim instead of charging to remove and reset the toilet. I had never even thought of doing this trick...but it worked. This was the first time to use Arvin's Plumbing and will use again.  I found Ron and his helper to be very professional and competent.  Since the repair, I have called Ron for his advise on purchasing a new toilet for another bathroom.

I have 2 toilets in the home & neither would flush properly. I called Arvins plumbing about 4:00 pm & the technician came out right away arriving about 4:30 pm. He worked outside for awhile and then 2 more crew showed up (3 workers total, including the owner Ron Arvin). Ron used a camera to visualize the location of the clog & determined that it was an issue with the city sewer line. He advised me that the city would provide emergency service for free. Because they did not unclog the line he did not charge me anything. I had been told that it was $40 just for a service call but there was no charge because they did not fix the problem. These guys worked for almost 3 hours without any compensation. That to me is amazing! Additionally, Ron made a follow up call at about 10:00 pm to see if the city sewer dept responded (yes, they came out that evening & fixed it in the morning). I want to let the folks know that if you want prompt, reliable, really great service from people who CARE about your situation, Arvins is the best!

They were very acomodating while we decided the course of action and extent of services needed. The plumber came again the next day after we called that morning with our decision. The work was done quickly and has been sufficient. Had we made some kitchen remilodeling decisions before making our call to Arvin's, everything would have been completed during the first visit; the plumber had evrything he needed with him. They are very nice to work with.

Excellent work. Credit cards are "accepted" but you'll be charged extra for using one.

When I called Mr Arvins I asked if he could come within the next day because I was having guest over. He was very accomandating to fit me in his schedule. Mr. Arvins was punctual,professional and knowledgeable.  He did the job in as neat as you can, and left our  house that way.  He had everything he needed in his truck, which meant we didn't have to wait for any part that was needed.  There was a slight problem with our Moen faucet we bought and he figured out the problem and advised me what repacement part to ask for .  I called the Customer Service and it was taken care of.

Made recommendations and evaluated future renovation projects. Did not charge for the evaluation!

Amazing.  it was 2 hours from the time I called them until the plumber walked out the door with the job completed.  Additionally, I called the next day because I thought it was still leaking and the plumber was back right away.  There was no leak and the water was residual but the response was still great. No charge for the second visit.

Ron Arvin is a consummate professional. He was very personable and courteous, punctual. He is a man of his word and delivers the product as he says he will. 
Arvin plumbing contacted me promptly and scheduled an appointment to see the problems that needed fixing. I was given the basic rundown of what was needed the most and some other options as to what else needed tending to in the future if I didn't want to go ahead with the work now. I was given an itemized list complete with prices of each service as to what I could choose from on necessary and advised repairs and options if I so desired. I informed Ron that I didn't want to go over $2500 and he made sure that his fee did not exceed that amount. He even knocked off nearly  $200 to accommodate my figure. 
Arvin kept me posted every step of the way. They even rescheduled my appointment a day early to work with my schedule. In short:
I was told what needed doing. I was given other options of advised work. I made my choice as to what I wanted. Work was scheduled and performed. I was called upon completion, given the bill and payment submitted. Easy.
I highly recommend Arvin plumbing. They work hard not only at their job, but at being prompt and fair and courteous. The personnel are courteous with family members and conscientious about not disrupting your home life any more than they have to to get their work done.

Ron took every precaution to protect the carpet, furniture and keeping dust and debris to a minimum.  Ron took pride in leaving the job site as he found it.  We left the hole open for a couple of weeks as Ron suggested, to make sure we had all leaks repaired.  Ron guarantees his work, but we have not had to call him back.  Ron does it right the first time.  We are very pleased and would recommend Ron to anyone who needs plumbing help.
