R & E Remodeling

R & E Remodeling responded to our request for changing our existing kitchen cabinets from a dark finish to an off-white antique look finish to match a recently added island. Robert came out and gave us a quote for the job, plus for repairs to an upstairs bathroom which had damage from a leak; and a window sill that needed repairing. The time frame estimate was 2 weeks. His well-trained professional crew of Chino, Tomas, Temo, Mario and Maria did a fantastic job of delivering exactly what we wanted to be done. After removing the existing doors and drawer fronts which were to be refinished in their workshop, the crew walled off the area with floor to ceiling plastic, complete with long zippers to give access to the area, protecting the surrounding areas while they sanded and spray painted the remaining cabinetry. Tomas and Temo did the majority of the work, with Mario working on the bathroom and window sill project. Chino and Robert would come from time to time to check on the quality of the work being done to make sure everything was perfect. When all was finished, Maria did a meticulous job of cleaning up the work areas. Robert must train his crew to look for places that could use a repair! Chino observed that there was a large stain on the ceiling where the bathroom flood had leaked down. This was repaired and we would never know there was a stain there. Mario noticed that there was a large crack in the ceiling at the top of the stair well where the house did some settling. This was repaired and, again, looked like new. Maria even noticed that a bird had built a nest in the wreath on our front door! The eggs have hatched and house finches have created a happy family there! In spite of a large challenge --- there was a chemical reaction between the paint and the glaze due to the paint supplier substituting a different glaze product, which then required the crew to return the doors and drawer fronts to the shop to be re-sanded, re-painted, and re-glazed, the entire job was still completed within the 2 week time frame that had been proposed by Robert! To do this required the crew to work over a weekend. We especially appreciated the email that Elvia would send us each night to alert us as to what to expect for the next day's work. Our neighbors were equally impressed that R&E Remodeling had sent each of them a letter alerting them to the fact that they would be doing work at our home and if there there were any problems with their vehicles to please contact R&E directly. R&E is able to do a large variety of remodeling and home repairs. We will probably be hiring them for some future projects! We highly recommend this company and their very well trained professionals for any job big or small!

Robert goes above and beyond to explain in detail the pros or cons of your ideas, and his recommendations come with expert ideas in regards to maintaining and care, not just what looks good. He and his team were timely, kind, and quick to adapt when we changed up ideas on the fly. They came back if we found anything that seemed amiss, and they sent a housekeeper to clean up our entire home, even though we only did a bathroom. Highly recommended for price, value, timeliness, and grace under pressure. Fantastic!!

R & E was very easy to work with. They listen to what I am trying to achieve and work with me to provide the most frugal approach to accomplish what I want to accomplish. They constantly keep me informed of scheduled to be done and usually exceed expectations.

The short review: We are absolutely thrilled with our kitchen renovation! Robert and Elvia are great to work with. They're very organized and efficient. Our project was finished even quicker than we could have hoped at a fair price. Workers were here almost every day, with very little downtime. His guys are all very polite and respectful and do a good job of keeping a clean work-site. I recommend R&E remodeling without hesitation. More detail if you're interested: We hired R&E to do a kitchen remodel. They removed several walls, some of which were load bearing, to double the size of our kitchen and open it up to our den. The wood floors had to be matched, repaired, and refinished. They assembled and installed our cabinets, fabricated and installed granite, completed necessary HVAC and electrical work, painted and repaired drywall as necessary, installed our appliances, and installed a tile backsplash. All for very reasonable prices. They provided a detailed estimate and did not constantly call asking for more money once the work began, which I appreciated. There were a few items that were not initially completed to our satisfaction, but Robert did an excellent job of making good on his commitment to deliver a product that we would be happy with.

Initial work was subpar. Called them, they responded promptly. Overall cost of the job seemed more on the expensive side.

This involved drywall, ceiling repair, chandelier support and electrical. Excellent service, on time and below estimate. Left the area spotless. Accommodated my schedule. Highly recommend.

Hired R&E to remodel a small bathroom based on high approval ratings on Home Advisor. Their bid came in at about the right price, so we hired them - our mistake. Workers were all subcontractors with almost no direct supervision from Robert (owner); some were good/experienced, others were incompetent/inexperienced - one even told us he was a better contractor, and to contact him if we needed any other work done! So not only was the work spotty, but also the vendor they recommended failed to deliver ordered vanity/sink after a month, and gave my wife a difficult time when requesting our money back, as work was being done and they could not provide a delivery date! Finally, a shower door was installed backwards (w/handle holes facing inward...), so they send one inexperienced guy to handle this, and he dropped and shattered the door! It took weeks to finally get the replacement installed correctly, so this relatively small bathroom remodel took over a month to complete!

R&E not only did our doors but remodeled our kitchen. They were always on time, gave a schedule, accurately priced items, and most importantly did good work

They replaced a brick mailbox that had been destroyed when hit by a car. Looks great!!! Shape is the same as old mailbox and matches others in neighborhood. We are very pleased.

Very happy with the work R&E Remodeling performed at my house. Tasks varied from minor to more complex plumbing adjustments to larger wallpaper removal and painting (interior and exterior) to electric work. All was accomplished efficiently. They are very responsive and keep you informed while the work was ongoing.

I didn't think that I would find someone more particular than my wife... and then I met Robert! THAT'S A GOOD THING! Robert and his crew did an amazing job painting my great room. He pointed out small things that I didn't notice to be addressed. He was so knowledgeable that I had complete confidence in his recommendations. For example, I asked for a trim color. When he painted it, he didn't like it and didn't think I would like it. We talked about it and the trim did not match. I thought it would, but I was wrong. Before continuing, he called a decorator that he worked with to get advise on the color scheme. They made a recommendation that I loved. More importantly, my wife loved it!!! He painted my house as if it was his. His pride in his work was evident. The job was so well done that I've asked him to quote me on several other remodeling projects. The quality of work is well worth his bid! Best customer service to date of any contractor that has worked on my house. He visited the job site daily until the painting was complete and constantly asked for my input on how the process was going. When the job was done, he was not satisfied with how my great room was cleaned, so he sent someone else to clean it. FYI - the painter left my house pretty clean, it just wasn't up to Roberts standard. A day after the job was complete, a supervisor came to my house to make sure I was satisfied! Great work and customer service!

This company was so professional. We received an email each evening detailing time of arrival and departure and what was expected to be done. They repaired our kitchen island and sink cabinets and they look like new. Their painting of the cabinets was excellent. Will definitely be using them again as they do almost everything including electric.
