Was 5:30 am when we woke up without heat....called their 24 hr service but told them we could wait til the office opened. At 7:30 I received a call from the company saying a technician would call before coming out. Within a couple hrs Jason was here a following a thorough check he found a switch that was bad. Thankfully he had new switches in his truck and he quickly fixed and we were back to having heat. Sooo thankful for their honesty, reasonable pricing and professionalism. Will definitely call on them again if needed.

We highly recommend this company. There were some adjustments that needed to be made due to the architectural features of our home and they stuck with the job until everything was done to make the new unit run smoothly. It’s never difficult to get a response when needed.

I called 10/16/17 to get a quote for a new hvac system for my home. the gentleman came the next day, looked over my existing equipment, discussed a few details, then said he would email a quote by mid-morning 10/17/17 and follow up with a call in case I had questions. I haven't heard a word since. I didn't receive a quote or a follow up phone call or any explanation. this was a waste of my time. i did receive a quote from 2 other contractors and have purchased a unit from one of them

When I called the office, a very pleasant and attentive female had a technician come out the very next day. He was prompt, friendly, and very agreeable to checking under the crawl space. After coming inside and agreeing that he also could detect the musty smell coming from a main return vent, he got in the crawl space and checked all the ductwork for loose connections, or any obvious defect in the integrity. After at least 15 minutes, he came out and told me that the insulation around the ducts was fine, and that everything was intact. He called his manager to inquire as to what could be causing this smell. The conclusion they came to is that sweating ducts in crawl spaces or attics is just a fact of life in hot humid East Tennessee summers. It was suggested that we close half of our 20+ temp vents to decrease the flow of hot humid air in the crawl space. However, we could not get the temp vents to stay closed unless it drops to below 50. Other then that, we were offered no other solution. The other 2 companies that checked the system previously said the ducts were not sealed correctly, and that the insulation was not good enough or wrapped too tightly. David, the Roger Newman Tech said neither of these was evident in our situation. So, despite appreciating his honesty, we still have no solution to the problem. It is almost nonexistent now that our temps are dropping and the air is much less humid. If anyone has other suggestions, we would welcome them. We bought this house 3 years ago, and this is the second summer we have had this problem. As long as the A.C. is running, the smell is minimal. But as soon as it stops, it's almost like there is a backdraft only from 2 of the 3 return vents inside the house. This is downstairs. We have a second split unit for the upstairs, and there is no musty odor coming from that system at all.

Long story short:  Our old HVAC system was on its last legs and we were tired of spending $$$ on it!  It was time for a new home heating and air conditioning system. 
We did due diligence and looked on line, talked to friends and family and, since we had decided on American Standard as our system of choice, it was an easy choice to make:  Roger L. Newman Company: Heating & Cooling  came highly recommended all round and was the best choice.  And it was the correct choice.
Sales rep Brian paid a visit on Friday, March 4 to listen to what we needed and give us all the details on what they could do and what it all would cost.  He inspected the old system and took measurements and notes on all the specs.  He then gave us the cost for the new American Standard Platinum system + accessories  we wanted.  The cost was actually less than we had anticipated after looking and comparing on line.  There was no hard sales pitch for anything extraneous, only very detailed answers to questions and a desire to help and accommodate us and provide what we wanted.
Well sir!  We were absolutely thrilled to hear that they could install the system on the next Tuesday, the 8th of March!  We thought it would probably be a few weeks and we would have to get in line while the system was on order, but they were here bright and early on Tuesday (only 4 days since Brian showed up) with the new system.
To summarize the day: Jason, Grayson and Mike worked non-stop removing the old system and installing the new one.  Each man was courteous and professional and, at the end, explained everything they had installed.  By the end of the day we had our new system up and running perfectly .  The guys cleaned up everything and hauled away the old system. 
Brian followed up the next day and we were really pleased with how quickly, how professionally and how well everything was done. We also received a call from the office to make sure everything was satisfactory.
 We DO appreciate the customer care and follow up!

Our new house was built last year and this company installed the natural gas furnace, the central air conditioning, and the bonus room mini-split unit.
It's the first time we've had natural gas heat and we love it; the unit works great, and the AC also works well.
Right after we moved in, the bonus room mini-split gave us some trouble. Roger Newman's workers came out here multiple times to work on the problem. They eventually figured out what the cause was and made the repair. Since then we've had no further issues.

After 18 years our heat pump decided to become problematic. After researching Angie's List and researching replacement units we called Roger L Newman Co Heating and Air for quotes on 5/19.  Greg Newman came by the house same day and worked up 2 quotes. Silver and Gold system replacements. We decided that the 38 year old Tappan gas furnace was on borrowed time so the decision was made to replace both units with the American Standard Gold units. Greg was personable, professional and knowledgeable in explaining our needs for the size of our home.
Because of the company work schedule, the install appointment was made for 5/27. Due to the heat pump fan stopping and not starting, Greg offered to come by and wire the unit so the fan would run continuously. Therefore, I no longer needed to take the cover off the heat pump and spin start the fan. This also allowed us to have cool air conditioning.
The crew of Jason, Chance and Harvey were a team that knew how to work efficiently together. They had 39 or so years experience in the HVAC field between them. They were customer centric, polite, professional and very personable. They were replacing a 38 year old furnace that was tied into 38 year old duct work, with a 2015 gas efficient furnace and heat pump by American Standard. They knew how to manufacture, on the spot, the necessary sheet metal to fit the new unit to the original duct work.
The work they did was challenging due to the location of the heat pump and the small garage closet space for the furnace. One rule my wife and I try to adhere to is supply drinks and food to any crew that does work for us. Gang, if you can, some cold tea, and in our case, home smoked pulled pork sandwiches was barely a thank you for the work done. These things are always appreciated. They ate and worked at the same time. No breaks.

I contacted Newman Heating and Air on short notice to fix a broken furnace at my mothers home. I spoke to Calvin who showed up within the hour. He quickly sized up the situation and fixed it on the spot.

I arrived home from work yesterday (Jan. 28) around 5:15 pm , and realized we had no heat. There was three inches of snow on the ground and the outside temperature was 15 degrees. After checking on the things that I could possibly fix, I realized that I needed to call a heating and air specialist. I called the after-hours Roger L Newman Co. phone number, and I was told that the on-call technician would call me shortly. Within 15 minutes the technician (Brad) called me and asked me to explain my problem. He explained the company's charges for an after hours service call, and said he could be at our house within 30 minutes. He arrived within 30 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem. The inducer motor was bad and needed to be replaced. He was able to determine that Roger L Newman Co. had one at the shop that would work on our furnace. He went to the shop in the terrible weather and arrived back at the house within minutes. He installed the new inducer motor, and immediately we had heat! Thank you Roger L Newman Co. and Brad for a job well done.
