I called Nick and within a half hour he returned my call. Came 10 minutes later. My dryer was burning and smoke was coming out of it. Nick took care of everything and was extremely personable. THANK YOU NICK!

We call him to say the washing machine wasn't working. He came out and said that he could not see anything wrong with it. We asked about our water filter. He took a look at it and said that it wasn't filtering properly. He did not charge us at all. He told us about them and left. Worked out well.

Excellent & still running well. A very quick response .

On Saturday morning my mother (who lives in Arlington Hts) called and said "Well the 25 year old oven died" . In 1991 they replaced their then 20 year old wall oven from Tappan. She said where we going to call Sears Home Service and see if someone can come out. I said I'll check Angie's List. Found 3 right away with A ratings and worked in Arlington Hts. All had coupons for Angie's List, called S & S first just to check on availability and $ for my parents. Nick called back within a few minutes and said Yes he could work on a 25 year old Tappan and Yes he goes to Arl. Hts. I told him I would give his info to my parents and they could take if from there. Next call is my Mom-"Nick is coming Monday morning to work on the oven" By the time I got out of work Monday afternoon they had a working oven and now feel they have "A Guy" in case some other appliance has an issue. Nick took the whole thing apart "There must be 200 pcs", replaced the faulty part and put it all back. (I asked--No extras pieces lying around). They said he was very pleasant, was on time, very professional, had the part on his truck and took care of everything. Nice to have "A Guy"!

Nick was A+ He returned my phone call in less than an hour and was at my home the same day. Because he had the part in his truck I had my fridge back within a couple hours.

Nick was amazing!! I called him after a couple of repair shops quoted $200 after trying to describe my problem with the dryer. S & S was my last choice before I was going to price new dryers. I called S & S and he told me to start the dryer and he will be there in 10 minutes. He was and 15 minutes later my dryer was fixed way below the other repair companies quoted price. I did luck out that he was in the vicinity when I called but Nick was so professional and described what he was repairing. I will defintily use S & S in the future.

Nick was able to schedule service more quickly than he'd anticipated. He identified the problem, explained what needed to be done, and made the repair. Took very little time and our machine was running again.

We are SUPER pleased with Nick from S & S Appliance. I sent an email late on a Sunday evening and received a call early Monday morning. Nick called ahead and was there when he said he would be. We were thinking we would need a new compressor or a brand new refrigerator, but Nick was able to replace a part and tested the compressor which was fine. Very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. Have already recommended him to my friends! Thanks so much Nick!

We were all ready to invest in a new freezer that stopped working which we keep in our garage. As a last minute thought we said, let's give Nick a call.. Nick from S and S Appliance is someone who we have used in the past to repair other appliances. We've known Nick to be very knowledgeable and honest. We definitely would trust his opinion on whether an appliance is able to be repaired or needed to be replaced. Nick said that he felt that it was the small computer panel on the front of the freezer that had shorted out. He orderd the part and we had it in one day. We highly recommend Nick who always does a great job.

I called in the morning of the same day of the service requesting a service call. I left a voicemail and Nick returned the call within about 1/2 hour and was able to schedule the appointment for the same afternoon. He called about 30 minutes prior to let me know he was on his way. He arrived right on time. He cleared the clog in the drain and made sure that the water drained properly into the catch evaporator below the fridge. The repair took about 1/2 hour. Nick was very courteous and helpful. I was pleased that he could come over the same day compared to others that would have me wait a few days to schedule an appointment!!! His trip charge was less than many other repair companies as well. I would definitely use him again.

I called about an issue with my GE refrigerator and Nick came out the next day and diagnosed in a couple minutes and had the issue fixed within the hour. Nick was prompt, professional, and I'm happy to have my fridge working properly once again. My only problem is that I didn't call sooner. He mentioned that the proposed heater fix from GE, an extra part I could have installed would cost $150 plus installation, hadn't solved the problem for other folks and suggested simply letting the fridge air out and dry out. I had read similar things online from other GE fridge owners so I appreciated he didn't try to upsell me on an expensive fix that wouldn't really work. He was patient and took the time to explain what he was doing and what was wrong. I also now know enough about what was wrong that if this were to refreeze I'll actually be able to fix it myself.

Nick knew the problem as soon as he opened the lid if the washer. He was very knowledgeable and he also cleaned up my fabric softener dispenser and replaced the agitator. All in all, he works fast. he's prompt and knows exactly what he's doing....He's pleasant and friendly and his prices are very reasonable. This is the second time he has fixed my appliances and I will definitely use him again if I need to....thank you Nick !

We ended up not using Nick because he does not service the brand of refrigerator we have (Samsung.) When I first spoke on the phone with Nick, he walked me through trouble shooting the filter issue. What Nick said ended up fixing the problem with the filter, so he didn't need to make a service call. I really appreciated that he gave me the chance to work the problem out without paying for a call. I would definitely use him in the future if the situation comes up.

I will definitely call Nick again (but I hope I wont have to). He was professional and very helpful. He didn't do unnecessary repairs just to inflate the bill. He called ahead a time to let me know he was on the way. I am very pleased with all Nick's work.

As usual, Nick did a great job. My dryer is working much more efficiently now which should lower my electricity bills. Nick is always very professional, prompt, and explains the repairs/procedures he makes.

Fantastic service! I called S&S Appliance Service at approximately 9:30 a.m. on a Monday and left a message that I had a broken dishwasher. Nick called me back in less than an hour and said he could stop by the same day. He called me when he was on his way and arrived at my house by 12:30 p.m. He quickly identified the problem with my dishwasher and made the necessary repair. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. He was very professional and a very nice guy. The total cost was $140, which I found very acceptable given how quickly he was able to respond to my problem - same morning service! I would definitely use Nick again in the future for any appliance servicing needs I might have.
