I am not sure about the was money paid or were services performed question. Yes, I paid money but no services were not performed. After get a free quote, it turns out they would pull up my carpet, fix the sub-floor, roll my carpet back out and then I had to call someone else to tack the carpets back in place after stretching them. I decided it was not worth the time and trouble to have to coordinate 2 contractors to get one thing done. I asked for a refund from Angie's List and was promptly refunded!

Guys were fast and very knowledgeable about what I needed. They got right to work and did a great job. All were very nice and professional. I definitely would hire again. They had no problem using the lumber I had on hand. I will add pics later.

Installed door without putting up new j channel. They had to remove door facing and install j channel and replace. Caulked only 3 sides of door. Installed deadbolt backwards so it would not lock. Storm door still will not lock. Had the send someone else to repair the work done. because they had to remove door because they did not put up j channel, they run over on time and I was charged 125.00 extra for their screw up. I ordered 6 hours of MASTER CARPENTRTY and I got two guys that took 9 hours to install to install the doors. A MASTER CARPENTER SHOULD BE A MASTER CARPENTER. NOT WHAT I GOT.

My husband emptied the laundry nook, removed all necessary drywall, and removed the header of the laundry nook so the workers could get a head start... all that took him 2 hours. G and B sent two teenagers out to perform the initial work. They set up sheeting, then stood around, waiting for their supervisor for about an hour. They then only took out 1 wood post and tore a hole in the ceiling. They left our house after a total of 3 hours (only having done 1 hour of work each) saying that they needed more supplies to finish the work. Their supervisor sent us an invoice for the extra money they wanted for the rest of the work to be done. They said they did 10 HOURS OF WORK that day! Ridiculous! My husband did more in 2 hours for the renovation than the G and B "workers" did in the 10 hours they claimed they worked. To use up the rest of the hours that we paid for, G and B sent out 2 different personnel and they were much more professional. They installed the structural beam in the ceiling and knew what they were doing. They did a good job of installing the beam. Overall, our experience with G and B was mediocre. We will probably not use them again.

Everything we have asked them to do has always been done with excellent workmanship and in a timely manner! We both work busy schedules and Casey went above and beyond to work with our time schedules! Awesome job- every time!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! For 10 years, I have had a super sticky back door. Like I had to hold it with 2 hands and really pull to get it to open. Now, my doors seal perfectly and are all easy to open! I almost fell over the first time I opened it after they came out because I was so used to using extreme force. I can't remember the master carpenter's name, but he's amazing! - I called him the "Door Whisperer"!!! I tried to have all materials here, but he needed to go to Home Depot and got everything that he likes to use. And it was incredible the difference. He also cut out the small sections of rotted wood and replace them. Everything looks bloody brilliant. I've used G and B for enclosing a toilet area and building shelves, and now fixing up all the doors. What a difference. Beyond happy with G and B!

I was concerned that that they wouldn't complete the job in the time allocated and I would incur additional cost. When I called the company they authorized the workers to finish the job (extra 30min) to my satisfaction. Now that's customer service.

Overall, the service was great. The staff was friendly and professional. It took a while for them to get the work scheduled because of a busy schedule. Work was then postponed due to being behind on schedule. However, they were upfront about the delays and let me know well in advance. The work they did was quality (no more leaks) and the price was decent. The only negative part of the experience regards payment. I was sleeping while they performed the work (since I work nights and the only available timeslot was in the morning), so when they finished, they simply left without asking for payment at the time, which was understandable. However, what wasn't understandable is that they were then unwilling to accept any form of payment except for a credit card over the phone (no invoice, e-check, check, etc.). While I didn't mind paying by credit card, I did find their 5% credit card fee to be exorbitant. Having run a small business before, I know that, at most, credit card processing fees run around 3%, so even if a fee was justified (which it was not, given that I had no other options for payment), 5% is way too high. This amounts to an unfair hidden fee. If I use this provider again, I'll be sure to specifically request that they not leave before accepting a no-fee payment and refuse any other hidden processing fees if they don't.

They arrived on time and went straight to work. I have used this company on several occasions and have never been disappointed. As Arturo would say...Happy Happy...?
