Very Expensive.

One of the trunks on a tree that had bowed and looked as if it would come down. Upon calling, Tom set an appointment to come and look. He gave me two options with prices, to remove the trunk or to have a person trim the upper portion to allow the trunk to partially spring back and see if it would continue to straighten. I chose the latter option. I asked that I be notified the night before so that I could secure the dogs while the work was to be done. I was called one night and the work was done, all within a couple of weeks of the estimate and earlier than promised. We were pleased with the result. We did get a phone call a couple of days later to ask if we were pleased with the work.

Tom spent a good amount of time explaining that there was no major problem and how to take minor action to correct disturbance, he was friendly and obviously very knowledgeable.

We are scheduled for them to come out and do the work.

This is a quality, very professional company that knows what it is doing. They are high priced, but we wanted the job done right since our and our neighbor's houses were involved. They broke the estimate down tree by tree so we could pick all or any part of what we wanted done. We have another dying tree that they gave an estimate on that is not close to the house, and the person giving the estimate said we could probably get another company to do it for less than they would charge, so we didn't have them take down that tree. They coordinated having the power lines dropped with their work, came when they said they would, brought the equipment needed, and finished when they said they would. They did the work without our supervision while we were at work. It didn't seem to us that the volume of two of the trees had been reduced by 25% as they had said they would do, so we called them back and they came back and took out more limbs. No problems.

I received a free estimate prior to any work being performed. David (the arborist) arrived as scheduled, and went over various options and recommendations with me. We agreed on the work that would be performed, and he provided an estimate that day. The work was performed approximately 2 weeks after the initial review and it also went very well. 3 workers arrived as scheduled, and completed all of the work in approximately 6 hours. All waste was sent through a chipper, and all areas that they worked in were raked and cleaned - once they were done, there was no debris left on the ground. A couple of days after the work was completed, David (the one who provided the estimate) arrived to review the work that was done. He wanted to make sure all of the work was to my expectation - when I stated that it was, he then gave me the invoice. If there were any issues, they would have been resolved prior to delivery of the invoice. I will use Cortese again next year for more pruning.

We contacted Cortese Tree Service for an estimate. A gentleman came out as promised to provide us with an estimate. The work was scheduled the following week and was completed as promised. We were charged exactly what we were told the cost would be and the crew was courteous and prompt in performing their duties. We have found that it is difficult to find competent and conscientious contractors in this city and we were overwhelmed by this company's wonderful service.

So far our poor Maples are surviving---after years of neglect by previous owners---many of our neighbors trees have died, so we are happy.

He quoted us $750 to have the maple tree cut down and have the stump and two other stumps ground down (the previous owners had trees cut down, but left the stumps). However, when the men came to do the work, they didn't grind out the stumps, but they didn't charge us for it. We later found out (from a friend) that grinding out the stump was unnecessary in a wooded lot and would have been a waste of money, so the workers saved us from ourselves, and saved us $250, which we appreciated. I appreciated the fact that the company is Eco-friendly (i.e. it would have been easy for the estimate man to recommend cutting down the pine tree, even though it was still mostly healthy). The employees that we met were very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that I emailed them but didn't hear back and that it took my husband calling to actually get an appointment made; granted, I don't know if they actually got the email because I sent it on a weekend.

Cortese staff came to our house, examined the situation, gave advice on which branches should be removed to eliminate current and future hazards, and provided a written estimate. We accepted the estimate, and a couple of weeks later their crew came and trimmed the branches while we were at work. When we came home, the branches were gone and there was almost no other evidence that the crew had been there (they had cleaned up everything).

The guys were very courteous and friendly to work with. They only took a few hours to remove and top the trees. They cleaned up everything and hauled it all away, when they were done. I couldn t recall what they charged me for the service.

They did a good job and I was impressed with the dedication they showed getting the job done. They used professionalism cutting the trees down so that the trees did not hit anything on my property. They used extra care not to tear up my lawn while working and they cleaned up all of the debris before leaving the job. I was comfortable with them out on my property and it only took two days for them to complete the job.
