Scott’s Plumbing Company Inc

This is the second time we have needed this company's service in the past two months. Both were unrelated issues. Ben, the technician, responded to both and was very professional and explained in detail the options and potential impacts of addressing our needs. He was very careful to protect the surroundings. We were very satisfied with his work and will contact this company agian if the need arises.il

We were able to contact him even though it was after hours.  He is a good plumber.  He comes when he says he is going to come, does what he says he is going to do and tells us if there is something it is not expected and what it is going to cost.   He is a good contractor, and we would recommend him.

We needed several jobs done at a rental we own. Bob was prompt and was wonderful to work with.  He was very cordial, quick, very professional and clearly knew his trade.  We would definitely use him again.

In fact, I think I got them from Angie’s List. I think I paid about a $100.

Showed up on time. Inspected light. Fixed it in about 2 minutes. WOW!

I have only used them once and they were very good and were very accommodating.  I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I was appraised of fees up front. Arrived on time. The plumber was extremely polite and respectful of my home. He fixed the leaky valve within minutes, determined the type of kitchen faucet I wanted, and inspected the water heater. He had to make a short parts run and quickly installed the parts. I appreciated the fact that the plumber was someone that I comfortable with and enjoyed having in my home.

The price was fair and reasonable for what they did. They were great and very professional. He was very efficient and was done ion an hour. The toilet works better than it ever has. They were courteous.

We had used Scott's Pluming previously, and they had provided good service for smaller jobs. Scott came out twice to measure the line and both times he said they'd do it in a week or so. But but never did. I called every few weeks to see what the delay was. This went on for seven months (the water line was not leaking, but it had previously)! I finally gave up and called United. They fixed it the day they said they would, which was only one week later. I don't know what is up with Scott's. They seem fine with small jobs but perhaps are unable to deal with bigger ones. I would not care if they didn't do all kinds of jobs, but saying you will and then never doing it is just unprofessional. Scott's estimate was $2,000. United did it for $1,200.

Perfectly, came quickly and replaced part quickly.

Local company in our neighborhood.  Have been very happy with their work.

Had a leak in the upstairs toilet area (determined b/c of ring on kitchen ceiling below). Plumber determined it was a problem with the wax seals which he replaced. Had to wait to reset toilet until tiling job was done. Returned to set toilet and checked everything out. all seemed well until ceiling in kitchen started leaking again (we had not put the drywall back up in kitchen). Called plumber back and they were very quick to respond and surprised the problem had not been fixed. they came out immediately to check on problem and determined there was still a problem with the wax seal and rings. Replaced again and problem was fixed.

All went as planned. Good worker.

I was very pleased with Scott's from beginning to end. The lady in the office I talked to was very pleasant. She gave me their hourly and trip rates and said that they didn't guarantee any arrival time the rest of the day other than the first one at 8 am but that the guys would call when they were on the way. I called on Wednesday and she said they could come Friday so I agreed. I expected to get a call sometime late in the day however was I surprised when they called around 9:30 am  and said they would be at the house in 45 min. They called about 20 min later and said they were running late but gave me a new ETA. They arrived arrived right on time....I was impressed.
T & P valve on my 1 yr old water heater in garage kept activating and discharging water. They quickly diagnosed the cause as a faulty house pressure relief valve that needed to be replaced. Normal water psi should be 60 lbs - mine was 100. My PRV  is located in the far corner of my very low crawl (hands & knees and in some spots stomach)  space  from the outside entrance and is very difficult to get to - having to crawl over and under drain pipes and heating ducts. It  really is in a nasty place and requires a great amount of gymnastics to navigate. The plumber & his helper were amazing. They preassembled a new valve on some pipe in he back of their truck before even venturing into the black hole. After they had it replaced I also had them installed an expansion tank on the water heater so that I am doubly covered and should never have to worry about it again. The guys did a great professional job. While their rate may seem a tad high to some, I have been the low cost  route  before and believe me you get what you pay for and Scott's Plumbing will be my first choice for any future plumbing work that I may have to have done. 
The only negative I have is that it says on Angies list they take Discover Card butthe lady in the office said they don't anymore. She was going to have it removed..       

They came and gave estimate.  Once I agreed to the work they came when scheduled and performed the work.  The workers were professional and courteous.  I had a problem with the job because a leak developed in the house.  I called them and they came and fixed the problem promptly.  I received a second bill and wrote them a letter complaining about having to pay more than the originally agreed upon contract because the problem was related to the original job.  They called me back and agreed with me.  I was happily surprised that they took a reasonable position and waived the second bill.  I felt it was a commitment to honestly and integrity.  Finding honest business people in the construction trades can be a challenge and I would use this company again.

From start to finish, working with Scott's Plumbing was a pleasure. I called them in the morning and they came the next day in the morning. They were punctual to almost the minute of when they said they'd be there. And this was including the fact that they had to order, pickup, and deliver the replacement water heater to my house before the plumber arrived to do the work.

The plumber drained the old water heater, which was a job in itself because it hadn't been drained of sediment ever, so was difficult to do. She got that done, cut it out, and had the area cleaned up and ready for the new water heater. She installed a water cutoff on the incoming water supply line, which I really appreciated. She installed the new water heater, tested everything out, and was on her way in under three hours. She was careful about not dirtying up the house, cleaned the install area, and the area outside.

All in all, one of the most pleasant and trouble free plumbing experiences I have had. It's easy to see why Scott's Plumbing gets such high marks from their customers. I have no reservations recommending them to you. I will certainly use them again.

They were great.  It was an emergency situation.  They said they were completely booked until the next day.  Two hours later when I came home the guy was up to his waist in mud in our lawn.  They had gone out of their way to send somebody out.  They actually pulled somebody off of the floor and out of the office and sent him over.  They were really wonderful.  We just got our bill this week.  I guess somebody in their office was out of town.  It took over a month for us to get our bill, but I don't think that's usual.

The reason I joined Angie's List was from a very bad experience with a nationally franchised plumbing company, dealing with the very same problem I had recently.  The other company only gave me the option of replacing the pump while Scott's Plumbing first tried to see if it could be repaired.  Turns out that it could be repaired with parts, one of which which was damaged from the previous company.  I paid approx. one seventh the price with Scott's.  BTW, that other company has a very, very poor rating from it's customers.  Had I only joined Angie's List before.

As far as the job done...first off, they were out at my house in less than 45 minutes.  The service man was very professional, neat and friendly.  He did the job quickly and i couldn't tell he had ever been there after he finished.

Another thing that impressed me was visiting their offices to pay my bill.  Everyone there was very friendly and professional.  The facilities were very clean and organized.  I actually had the good fortune of meeting Mr. Scott during that visit.  You can tell by a person's personality and appearance what type of business he runs, and it was very clear he expects excellence from all of his workers, and would guess by the workers' demeanors that he treats them well, also.

I would highly recommend this company.

My mother who lives with me was there, when a representative from Scott's Plumbing Company Inc. came.  She could not understand anything he said and she asked him to call me.  When I spoke to him, it sounded as if he was not sure, with what is to be done.  I then shopped around and decided to go with another company.  The gentleman who came was polite and was about to take an entire day with 2 people to do the job.  Whereas, the other company I hired, it was going to be one person on job, at a lesser cost and will finish it alone in a day’s time.  I had a coupon and they accepted it for a service call, which I appreciated.  I will contact them for a quote in future.
