Mencer's Tree Service

I called for an estimate. I was told Miles Mencer, the owner, could come by the next afternoon some time after 3. Mr. Mencer came by abound 4:30 and gave me a handshake estimate of 575 for all the work. Very nice guy. The crew of 6 or 7 arrived the next morning and went straight to work. They were very efficient and finished all the work in about an hour and a half. They were nice guys. They did a great clean up.

I wasn?t home when they did this and when I did get home I couldn?t even tell they had been there. It was just immaculate. I had at least 3 ? 4 estimates and they were by far the best price. I would absolutely hire them again.

Called to get a cost estimate of removing two trees. Left my name and phone number with 'receptionist' who said she would have someone call me back. Waited about 4 days and never heard from anyone. Called again and 'receptionist' acted like she never heard of me but said she would have someone call me back- two weeks later and still haven't received a call- went ahead and had job done by someone else.

His quote was very high; much higher than what I actually got the job done. He didn?t turn up to do the job. I am not pleased with him anymore and I wont use him anymore.

They were excellent. We got several estimates and they were by far the cheapest and most professional. They gave us a free estimate and came out to take out the trees within a few weeks. They had all the work done in less than 2 hours, cleaned up the debris afterward, and hauled the wood away (although they said we could keep it if we wanted it). They are the best tree service I have ever worked with and I have recommended them to many of my neighbors.

This is an update to a review I had previously provided for Mencer's Tree Service. During October 2008, I had given them an "F" as I could not get them to return a call after phoning 5 times. However, on 2/11/09, we had a tree fall in our side yard, so I decided to once again give Mencer's a call. They returned the call immediately and the owner of the company (Miles Mencer) arrived at our house on 2/14/09 to review the work needed. We agreed on a price, they arrived on Sunday 2/15 and completed all work in less than 2 hours with a team of 10 workers. Work was completed exactly as stated and they did a remarkable job of cleaning up after the work was completed. I don't know why I had the difficulty previously in getting a call returned, but after seeing the work they performed, I will certainly use them again in the future.

Outstanding.About a month ago I got and estimate from another tree service.The estimate they gave me was laughable.They quote $4000.00 for the Elm and $2000.00 for the Pine.They explained thats how much it would cost to do it the way it should be done and that the trees were very large and that it would cost them a lot of money to haul everything away.I have had the Elm tree trimmed in the past and Never paid anything close to what they were quoting me.I called Mencer for a 2nd quote.Fortunately they were working in my neighborhood so they were able to look at my trees and quote a price.Mencer looked and my trees and told me they were very healthy and that all that was need was for the tree to be raised and some of the lower branches close to my roof be removed.The price he quoted me was $275.00 including cleanup.I will never call another tree company other than Mencer.They were honest with me and didn't do any unneccary work.

Showed up on time with large crew. Job done in 1.5 hours. Good clean-up. Price was very attractive vs. alternatives.

The were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied.

When I finally was able to get Mr. Mencer to call me, and that is the only complaint I have, he said he would be over after they stopped for lunch. Well, he was here within 40 minutes with his crew and went right to work. Please read above, I'm pretty tired of typing. To end this story, Mencers Tree Service was here maybe 1 hour and 5 minutes, and when they left there was not one stray limb, dead flower, torn up grass, piles of sawdust, or broken house parts. They cleaned everything. The only thing different was that the big old tree was gone. He has to be the best at what he does, or at least I think so. It was pretty impressive to watch.

It hasn't 'gone' at all! Nothing's been done.

Very well, and very fast.

Getting the estimate was quick (just a couple of days) and they came in much cheaper than a couple of other companies in the area but they are so busy it took a few weeks to finally get the job scheduled and done. They arrived on time the morning of the job, had a very large crew and lots of equipment to get the job done quickly. They removed all seven trees, cut the trunks down as low as possible, disposed of all the wood and cleaned up the area within two and half hours. Most efficient tree removal I've ever seen. He even cut down two limbs hanging over my fence at no extra cost. My neighbor was so impressed he got a business card to use them for future work. I just wished they did stump removal because I'm sure they'd do an excellent job!

They did an excellent job removing the trees! They worked very efficiently and cleaned everything up really well. We are very pleased with their work. From three estimates we had been given, their's was the lowest with a difference of more than $500 compared to the highest.

Work was done very well, efficient and professional crew, good clean-up.

Bad weather was predicted for the following day; when I got home that afternoon, the work had been done before the predicted weather hit. I was very glad and the work was just what I asked for. The price is reasonable compared to other services.

Mencer's Tree Service came very highly recommended to us by a friend. Their price was very reasonable and they did a fantastic job on the trees. They didn't grind the stumps, but they did clean up really well. We had some stump guys take care of the rest. They worked very efficiently and got both trees done in about 3 hours flat.

This huge limb had broken off during a storm and Mencers sent several guys to lop it off, which took about a half an hour. They were slow to come out and didn't completely clean up all the sawdust.

The tree guys were very professional and they did real good work. Their crew was friendly and polite and I would highly recommend them. They do everybody's yard around here and they are a very reputable company. They are highly recommended by different people. They cleaned up the mess and everything looked very nice.
