I chose to go with them, because of their reputation.  We were very impressed with the quality of their products and their customer service.  I would not use them again.  It took just way too long to get the work done, roughly 14 to 16 months since we started.  They had a number of problems with their corporate office.

We have used Champion Windows on two different occasions, and were more than pleased. They replaced all of our windows several years ago and the service was great.  There is a life long guarantee that even transfers to the new owner if I ever sale.  They replaced a screen for free even when I told them I had accidentally hit it with the power washer.  Most recently they replaced windows, siding, shutters, and the front door due to hail damage.  Once again, completely satisfied.  At one point I was upset because I thought they had delivered the wrong color door, and I started crying (I had just lost my husband and four weeks later my mother and was somewhat fragile.)  They called their supervisor and he came out to speak with me and offered to change out the door, even though it was indeed the exact door I had ordered.  Thank goodness I said no, because the door is beautiful and I get compliments all the time.  I would highly recommend them.

Their product was really good but their customer service was not. I wanted them windows done in 2010 in December which they told me could not be a problem, they did not get around to doing it until January. They were not really friendly or helpful when I called.

I like everything about their service. They did a great job, were on time, and they did exactly what they said they were going to do.
The product is exactly what they said and it's guaranteed for life.
We have had no problems whatsoever.

This job was done in 2007.  I had used Champion in 2003 to replace some downstairs windows.  The crew did a very good job and I was satisfied with the 2003 work.  The follow up on a cracked window was good as well.  I hired them again for this second job after getting competitive bids.  My neighbor across the street had them do some work between my first and second jobs and was very unhappy with them, but I went with my prior experience.  I was very disappointed.  The neighbor had problems because Champion used a subcontractor for the installation and the crew was simply not very good.  I specifically told the Champion estimator that I wanted only a Champion crew to do the installation (which is what I thought I had the for the first job).  He led me to believe that would be the case.  While I can't say he lied directly about this, he failed to tell lme that Champion did not have any crews of its own -  all work was subbed out.  I told him I wanted a good quality, experienced crew.  He assured me that would happen.  What I got was some dingbat they hired three weeks prior to my job who did a terrible job with the interior window trim (he was "fired" a few weeks later).  The window work itself was okay.  However, he had to take off and then put back the casing around the windows.  His crew chipped the casing and then filled in the problems with SILICONE caulk.  Any home improvement person knows you cannot paint over silicone.  I was left with a mess.  I called Champion and after two or three visits by their own staff, they determined the only solution was to replace all my trim.  It had to be custom milled and they paid for it.   Of course, that left me the job of painting it all.  I complained bitterly and they offered to pay me for my time in fixing the problem.  My time is vastly more costly than their time and I charged them accordingly and they paid me.  In the end, things were close to "fair" from a financial viewpoint, but the hassles I went through were inexcusable.  I would never use them again.

One of the windows fogged up after two years.  The good news is that Champion has a lifetime warranty.  I called and they sent a guy out to get the information about the sash.  This is on a little label on its side.  The cost for the service call - $60.00.  The service - read the label.  That is ridiculous.  The office could have told me to look up the label info and give it to them over the phone.  The guy brought the new sash out and installed it later.  I think they would have charged me again if they thought they could get away with it, but they did not.  Next window failure, I will take the sash into their office and pick up the replacement from them and save the service charges.  In all fairness, the warranty does say there can be a service charge even though the replacement sash itself is free.  What bugged me about this, is that I had a cracked window from the first job in 2003 and they fixed that three times with no charges whatsoever.  The business changed hands after the installation in 2007 and the sash replacement two years later.  The new owners are apparently not so customer oriented as the original ones.

This is a real BUYER BEWARE company.  You could have a good experience and you could have a really bad one.  My suggestion -  pay more and go with a reliable firm.  And, for what it is worth, in the window business some smaller firms offer great warranties and then go bankrupt when the claims come in and reappear under a new name.  The warranty is only as good as the size and financial stability and honesty of the owners.

After noticing small holes in the siding on one side of the house as a result of a hail storm, I called Champion because they had installed the siding originally. Jeff came out right away and guided me through the process, but said it would be about 2 months before they could replace it as they were still backed up from the high volume of homes damaged by the storms. He also helped me order new shudders as they were visibly faded, but those were to be shipped directly from the supplier to my home. It was actually only about 5 weeks before we came home from work one day to find the work nearly complete. The crew did an excellent job, but noone had called to let us know they were coming and the shutters had not yet arrived. When the shutters did arrive two days later, I called Jeff, who said he would pass on the message. It's now been about 6 weeks and several phone calls and I still don't have any shutters, hence the grade in responsiveness. I still think they did an excellent job on the siding, I've just found (in the past also) that it takes a long time to get small repairs done.

The room came out beautiful but the work ethic was not up to par.  They would be here one day and not show up the next.  Sometimes when they were here they would only be on the job for a couple hours.  They were so unreliable and would never call to let us when they would be here.  They originally told us it would take two weeks max but it took over two months to complete the job.  We even had called people before we had the job done for references and they came highly recommended.

I am not real happy with them right now. I have had hail damage and it is frustrating since it is a long time between calls from them. I am not sure that I will go through them again even though they say they have a warranty. I called them after the hail damage and they told me that it was an Act of God and that they don't cover it. I called them later on some other thing and a young lady told me that they do cover hail damage. I found the original paperwork and it says that they do not cover Acts of God. I had seen on the computer that hail damage was covered under warranty and I had been unable to find the original paperwork at that time. I had got into a deep discussion with them on that and had told them that they should be more specific on what is covered and what is not. I am sure that they are not real happy with me but I am not happy with them either. I would not recommend them to anybody else.

We had a sunroom built by Champion several years ago and we liked the result, so we went to them for our window replacement project.  The existing windows were aluminum frame windows that were installed when the home was built in 1988.  We got a quote in the fall of 2010, hoping to get the windows installed prior to year-end.  They did the install in mid-December, in time to get the tax credit that was available for this type of improvement.  We are pleased with the windows and plan to have them install a door in the near future.

I like their quality.  Their sales people came out and explain that if you pay a little more you get a warranty.  They kind of oversell the warranty but I'm not against that.  I got pricing from them on other windows, but I went with some one else.  For the picture window they did I was pleased with the pricing and extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality.  Another company wanted a lot more for the same window.   We've used them for a couple of windows before so we were familiar with their product, service and warranty.  Each time I felt like I got a fair price, excellent quality and the warranty was good.  They use their own installers and they are excellent.  They do follow up.  A couple of windows they put in had to be repaired from storm damage and they were very prompt and attentive to that.   They did a good job with the picture window.

When he came out the man said I had two or three roofs on the house, but I am the only person that has lived in this house and I know there has only been one roof.  He charged me for two in the estimate.  He called a couple of times and I told him that I was still getting estimates, and when I told him that I was hiring someone else he got very rude.  I didn’t sign a contract or anything, but he mentioned that he could go get his lawyer.  I was surprised that he was that upset.

Like I said, they did not make their appointment and did not call.  I sat at home waiting for them.  No Show, No Call.  They sent me a form letter stating that they are the only ones that fix their product, so I needed to call and make an appointment so that they could check my roof damage.  I called again and left a message.  No one called me back.  I called again and left a message and no one called me back.  I have called a roofing company to take a look at it now, because Champion does not care enough to keep appointments or return phone calls.  I can also say that in the past I have asked them for siding and window estimates and they are very, very pushy and very, very high in their prices.  I do not think that their materials are worth the price that they quote.

They are excellent. They are a little more expensive than others, but their quality is great because they custom-make the windows to fit the openings. Their service people put on booties when they are inside. They get in and out very quickly. Their work is guaranteed, and I am very pleased with them. I have signed contracts with them to replace all of the siding, front door and fascia. I am having them do stone work in the front of the house; basically, I am redoing everything that the storm damaged. In about seven to nine weeks, they will have the entire outside of the house done. They are a quality company. I know in advance that I am going to pay a little more for their quality products. I pay more to get more. For example, their siding is insulated; normal siding that I can get from many companies is not insulated. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

The windows came in earlier than we expected so we had them installed early. Even though we had to wait for the door because of the pet door, they did not charge us until everything was installed. The work was quickly and professionally done. The pet door has two flaps since the door glass has two panes. We had used Champion 14 years ago for the front windows and those windows are still in great shape. We could have done this cheaper but we believe in the company and their products. Plus they are part of the TVA Energy Right program so we will be getting $650 back.

They are excellent. In 2005, they added a sunroom onto the house I was living in, and in 2008, they put in new windows in the house that I am currently residing in. I have used them a lot and have had no problems with them at all. I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Very smoothly. They were very neat. They were prompt and worked quickly but not sloppily. They had us check and approve periodically through the projects. They cleaned up after themselves.

I have used Champion Windows Siding & Patio Room to installs windows in every house that I have been in. They were expensive but, I have had the guarantee of dealing with the same sales person for many years now. The quality was good. They gave warranty for their work. I never had any problems and I did not have to call them back. The products were great.

I obtained quotes from multiple window firms. Champion was the most high pressure and pricing was significantly higher for similar quality. My conclusion was that they rely on their high marketing costs and somewhat pushy sales tactics to run their business. Quality seemed fine, but without actually having them install, hard to tell. I doubt I will ever go to them again for a quote. Just did not feel comfortable with their approach.

The product seemed to be very good and I was very pleased with it, but they used independent contractors which we didn?t count on. We were told that it would take about a week and it took over a month for them to do it because the contractors used to come for few hours and leave each day. Once I complained, they used to show the next day for a couple of hours and they used to disappear again. So I wrote and asked them to give my money back. They then sent another crew out here and finished the job. I would tell others not to use them.

There was an independent contractor who installed the windows. The salesman part was good and professional, but the other part was not. They were not neat, clean and professional. They had to come back and do repairs because they killed my bushes and broke a couple of window sills. They didn?t tell me and I had to handle it on my own. I would tell others not to use them. The installation what they were supposed to do was not what I was told and they have never been back to fix it. So the windows seemed fine, but the workmanship of the installation was very poor. I am not very satisfied and would not recommend them. I wouldn?t use them again.
