This shop got it right the first time. I had taken this vehicle to another shop (The Sound Factory) in Knoxville the previous month and after four attempts on four different days I instructed the previous shop to uninstall the Remote Start/Kwyless Entry System they had installed. These fellas at American Radio know their stuff. The only kicker to the day is the install was supposed to take approximately 2 and 1/2 hours but the install took 6-hours. But in defense of American Radio, not all entirely their fault. As it turned out this particular vehicle has a factory alarm system whereby after a 40-minute period the car's electronic brain goes to sleep (much like a computer when not used for a while). After the initial install the Remote Start would not wake up the car's electronic brain when activated. The technician (Bruce) who worked on the vehicle found the problem but then we had to wait for two more of the 40-minute cycles to make sure the newly installed Remote Start/Keyless Entry System would active all functions on demand. The guys at American Radio were great and the Remote Start/Keyless Entry System is working great. A special thanks to the Store Manager, Curtis Crowe, who kept me advised of the situation throughout the day. At one point, Mr. Crowe even offered to loan me his personal car rather than wait in the lounge area. How can you beat that?
