Indian Ridge Animal Hospital

I called with a vet emergency. I woke up and saw my dog was unable to breathe, she could not stand, she could not walk, she was swollen. I put on shoes and put her in my van, and started driving her to the closest vet. I called this clinic en route, with my dog struggling to breathe, gasping. I stated clearly it was an emergency, my dog was unable to breathe, she was in respiratory distress and she was dying and they were the closest vet. I was told to take my dog to another clinic, Andes-Straley. They told me they already had 2 emergencies and could not see another. My dog was dying, unable to stand, unable to breathe, my son was screaming and crying, I told them there was no time, she was DYING and we were almost there, and they put me on hold, came back on, stated to go to a different clinic. I was in shock. The put me on hold a total of 5 times. Almost to their office, I turned around to go to a different clinic AFTER THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT SEE US. When I asked for the vet name so I could post this, I got the office manager. She would not give me the vet's name. The office manager, after I stated my intent to publicize the situation and their refusal to help, told me I had misunderstood them. The office manager would still not give me the vet name. Now my dog now has quit breathing, she's having seizures, death spasms, my son is screaming in the car, I'm on my way to a different clinic, and they put me on hold again. I was on the phone for more than 10 minutes, most of it on hold. The vet finally got on, after 10 minutes, and I only needed to know the name, Dr. Bunch. My dog died while I was frantically driving to another vet clinic after being refused an emergency visit with Indian Ridge. My son screaming. I was on hold, trying to find out WHO WOULD AUTHORIZE THIS. The most appalling, inhumane treatment I could ever imagine. Still not over my shock with how this office refused an emergency visit, then when I said I was going to go public, they hurried to convince me I misunderstood. Indian Ridge, even if you would not have been able to save my dog, I've never experienced this level of no- compassion and no-professionalism. Honestly???? I thought you vets were supposed to take an oath to help. If that is true, perhaps you need to inform everyone else in your office. Devon Morgan

waited...and waited...didn't have a phone so couldn't tell the time but when we were fed up waiting we left the room and 50 minutes had elapsed. This is beyond incompetence. When we left the clinic at least one person said sorry...another said "oh, I didn't know anyone was in there".

My dogs are better now. It turned out they just have an allergy. It was an allergic reaction. When everything started blooming, it suddenly got disgusting. My interaction with the vet and office staff is very good normally. There are four vets in the office. I see Dr. Jane. Everybody calls her Dr. Jane. I’m a little reluctant to say anything because it was not a very good experience with them, which is unusual but normally, I wait half an hour. The waiting area is crowded.

The staff at Indian Ridge were prompt and professional. Every effort was made to keep my pet as comfortable as possible, and the service was so fast that we were able to get the treatment done quickly. I will definitely continue going to Indian Ridge.

I do like Indian Ridge Animal Hospital. She's not happy about having her claws down so we have to cut them once a month. For the manicure, they didn't charge me. I've used them for 30 years. They have just been wonderful. They really care about my animals.

They are very reasonable. All the veterinarians are excellent.

Great! Did not have an appointment but was seen quickly. Vet answered questions about future vaccinations and neutering. Very good!

My dog tore her ACL and Dr. Bill performed surgury at a reasonable price and kept following up for about 6 months afterwards. There were no additional charges except for medications as needed. My dog has fully recovered and I can't say enough about his compassion and interest in us as individuals.

Doctors have been amazing here- I do weim rescue and these vets are fantastic- they take care of all of my personal dogs and cared for my elderly cats as well- when it was time to put the cats down they were so incredibly kind and sympathetic it made the entire experience easier. The wait can be a bit long but this is the sort of vets office that I can call and ask a question and the vet actually takes the time to call me back, knows me by name, and knows my dogs by name. My personal favorite is Buddy Stribling but EVERY single vet I have met there is incredible- top notch! The surgeon did a mass removal on my 12 year old female weim that was VERY intense and very difficult and you can BARELY even see the scar- there were absolutely NO problems with it. The wait is a long one but the price is fair, the office is clean and well organized, the staff is friendly and the care is hands down the best in Tennesee- if you want honest, serious, quality care for your pets then Indian Ridge is the place to go!

Took my Schipperke after he had been attacked by two large dogs. He needed surgery and spent the night. The love and care everyone at Indian Ridge shows animals is heartwarming. No wonder they are the areas favorite vets!
I have been taking my animals (mostly dogs) and my rehabilitation wildlife to Indian Ridge Animal Hospital for many years now. They love, love, love all animals. They were so helpful with the wildlife we had to take to them. Bill even provided surgery. Many things they did at cost or no cost, just to help the wildlife. I can't praise them enough.

She is very good. All of the doctors in the practice are very good.

The veterinarians and staff at Indian Ridge are very knowledgeable, honest, and fair. I appreciate their services so much that I have no qualms about driving 21 miles for their services.

We have been going there for three years and the doctor we use Dr. Jane Vaughn she is wonderful. She really cares about the dogs and she is really through. She provides excellent service. Their prices are very reasonable. Our dogs interact wonderfully with Dr. Vaughn. We have one dog that would not get along with any veterinarian, but he gets along with her great.

I've seen three different doctors.

Drs Jane and Bill Vaughn are amazing care givers. They understand how much our pets mean to us and they brought be great encouragement and comfort during my Lab's final years. When he was hospitalized, Dr Bill called me everyday, sometimes 2x/day, with updates on my dog's progress. Dr Jane was so very supportive during my dog's senior years; walking me through the journey of his final few months and days. When it came time to put him at rest, I asked that Dr Jane be the one to do so. She helped me through that very difficult time; a week later, I received a note from her offering her condolences and stating that my other dog and I had been in her thoughts. IRAH is always very busy, but that's because so many people go to them to receive great care for their pets, so it is worth the extra minutes in the waiting room.

I called the vet hospital and was told to come in. I was new to the area so I was very happy they would see me without appointment. It took only 5 minutes for a tech to bring my ferret to the back to be seen by a vet. I was brought to a room in about 10 minutes. Dr. Bunch who goes by Mike came to the room and gave me different options and his medical opinion, he was great. Dr. Bunch kept me updated everday. Staff is also very friendly when I called and came by. Dr. Bunch and their staff gave great care they are about the animals they are not about the money. Unfortunately Aspen the Ferret passed away because she was old and frail. Dr. Bunch was kind and compassionate when he called. He even arranged for her cremation for me. They took care of everything and were a lot cheaper than most vets. I believe they genuinely care about the animals they take care of. I will use their services again and highly recommend them.
