In this example of garbage work, I was told my brakes were the cause of a squealing sound & my struts the cause of the grinding noise. All were replaced. The noises came back after a week. I took it somewhere else & they said I had something stuck in the wheel well. No more noise. Also, they did not charge me for this observation because they said "anyone who put your car up on a lift should have seen that immediately. We don't charge people for not doing anything." Did I mention that I was promised same day turnaround but it ended up taking 3 days?

We were told the battery was bad. They offered us a cheap price on a battery they assured us would work fine. Starting issues returned. Eventually discovered the battery was under 350 cca (appropriate for a riding lawn mower). We've spent months trying figure out why it wouldn't start on its own. Replaced the battery cables, bought new jumper cables too. All it needed was a new battery WITH ENOUGH POWER FOR THE CAR. This business has scammed several people I know for unnecessary service, under serving their needs, or just failing to spot the issue. I failed to mention in my last review of them that they initially claimed I needed breaks in the back TO ALLEVIATE A GRINDING NOISE IN THE FRONT, DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL WELL

Repairs went well and were completed fast and on time. The price of the labor was a fair price, however, the mark up on the replacement part was outrageous. The part was purchased via a nationwide parts vendor locally and was marked up 450%. I am lucky to have warranty insurance that covers the cost of my repair after a small deductible is met.

This is the second repair at this shop and I still think they do great work. The previous manager is no longer with them, but the new manager seems to be just as enthusiastic.

Overall, I still like going to Mr. Transmission for the repairs and will continue to go until I have to pay for the entire repair out of my pocket. At that time, I will go the route of the frugal man and buy the parts and pay to have them installed to avoid the auto repair mark ups.

The repair process and repairs went very well! Brad at Mr. Transmission felt like an old friend. From the first time I met him, I wanted to bring my vehicle to them for repair. It was initially taken to a local GM dealer and the response they gave me was as if the repair was hopeless. Brad at Mr. Transmission made be feel so much at ease and he kept me informed during every stage of the repair.

My warranty insurance covered the costs of the repair, but Mr. Transmission was very professional about the transaction and was a great liaison for me with my warranty insurance company.

One thing I noticed was the order and cleanliness of the shop area. I would not have been afraid to eat something I had dropped on the floor in the bays. I will definitely recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone who needs the job done professionally.

Now, less than a month later the transmission is having issues again and I am going to have to go back. Supposedly it is covered by warranty but we'll see. On the up side, they were always friendly and very professional. It is possible the mechanical issue I am having is a fluke and there was a legitimate reason why the price was higher. But I asked for a worst case scenario estimate and didn't expect to have to pay $300 on top of that. So, giving the benefit of the doubt I will grade them a B overall but I gave lower scores for punctuality and price.

All the outside work and powertrain work is done, leaving only the interior to be finished... This type of work is clearly not within the scope and ambition of Mr. Transmission. but I know that if I asked them to, they would make a good job of that too!

So far it seems to be working fine with no issues other than a check engine light that came on related to transmission. It may be due to service or unrelated to the work performed.

I had purchased a used car at a "buy here/pay here" establishment and within 36 hours of owning the car it started hesitating when shifting and there was a puddle of red fluid in my driveway. When I took it back to them, they said I would have to have the transmission replaced and that they could "help" me with that repair to the cost of $3500. I went to a couple of other repair shops, all telling me the same thing but with different prices. When I went to Mr. Transmission they inspected my vehicle and found a hose that has come loose, fixed it and only charged me the diagnostic fee and the fluid they added for $74.70. My shifting issues were due to low fluid, not my tranmission. I cannot describe how thankful I am for their services. Tim (I think he is the owner) showed and explained to me what had happened and how had I not taken care of this issues as promptly as I had, that it would have turned into a serious problem. He definitely put my mind to ease.

The business has changed management and service totally. I had experience with the old in 2008. Very unhappy with service. Now everthing has changed. All problems resolved and with extras to make sure I was satified. A 200% change.
