I had a slow leak in a front tire that had gradually increased over time to a moderate leak. I went to Firestone to get that leak assessed and repaired. I checked in and waited 3 1/2 hours thinking that they were fixing it or getting around to it, at least. Then they call me up front to tell me that the tire is too worn to repair the leak and the only solution is new tires. I really did not have the money for this but decided to just buy two tires for now. ($480 because I bought good tires). Normally when you buy new tires, the NEW tires go on the back and the tires that were formerly on the back of the car are moved to the front since they are in better condition in most cases (as was with mine). But they actually just took off the back tires and replaced them, leaving me with the damaged tire in the front which was the whole reason I came in. I did not see that this was what had happened as it was dark, late, and I headed home. The next morning I woke up the that same flat tire. I went back to Firestone and explained the issues. They apologized and said that they have already gotten rid of my old tires so they wouldn't be able to put my better tires back on the front to fix the error. I would have expected that they would have done something to make this right without costing me any money. I told them I had already spent any money I had to spend on the other two tires. They spoke to a manager, and literally the only offer I was given was a Friends and Family Discount on the purchase of two MORE new tires. I felt so defeated from the ordeal that I eventually caved in and bought two new tires but I wish I had not. I trusted them to fix my problem and ended up spending money I didn't have just to fix their mistake.
