The Company specializes in repair and maintenance of all makes and models of HVAC systems, both residential and commercial. We also offer sales and installation of residential HVAC systems. In addition to carrying a State HVAC Mechanical license and State Electrician license, the Company's owner is licensed by the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County as a master gas fitter and master electrician. We are dedicated to responding to customers in a timely manner and providing honest, reliable quality service. AC quit. Referred to Larry's by neighbor's plumber. Had received a quote from another company for $9300 AC replacement following their inspection. Other company's tech said there was leak and freon could not be replaced anymore. No longer available. Within an hour, Larry's sent Jerome who did a very thorough inspection, was here well over an hour, put in 1.5lb freon, replaced another part...I can't recall what...and AC blows cold again. He said it looked like system had frozen probably from low freon level, and there possibly is a leak somewhere, maybe only microleak that would require recharging every year or so. He advised that we monitor and call if necessary to investigate further. He advised that we nurse this one as long as possible because new units are not made like the old ones... thinner metal, less quality control, and all the usual things associated with modern appliances. Cost was $250+/- for inspection, part, labor and freon. Will definitely call again when needed.

Received a referral from a friend for this company since we were having AC problems - unit wouldn’t cool, etc. Called yesterday (June 27) and left a message about the service we needed done. They called back last night and Joey was here to check it out this morning (June 28th). He took his time, did a full inspection and found a refrigerant leak. He fixed the leak then went through every other possible cause for our problem and addressed it. His description on the invoice stated “found leak on the indoor coil. Fixed wash coil + check Freon. System is working great.” We had been told by another company that we would have to buy a unit but his service had our house cool in no time. We were very pleased and impressed by his thoroughness and professionalism. We will happily use their services again and will be sure to recommend to all our friends with HVAC needs. We really appreciated Joey. He represented his company very well.

I called Larry's Heating & Air to get a second opinion on replacing my heat pump and A/C system. This was the smartest call I ever made. I had been told by the very prominent company I called first (I won't mention names but it rhymes with Still Goin' and you've probably seen plenty of their expensive TV ads and trucks) that I likely needed a whole new system and that they couldn't even tell whether or how much coolant was needed. I was ready to pay something like 10K for a new system but figured I needed to at least get another opinion first. What the technician from Larry's found was that my coolant was just extremely low, and he made a very accurate estimate of how much it would take to charge the system. Since the 2nd opinion service call was free, that coolant charge was my only expense. During his inspection he also found a loosened valve that could not have been loosened by anyone other than that famous company I'd called first. I'm not making any accusation other than they were either dishonest or completely incompetent when it comes to diagnosing what turned out to be a very simple problem: the system was just low on coolant and needed recharging. The technician from Larry's was honest enough to tell me the truth and gain my customer loyalty as a result. I will never call any other HVAC company when I need service or maintenance again. Larry's is the first and only call anyone should make.

I scheduled maintenance for our system two weeks in advance for an 8a.m. to 10a.m. window on my day off. I called and left a msg at 9:50a.m. with no response. They called at noon apologizing that there was an "a/c emergency" they had to attend to (it is spring and still cool mornings, so not sure how that works). Anyway, they offered to reschedule but I will not be doing that again on my next day off.

"Again we apologize for the delay in your service appointment. Sometimes in the service industry there are unforeseen circumstances that throw our schedule off base. Your appointment time was set between 8-10AM. You called at 9:34 leaving a message to check status. Being a Monday, our phone system was very busy that day and we didn't catch the call right away. We spoke at 10:34 and discussed the delay and you were informed that a technician could be there before Noon. The technician finished the emergency call and was dispatched to you at 11:44AM at which time you said you were unavailable. We attempted again after 3PM to contact you and you did not wish to have the service done. Surely if you had an emergency situation you could appreciate that the service company wouldn't make you wait so they could do a maintenance on a system that was operational. Again we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced by our delaying your service appointment. We wish you the best. Sincerely, Larry's Heating and Air Conditioning"

I've got an older unit, so parts were not readily available. Larry's located the part, which was pricey and would take some time to arrive. They also offered to improvise a fix with an non-OEM part and some creativity, for less money. I went with the cheaper, faster option. The repair worked, and has held up for about three months, now.

Bob came out and inspected our older heat exchanger unit. I called this company because another company had told me I had issues and I wanted a second opinion. Bob spent over an hour looking over the system and testing it and found no issues. I was told by the previous company I need to replace an expensive part that would cost about $1,100.
I'm glad I called Larry's Heating and AC as a second opinion. When I need work done on my units in the future I will be calling this company. He didn't even charge me for the service for all the time he spent looking it over.

Bob called and said he was in the area. He stopped over and spoke with my husband. He looked at the thermostat, looked at the unit through the window. He explained that it just might have been frozen water that formed and then dropped off. He was here no longer than 15 minutes. He handed my husband his card and said, "Call me in the future if you need something." He did not present my husband with a bill. To our surprise, we received a $60 bill in the mail yesterday. Not cool. I do not think we will be calling Bob again. He was very pleasant, however. We feel paying for something is not unreasonable but $60 for a conversation when no work was done. Hmmmm?

Being rather new to this area I did not know of any good HVAC repair companies. When my air conditioner quit working this week, I turned to Angie's list and found Larry's Heating and Air and their impressive reviews. I'm so glad I did! David was prompt, extremely nice and a very hard worker. He's the kind of employee you want to represent your business.
I can't say enough to show my appreciation. I was shocked that with all the work he did that my bill was so reasonable. Many HVAC companies would have charged much more.
I'm so glad I now have a HVAC repairman on my Iist for my future needs that I can TRUST! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a good HVAC company to try Larry's Heating and Air FIRST. Please, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money with anyone else. You will not be disappointed!

We have a service contract with another local company and they told us our unit was shot and could get us a new one for about 6K. When we questioned they said they could order a new motor but might take upwards of a week and at least $850. We were in middle
Of ice /snow weather. Called Larrys for a Second opinion and they came out on Sunday morning before 12. They replaced motor, capacitor and added Freon to AC unit and it was only $470 tax included! Fast. Professional and honest. What more could you ask for? I will be be signing on with Larrys once my maintenance contract is up without a doubt. Highly recommend.

When almost all other repair companies dismissed my desire to fix the two inside motors in my large air conditioning/heating system, Larry's examined the problem and replaced one of the motors, saying the second one needed only a small adjustment, at a reasonable cost of about $300. They were prompt and professional.
A few months later, the two large external motors, which were very old, went out. The repairman looked at the motors and found replacement motors. The cost was about $500. The entire system has worked very well since that time.
Other companies wanted to replace the entire system at a cost of $20,000 plus. Larry's Heating and Air works with you to solve problems rather than trying to force you to take the most expensive course.
