Keefe Plumbing & Heating Company Inc

Our house was built in the 1940's and had the original cast iron and some of the original fixtures. We contract to have them completely remodel the downstairs bathroom. The layout of the original bathroom was awkwardly designed and it did not allow for aging in place. We met with the estimator and the plumbers to design a bathroom that will allow us to stay in this home as we age. They completely gutted the bathroom and replaced all the cast iron pipes and old copper water lines. They installed and completed the drywall and mud process, painted the walls, installed new cabinets, fixtures, accessories and artwork. They also installed a new bathroom door and the hardware. We loved what they did with this bathroom so much that we contracted with them to remodel the upstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom is much smaller and had the original cast iron tub and fixtures including the commode, as well as cast iron drain pipes and old copper lines. They came in and gutted this bathroom and installed a tub that is big enough for my 6'2" teens to soak in when they want to take a bath. They completed the drywall and mud process, painted the walls, installed new fixtures, cabinets, accessories and artwork. They also installed a new bathroom door and hardware and a new window treatment. During the demolition of the two bathrooms, the plumbers took steps to keep the debris and dust out of the rest of the house. They hung plastic, lined the hardwood floors with protective paper, carried off their trash and swept up everyday before leaving. When we began to remodel our kitchen, we could only think of one contractor that we would want to use for the plumbing and installation of the new fixtures. While the walls were open, they came and replaced all the cast iron pipes and drains and installed a new dishwasher drain. Once the cabinets had been installed, they came back and installed the new kitchen faucet, an ice-maker line and the dishwasher. They were always on time and kept to the timeline agreed upon at the beginning of each job. We would recommend them to others and will definitely call them for all our future plumbing needs.

Nice pleasant and friendly plumber arrived within 2 hours of me calling. Fixed me right up.

Keefe responded within hours of our basement being flooded with sewage. The crew put a camera in our sewer line and found the line collapsed. We had an estimate to replace the line the next day and a crew was onsite that next day too. Our house is on a very steep hill and the distance to the road is long. It was not an easy project. All crews that were at our house were helpful, friendly, and respectful of our time and property. We are very satisfied.

I had a Toilet in my Foryer bathroom that had been stopped up for some time, which then started to cause my kitchen sink to stop up. I had contacted my home warranty company and they sent out another company who wanted to bust up my concrete and repipe it. I decided to call Keefe Plumbing and pay for it myself. We had just refinished our hard wood floors 2 weeks prior. When the men came in they immediately put down blankets off of their truck under their Sewer Equipment so they wouldnt mess up my floors. The men were very professional and informational. They explained everything in detail and answered any questions we had. The price was great with fast friendly service.

My experience with Keefe Plumbing was excellent. I called with my commode problem and the nice, clean plumber came to my house in my time of need. I am an elderly widow and appreciate the safe, freiendly service. The price for the job was very reasonible and I appreciated the senior discount. I certainly will use Keefe again refer them to all my friends.

I had a leak in my walk in tile shower. Keefe quickly gave me an estimate to repair the leak in the shower pan and to install new tile which coordinated nicely with my old tile. My shower looks better than it did before. The entire job took less time than I expected, and the price was less than I thought it would be. The crews were polite, quick, and very neat and clean. I couldn't be happier!!!

Dustin was professional, curteous and most importantly, on time! When Dustin was running late, the office called 15 minutes prior to his scheduled appointment to inform me he would be late.

We purchased a home and the prior owners had a leaking toilet fixed as part of the sale agreement, and used Keefe plumbing. The toilet wasn't leaking the day of the final walkthrough but the next day when we took possession it was leaking again. I called and the woman who answered the phone was very polite and said that the leak would be fixed as it was prior work they completed. I then received a call a few days later saying that the $10 gasket was in but the repair would not be covered as we were not the original customer. I asked for the manager to call me so we could discuss it. Winford, the manager, called me back and said it wouldn't be covered since we didn't pay the first time around. I explained to him that their "repair" didn't even last a week. He said that the plumber had lubricated the handle to fix the leak, which was never the cause of the leak. I also told him that we had a bunch of repairs we were going to have them do on our old home we are selling. Still, he refused to warranty their work. So, congratulations Winford. You just lost yourself over a $1,000 in repairs at our old home, got a bad review online, and have a lifelong non-customer. I hope it was worth the $10 gasket.

It took almost 2 hours to unstop a sink at $150.00 / hour x 2 guys (VERY EXPENSIVE)

Simply very professional and knowledgeable about the job. came on time. did the job cleaned up .Left no trace inside the house of even being there . Gave valuable advice about future problems that could occur and how to avoid them.

All I remember was that it didn't seem to be a well oil machine. It didn't come across as having it together. They didn't send a bill for like a month or two. it was a quite a but of money for what they did.

I contacted Keefe Plumbing for a tub/shower replacement job on rental property. I was able to convince the estimator to meet me at 4:15 even though he thought that it was too late and that would make him get off work late. I asked the estimator to give me a cost break down on removing the old tub, labor to install the new tub and costs for the new tub and faucet. I received a quote via email. When I tried to respond to the senders email, it came back undeliverable. So then I had to call, which is difficult for me to do during their working hours from my work...when I spoke to the woman who had sent the quote and explained that I wanted a break down on the quote, she said the adjuster said that the quotewas a detailed as I was going to get (frustration growing at this point). I decided to have my worker remove the old tub just in case we ran into any issues with the floor (very old house). I then called the woman who had sent the quote (still can't email her) and asked her to send a new quote because we had removed the old tub. She called me back and said the estimator said it wasn't necessary to send a new quote because the removal of the tub was only a couple hundred of dollars of the quote (huh? don't you need a new quote when the scope of the job changes?). Finally, I called the woman who sent the quote to schedule the work. She wasn't available so I spoke to someone else. I told her I was ready to schedule to job and she told me I had to sign and return the quote. I told her we had removed the old tub. She said I needed a new quote because the scope of the job had changed (DUH!). I asked her to send a new quote and I would sign and mail back so we could schedule the job. I never got the new quote or ever heard back from Keefe Plumbing. I called another plumber and they had an estimator out the next day and the job was done the following week.

The gentleman showed up on time and did the work quickly. Would highly recommend.

Everything went great. They did excellent work. My yard, you can't hardly tell that they dug a water line. I had a lot of digging in my yard before, but you can't hardly even tell when they got done with the backhoe. I even keep leaves on part of it for my landscaping and they even put those back on. They did a great job. The ladies in the office always called before they came out.

I contacted this provider for a bid on a plumbing job I needed for an investment home. It was a complete re-piping job...replacing the existing copper with PEX tubing throughout the home. The estimate came back at $1,958. Once I received 2 other bids, they were all within $300 of each other. When I reviewed the Keefe bid, I asked for the $10% discount to be applied as per the info provided by Angie's List. I initially received push-back so I asked for clarification. Again, they refused to apply the discount which is CLEARLY shown on their Angie's List add. Although I asked repeatedly for clarification, I did not receive it; only multiple indications that the discount doesn't apply to "contract" work. That makes absolutely zero sense, and my confidence in this company has been reduced to nothing. Further, I was told that I s/have told them in advance this was an Angie's List bid when I originally called them (so this wouldn't happen in the future). What this says to me is, "You s/have told us so we could inflate our bid by 10%, then apply the discount (so we don't lose any money)." That's totally non-negotiable to me and an immediate sign of the provider's unwillingness to honor a discount disclosed on Angie's List to Angie's List members. The plumber showed up within 90 minutes of my call. He was professional, courteous, and did a great job for us. Price was reasonable and competitive. Would definitely use them again.

We went to get the proper drains after he left and the serviceman came back early the next morning and installed them, only taking a few minutes. They had a 10% off coupon which was a nice perk. We would hire them again.

Called answering service on Thursday. Called me back within an hour and scheduled me for the next day. I was first up on appointments and went well. They did not have a part they needed and had to return to shop. Repair went well and quick. Also fixed a leaking outside faucet for me. Would highly recommend and would use in the future. Felt I was treated very fairly. Also gave me a discount for using Angie's List.

They were on time. I was first client of the day. They replaced a leaking spigot on the front of the house. Then repaired a stem valve in an outdoor shower. No mess or debris left. They were very friendly. Quick to respond to questions and calls.

The guy spent 1 hr not really knowing what to do because he could not find the smell. At the time he had arrived there was no smell so he did not know what to do about the problem. I had ran water in my tub drain before he got there so I think, well I know now that running water and keeping water in my pea traps keeps the odor at bay. I dont use that shower so the water had dried out of the trap causing the smell. Well I had fixed my own problem not knowing that I had. I was not told of the service charge to come out and look would be $110.00. So when he was leaving he told me what i was being charged so I was shocked that for him to have done nothing that I was charged $110, so he gave me a break and only charged me $75. I was still not happy to have to pay that for having nothing done. You would think for a plumber to have had more knowledge and to have ask me if I use the tub and to have known to tell me that you have to keep water in the pea traps to keep that rotten egg smell from coming in. I didn't know that the water in the pea traps dried out. I had called the company and complained that I was not happy and the lady told me she would check things out and get back to me and she never did. That to me was not good customer service.

After sizing up my problem, which I considered minor, the replacement of a missing knob on my shower faucet handle - I was stunned at the solution and price the plumber proposed. He removed the casing of the shower faucet and declared the space too small for him to work in. He then proposed drilling through the wall from the master bedroom side and replacing the faucet handle that way. His price quote - $650.00! Needless to say, I refused. They charged me $110.00 just for the visit. A couple of weeks later another plumber simply replaced the knob for $80, parts and labor - $30 less than Keefe charged to do no work at all. What a ripoff! I feel I should be refunded the $110 and given an official apology. I will never call Keefe again.

Starting with the initial phone call, the company did a good job. They set up an appointment for the next day, let me know when the plumber would arrive, and informed me they would charge $75/hr. from the time the plumber left the shop until he arrived back to the shop after finishing the job. The plumber left the shop at 8:00 am and arrived at my home at exactly 8:45 am (45 min. travel time). He finished everything, including totaling the bill, by 2:30 pm. I figured another 45 min. for the trip back and came up with 7.25 hours, but I got charged for a full 8 hours. I didn't argue the point - he had done a really good job and I was just happy to have it done. However, I was quite surprised to see an additional $35 service call charge that I had not been made aware of. Also, they charged me $250 for parts, which I thought was quite steep. That being said, I will say the job was done very well. The plumber, David, was very knowledgeable and polite. I am extremely pleased with his work and would definitely use him again when I need a plumber.

Quick response. Found source of shower leakage problem - leaky shower valve and bad tile installer's plumbing work allowing water to get into wall. Very reasonable repair and cost. Will definitely use again when other plumbing issues occur.
