Within 2 months after we received the REPLACEMENT couch, we noticed the cushions started to lose their spring after they became warm from sitting. (We had noticed this on the last couch, but we assumed it was a fluke). Now, 4 months after the replacement couch arrived, the cushions have lost a majority of their cushion. They do not spring back after sitting and after sitting on them for about 15 - 20 minutes, the cushions are almost flat. Again, note this was after just FOUR MONTHS of use. Rooms to Go sent out a tech to look at the cushions and the tech said that while the cushions did need to be replaced, R2G would not do so because it was due to "normal wear and tear." He told us that we should just replace/restuff the cushions with our own money - like you would "customize a car." He said that when you buy a car, you customize it. So, we should think of our sofa like that - we need to "customize" the cushions and get ones that actually hold up. RTG said we could appeal, but that since the tech thought the flat cushions were due to "normal wear" they would not cover the cushions (since it was not technically a "defect.") So, a couch that wears out after 4 months - and has cushions that are so fatigued that the RTG tech states we should replace them is "normal?!" We are very unhappy with the couch and feel stuck with a very poor product. I should note that neither my husband or I are overweight or obese. We are normal people who sit on the couch about once or twice a day. We both work and do not spend much of the day on the couch. There seems to be no reason for the couch to be so fatigued so quickly.
Description of Work: We bought a couch from Rooms to Go in the summer 2011. The couch was a "cindy crawford" design and was supposed to be one of their "top" quality couches. We needed a new couch but also wanted one that was not too expensive since we were having a new baby. We hoped the couch would last for a few years. Three months after the couch was delivered, my husband (a tall, but thin man) sat on the couch and the frame cracked into 2 pieces. He literally crashed onto the floor with our newborn. Rooms to Go wanted to send a tech to "inspect" the damage, but I was able to send photos showing the couch's frame literally in 2 pieces. A week later, they replaced the couch.
