Great service. The tech was genuinely enthusiastic about working on an older power amp, and seemed glad to see someone was still using one. I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

The 32and quot; Visio went out and I was going to throw it away but never got around to it. Then I lost the picture on the Sony. Checked Angie's list and decided to give them a call. Called Saturday morning and talked to Dan. Ended up driving both sets down there that morning. Paid a non refundable diagnostic fee of 75.00 for the pair up front, applied against repairs if needed. Dan called Monday morning with an estimate and I gave him the go ahead to fix--much cheaper than buying 2 new sets. Even though parts needed to be ordered, both were ready the next day. I'm sure I drove by numerous repair centers to go here, about 40 miles away, but it was worth it. Personable, professional, and reasonable. I hope I never need to use his service again, but should the need arise I'll certainly go back. I highly recommend Southern TV service.

I had a 13 month old Sharp 60 inch LED TV that developed a red line on the right side of the screen. Southern diagnosed the problem as a defective screen and provided an estimate for the repair (the estimate exceeded the cost of a new TV). The warranty on the TV was one year so Sharp would not replace the TV. After I made a number of calls to Sharp and they discussed the problem with Ben at Southern Sharp agreed to replace the TV with a remanufactured unit. Ben was very willing to work with me to convince Sharp to replace the TV even though he received on the minimum cost for diagnosis and estimate for repair. I would certainly use them again on any TV related issues.

Took our flat screen HDTV in for problems with the picture. There was a line through the screen which used to go away after the TV had been on for a bit but then it remained no matter how long the TV was on. Took the TV to Southern TV to have them check it out. The shop was crowded with other TVs and not very neat but our contact person was very friendly and knowledgable. There was a fee to have him check out our TV which would then be applied to the repair if we chose to repair it. In a day or so (it wasn't long at all) he contacted us to say the TV could be repaired but that it would be cheaper to buy a new TV. This was as we had guessed so we weren't surprised. He gave us the option to come and pick up our TV or he said he would dispose of it for us. We chose to let him take care of it. We had tried a number of TV repair numbers (there weren't a whole lot that we could find) and we felt most comfortable with Southern TV. I have to say his shop could use a good cleaning and straightening. It looked like there might be quite a few TVs that never get picked up or something. However, the guy was very knowledgable, friendly and professional so don't be put off by the shape his store is in. All in all it was a very good experience. We would most definitely use Southern TV again should we find ourselves in a position of needing another TV assessed and repaired. Definitely. Oh, I'm sorry but since it took so long for me to write this review (which I am also sorry for) that I don't really remember the exact fee for checking out our TV. I believe it was $40 or $50. I am sure, however, that if we had chosen to repair our TV this amount would have been applied to the bill.

They did a very responsive in the troubleshooting and call back on the service options. They provided a honest appraisal of the value of repairing which was very helpful in deciding to repair the TV. The unit was repaired quickly including cleaning the interior of the unit.

Overall, extremely pleased.

I took my 32" Toshiba and my 42" Panasonic in for repair on 7/26/12. The Toshiba had a power supply issue. It was repaired and I picked it up on 8/11/12. The part to repair the Panasonic plasma arrived on Monday 8/13 and Dan fixed my TV and called me for pick-up. This is a wonderful repair service and I would definitely use them again if the need arises.

Excellent service and very fast. I appreciated most that the serviceman was up front with me on the phone and said there are very few TVs that can't be fixed and from my description, this was a fairly common problem and an easy fix and since it was a fairly new TV and a well made one, he'd suggest I bring it in, not discard it. He was right and it saved me a whole lot of money. Very pleasant to do business with. The only negative is that the store is very dirty and loaded with TV's that have not been picked up. Many of them are for sale, so it might be a great place to shop for a replacement. However, I do think they need to take a weekend and move everything out, scrub everything down, including the huge windows and give the interior a fresh coat of paint. The service counter is a mess. I almost hate to say the negative because afterall, they did fix my TV and quickly and reasonably, but I just think clean and fresh, not fancy, is a minimum for a retai/service business. The guys were all polite and clean cut. It is the shop entry/service area that really needs attention.

Stopped in to inquire as to the approximate price to repair my TV. They took the time to fully explain the problem and the repair cost that would be between $75 and $140. We also discussed other types of TV's, pros and cons. I brought my set in for repair and it was promptly done. Great service, highly recommended!!

I called them over the problem over the phone. Dan explained their $25 diagnostic fee, which would be applied to the work if it was ordered. I asked if the problem I described sounded like a lot of money, and Dan said there was a good chance it wouldn't be too much. I took the TV in on Saturday morning Dan said they should have an estimate Monday or Tuesday. I called Tuesday afternoon, and received the estimate and authrized the work. I got a call back later saying it was ready for pick-up. I picked it ujp Wednesday morning, brought it home, and it worked.
