All went well. Jim is an honest business man that provided quality service at a fair price. All products and fixtures used were quality items. 3 bids were taken, all using the same specifications, and Rushmore Plumbing was awarded the contract. Their price was far more reasonable than the others. Fully understanding that Rushmore Plumbing is a reputable business, I understood that they are very busy and scheduling would need to be done efficiently. Although the project did sustain a few delays, Jim made sure that I was well taken care of in a timely fashion. Thank you for your quality workmanship, honesty, and professionalism.

We called the company because we used them before for our water heater - that turned out good but with this new problem on our low water pressure in our bathroom the plumber came tried to fix the problem it turned out that the problem requires more time to fix it - and we were told that he can't come for another week because they are fully booked. He left without cleaning up and putting back the cover to the wall of our shower. No arrangement or re-schedule was done so they could finish the job but the bill came faster for the job that they never fixed and completed. We will never use them again nor recommend to anyone.

During the rough in for the half bath, the plumber did not notify anyone that he had run into a rock underground. We were not aware of the problem until we were ready to move on to the next phase. By then the only option we had was to either delay construction while we blast the rock for the pipes, or move the toilet so that it was in front of the door instead of the vanity. We could not afford delays since we were already behind schedule. Now, instead of looking at a nice vanity down the hall, we are looking at a toilet.
Once the infloor heat pipes were laid, they were not pressure tested to be sure there were no leaks. Rushmore plumbing had stated that it would be alright. The concrete foundation was poured. When the time came to fire up the infloor heat, the master bath had a leak. Another delay. We had no choice but to lay additional infloor heat tubing on top of the cement foundation, and the new shower pan that had been installed, and then repour concrete. This left us with an uneven floor.
No scope of work was presented for the $5,700.00 bid that was originally bid. While we did have a change order in the loft, the rest was as stated on the original plans. When asked about the difference in the pricing, we were told that the master shower was an upcharge, as was the wide spread faucet in the half bath, and a few other items. We provided the fixtures for the new construction and the credit for the fixtures that we did not buy were bottom of the line for contractor build.
Water lines were run at cabinet installation height, which caused the cabinet installer to drill though and puncture the water lines. Rushmore plumbing billed me for the repair.
The in floor heat was to be up and running before the sheet rockers did the taping and texturing. It was delayed about 2 weeks, causing us to have to use propane heaters to try to get the rooms warm enough for the taping and texturing. Since it was January, this caused a moisture problem for the sheet rockers and the painters. Equipment backorders for the infloor heat was not an issue, all the equipment had arrived and was at Rushmore Plumbing long before it was needed.
After the install of the faucets, a couple of them leaked. They had preferred Delta faucets, that is what was installed and that is what was leaking underneath.
Original bid on the contract specification sheet was $5,700.00. Rushmore Plumbing stated that it was incorrect. The bid should have been $7,500.00 for the plumbing rough in and install of all fixtures, and fixture allowance. We had a $500.00 change order to one of the bathrooms. The total paid was $9100.00. $2100.00 in upcharges that were items on the original print.
The infloor heat bid was for $24,500.00. That is what we paid for that system.

Called Jim (owner) and explained my situation. He asked his head plumber to make a special trip after dinner to help me out. Larry arrived on time and did a great job!
