Description of Work: I hired Cut-N-Edge repair/seal numerous cracks in my concrete driveway, replace a small section of concrete at the end of the drive that couldn't be salvaged, and provide a 4,600 sq. ft. spray overlay over the entire drive when repairs were completed which would hide the crack repairs. I wasn't sure the driveway was a candidate for repair or would need complete replacement but the owner said he could restore it such that 90% of the cracks shouldn't come back. He did warn a couple might. The work was promised to be done 11/15-11/23/11. After several excuses, he didn't start until 12/10/11, and after several phone calls and more excuses, was not completed until 1/19/12! The entire job was sloppy, unprofessional, and my landscaped yard was treated as if it was a construction site. Piles of cement dust were left for me to clean up, residue from mixing product left splattered over the brick on the house, as well as on the lawn and shrubs. The spray overlay and sealer was very spotty over the entire drive and the stamped cobblestone pattern at the end of the drive where new concrete was poured came out uneven as the helper he sent to do the stamping did not show up until dark and only had his truck headlights to see what he was doing. He obviously couldn't and if it wasn't the cobblestone stamping, I'd have made them tear it all up again. The owner blamed this one on too wet a pour, which he himself had mixed. By early May 2012 (only 3.5 months after work completion), at least 75% of the "repaired" cracks had returned. I called Cut-N-Edge in late May and requested he come look at the situation. He said he would come before month's end but never showed up until 6/15/12, at which time he told me the solution would be to grind out the returned cracks again and fill them this time with a self-leveling caulk. He started working immediately but after an hour tells me he brought the wrong caulk. He said they would return first thing the following week with the proper caulk to fill the cracks. We return from vacation 7/5 (3 weeks later) to find the cracks still unfilled! Several calls and messages left to Cut-N-Edge over the next 3 days went unanswered and un-returned. I finally bought several tubes of caulk and filled the cracks myself. I subsequently filed complaints with the BBB and Concrete Network (an on-line professional web site where he advertised). The owner did call me back at the end of July and was actually angry with me for filing the complaints and felt I should have been more patient with him! Now, almost a year after completion and having gone through all 4 seasons, 99.9% of the original cracks have returned and I have spent another couple hundred dollars on a grinder and caulk. The cracks I caulked have not reopened, but they also show the cover-up overlay by Cut-N-Edge was a waste of money. Per the BBB and Concrete Network, Cut-N-Edge never responded to either of them regarding my complaint. He now has an F rating with the BBB and the Network has dropped his ad. In July 2012 I also checked with the SC Dept. of Labor, Licensing, and & Regulation and was told that their records show no license to do residential work in the state in the name of Cut-N-Edge or the owner of the business. Next step for me is Summary Court. Don't waste your money l like I did. Go elsewhere.

First of all I believe that you get what you pay for. Having said that I also believe that a professional contractor should act accordingly. After not showing up at scheduled time for the estimate and stating, " I just forgot about you" i should have let it go. I rescheduled for a later day. At the estimate he seemed professional and even offered to remove my deck " If I gave him the job". Work started a few days later. After the concrete truck destroyed my Sod lawn, the concrete driver proceded to clean the concrete shoot on the grass. I am still trying to dig it up so I can replant the sod. I thought that the contractor would clean up the concrete but I was wrong. It took him almost 3 weeks to do a job that he stated would take only a few days. The rock did not come in was the main excuse. When they did work it was for only 2 or three hours at a time. Later in job they did stay longer. Well he finished the job. The patio is not level and has 2 standing pools of water after a shower or washing. He did cut holes in the wall for water to drain to but I have yet to see water come out of those holes. The concrete wall cap has stains on it that I cannot remove. And I asked him to replace the column caps after he cut the holes too large for wiring need for the lights. He did replace them with no questions asked. He requested an additional 400.00 dollars for extra materials that he did not account for when he did the original estimate. The job he did is "OK". He told my wife that everything cannot be "perfect" but I feel that a more experienced contractor would have done a much better job. Go somewhere else.
Description of Work: They poured a stamped concrete patio that was infused with color. The contractor had to grade the yard to level and pour the concrete. After pouring they stamped the concrete with random rock pattern. I had a rock wall built with columns for lights
