PARKS FURNITURE ANTIQUES LTD

Purchased a secretary desk and put it on lay away. Prior to purchasing checked the piece out thoroughly and it was in great condition. Prior to making my last payment looked at the item again and it looked fine. Asked Parks to deliver due to husband having bad back and the cost for delivery was $20.00. When the delivery guy and or owner arrived he indicated he normally has two delivery guys but the other called in sick. He also said that the desk was extremely heavy, but chose to deliver anyway.

An hour or so after he left I started dusting the desk and a piece of the front panel fell off and also noticed some damage surrounding it. I immediately called them with my concerns. They called me the next day and said that I bought the item as is and there's nothing he could do for me. I told him I didn't see this damage upon purchasing it, so it had to have occurred during delivery which he denied. He then indicated that I was the one who damaged the desk by dusting it. He also included that they don't dust anything there. He did provide numbers I could call to get repairs done at my expense.
