Very well. All work was performed perfectly except for the back porch doors. They could not be fixed without further damage. We would need to purchase steel doors to replace them. We know this is correct because the person who I stalled the doors also struggled to fix the sag.

It did not go. They would not even quote me unless I paid 50.00. So basically they could over charge me and I would feel compelled to pay it to get my 50.00 back.

I like that they come when they say they're going to come which is very unusual in Charleston. You know their prices ahead of time because it's an hourly rate.

Where to begin. I was on the phone setting up the service for about 45 minutes the day before. I was never once to take a photo or asked specifics about any of the jobs scheduled.

The tech calls me 30 min before arrival (which was not as scheduled but was early so I'm good with that) he proceeds to tell me that he has no caulk on his truck and if I would go to Loew's to pick it up. When I told him that was not possible as well, I'm busy at work etc he proceeded to tell me he would go pick it up but I would be charged for his time driving to Loews. Understand these guys charge $168 per HOUR!!!

Well I obviously told him not to come because I'm not even paying the almighty $168 per hour to drive to Lowe's. So I call the office and Robert whom I Brooked the appointment with initially tells me "Sir I don't know who you are we don't have you on the books". After convicing him that I am in fact "On the books" and him finally finding me, he then proceeds to argue with me about the materials and how it's my responsibility to let them know what they need and to make sure it's on there truck.

In short BIG FEES, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Your not that desperate for home repair save yourself and find someonelse.

Surprise!!  I was told that the one hour would be $168 but at the end he added almost $20 more for "parts used" in other words the blade on his saw and the surface of the plane he used for the door.  RIPOFF.
The new refrigerator had been delivered and was sitting in the middle of the kitchen so we didn't have time to look around and had to go with a company like this but I would not again.  The price was ridiculous.

When he put the toilet back, he had only put in a flange support and it continued leaking. I was advised by professionals that I was overcharged for the work that was done.

Mr. Handyman showed up almost on time and did a fine job. Patrick was pleasant and went right to work replacing a wall switch in my master bath. But Mr. Handyman is not a suitable choice for small jobs. Although it only took about 15 minutes to replace the wall switch, the minimum charge was $168. I called Mr. Handyman when I could not find my tools. My sister, who took care of me after my stroke, re-organized my home. As a result, I can?t find anything. The job had to be done, and since I decided it would not be a good idea for me to do it due to lingering tremors in my hands and legs, I called Mr. Handyman to do it quickly, despite the price. Even though this is a positive review, it may be an embarrassment when you see the price charged for replacing a switch which I supplied. They are a competent company compared to most South Carolina contractors but outrageously overpriced for a simple job. The name Mr. Handyman is a misnomer in my opinion. You don?t think of a handyman as a corporation with numerous tradesmen.

Couldn't have been happier with the service. I called Mr. Handyman of Charleston on a very rainy day, when we developed a leak in our sliding glass door. The other handyman services I called had two week waiting lists, but Mr. Handyman was able to come out the next morning. Between the time I made the appointment and the handyman Matt arrived, our mailbox also fell over due to all the rain, so we added that to the fix-it list as well.
Matt was on time and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He completed both fixes in under three hours, and that included him having to go to Lowe's to pick up materials (and to pick up the new mailbox post I ordered online). I couldn't be happier with the work or the service, and I will use Mr. Handyman again for all our home repair needs.
One thing to note. While Mr. Handyman's prices are higher than many competitors, it was worth it for me to pay for prompt and professional service. Plus, the company guarantees their work for a year, so if we have any future trouble with these items, we have a means of recourse. I'd use them again or recommend them to anyone for these reasons.

Very impressed with Rob from Mr. Handyman. He was both prompt and professional. I had every confidence that he knew what he was doing. He took the tine to go under the crawlspace to evaluate the floor where another contractor had recommended jacking up the tub.
I will definately use Mr. Handyman again for my future home repair/remodel needs.

I called on a Friday morning and they came out that same morning. The technician was Matt who arrived before me and called me directly ; I was late a couple minutes and he was ready to work. He was very professional and worked extremely fast. He was able to give me an estimated time that he thought it'd take for him to cover everything, and made sure to finish within that time frame. He also gave me the exact quote before he started working, which was appreciated -- no surprises.

They were right on time.

I ended up using Handyman Services. I think it is one of those franchises. Overall it was fine. They seemed to be very professional. It cost a little bit more than I would have liked but that is not anything to do with the professionality of the gentleman they sent over. It was for hanging pictures, so it wasn't anything too difficult, so it was fine. It was just hanging pictures so the qualiy was 'A'. They were very responcive. The price is a big factor for me and I thought it was a lot of money to hang some pictures and I thought that it took them a little bit longer than necessary.

They were great. The are extremely fast workers and got the work done quickly.

The handyman showed up on time, was courteous, respectful, competent, worked hard, and finished in a timely manner. He strapped himself up on the roof at the crest, systematically cleaned all the gutters, then washed the panels, and then cleaned up well.
