I found Mike on Angie's List, and given his excellent ratings, phoned him. He was here within 2 hours (I'd expected the next day -- but he said he'd come between jobs the same day if he could find the time); quickly identified and repaired the problem; and said to call if any further problems. He's a very nice person, well-spoken, intelligent, and honest. I highly recommend him!

Mike was very honest and straight forward and a pleaseure to deal with. I would definitely recommend him to friends and will use him again in the future. He cleaned up after the work was complete such that I could walk in and everything was ready to go.

I called for an estimate. He was very professional from the beginning. Called when they said they would, showed up on time, came in and went straight to work. He even cleaned up after himself! I was very impressed and he will be coming back to install a ceiling fan later in the week!

I tried to troubleshoot, but came up empty. Called Mike at MES, he came out the very next day. Nice guy. Straightshooter. Seemed to take a stepwise approach. He and his son found the issue under our house. They fixed it right away and volia! no more tripping breaker!!! I would recommend them to anyone. Painless. Quality work at a fair price. I was totally satisfied that Mike solved my problem. He was professional and really seemed to be concerned about making my house safe. I am definitely going to have Mike add outlets and correct any other issues that may arise.

It was a very challenging problem, there was no obvious short in the circuit. Mike and his brother spent close to 4 hours trying to track down the problem. They finally found it under the house but they also discovered a snake in the processes. Neither one of them wanted to go under there with a snake and I don't blame them. They were able to reach the "junction" through a vent and fix the problem. All and all I was very happy with their persistence in getting the problem fixed.

Selected MES from reviews in Angie's list. Called and reached Mike Worth on mobile phone. We are on Seabrook Island, which is pretty remote, and electricians are sometimes not responsive on small jobs, and this was after hours. Mike came almost immediately, arriving within about 90 minutes of the call. He completed the work within 45 minutes, performed additional safety checks and tightened all wires in the circuit board. We will adopt him as our new electrician.

Overall it went great! I had actually contacted Mike back in September to begin preparing for the tasks that had to be completed when installation of the new kitchen began. Mike came over on the same day that I called, and I explained everything that needed to be done. He offered some very good advice, and assured me that he could take care of things when the time comes. He told me his rates upfront, which I appreciated. He and I kept in touch with each other over the next several weeks as I updated him on the kitchen remodel schedule. He had a gameplan based on our initial consulation in September, and then when he came over to do the work, it was exactly as promised. I will continue to use Miscellaneous Electrical Services for all of my electrical needs in the future, as well as recommend him to friends and family (I've already passed his card along to another interested party!).

Mr. Woods was professional, neat in appearance, arrived exactly as scheduled and did a magnificent job. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.

Mike did several repairs in two different calls and offered useful advice as well. I'd never use anyone else for electrical work. Price is fair (about $300 each time for multiple tasks); Mike is very responsive and highly competent and caring.

Mike came out within a day or two of my call to see what we needed to have done. He gave me his prices and let me know he would have to bring a helper because of the height and location of our lights. Mike was professional and friendly. After Mike talked to his helper he called me and we scheduled for the next week. Mike called to let me know when they were on their way. The floodlights I bought did not have adequate housings for what we needed so Mike went out and got different housings that were much better, looked nicer, and will last longer. The bathroom fan/light was a tight fit due to the angle of the attic, but they got it in and left no mess. Mike explained everything he was doing and made sure I was happy with the results. We will definitely call him any time we need electrical work done.

We left a voice message in the evening, he called first thing in the morning and was here within an hr.

I selected his name from Angie"s list and gave him a call. He responded immediately and arranged a time to see what needed to be done. He fixed several problems on the first day and gave suggestions for my fixtures. Returned in an hour + he had fixed a ceiling fan, replaced my dinning room fixture and put up my porch lights. I am pleased.

Mike initially said he wouldn't be able to come out until the next day and, since it was not an emergency, that was fine. However, he did come the same day and, after a careful inspection, we found that it was "operator error"--a switch controlling the fountain was inadvertantly turned off.

Great. He was prompt; professional; smart; and honest. He stayed until 7:00 to get it done because he was booked the following days. I recommend him without any reservation whatsoever.

He was punctual, brought all supplies needed, and went straight to work. Very polite and made sure I was satisfied with the job done. I definitely would hire him again. I love angie's list!

Mike Woods answered phone right away and scheduled time to come out and determine what kind of receptacle we needed (the next day, since it wasn't an emergency). Came to appointment on time and was very knowledgeable and courteous. Determined what parts were needed (unusual round brass covered receptacle and metal phone jack/cover). After getting the parts (actual cost of parts $70.00 with no upcharge by Mike), he called back and scheduled an appointment to do the work. He came promptly for the appointment, and completed the work quickly. Everything looks and works great!

Everything was excellent. I liked everything about them. Mike Woods, the owner, came out and did the work himself. He was out here for two hours and corrected a bunch of existing problems. I would highly recommend him to anyone, and plan to coninue using him. It was probably the best spend $150 I have spent in years, and I was extremely happy with him.

The old switch blew out probably because I unknowingly was testing the clock box receptacle which I installed myself by plugging in a lamp which had a non-dimmable light bulb. Mike checked my installation of the clock box, which was fine, and then installed a new dimmer switch which I had already purchased.

He did a very good job. He did arrive on time and the workmanship and quality was great. He was very professional and easy to work with. The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend him to others.

Mike was awesome - right from the start. He called me right back and left a message for where and when to call him and let me know that he would also try me again. He was able to fit me in on the weekend and showed up right on time and got the job down very quickly. His prices are fair and his work is excellent. I highly recommend him.
