So I don't typically write recommendations, but recently we had a major issue with our HVAC system. Since we moved in I have put quite a bit of money into our HVAC system and due to my own ignorance in understanding how these systems work I feel strongly some of this money was misappropriated for unnecessary service recommendations. Now I'll get my bias out of the way: I don't trust contractors and for good reason the more work they do the more money they make so whats in it for them to be honest with you ? Yes they may loose business here and there, but most people will never be any wiser to their shenanigans and for every client lost another one is right around the corner. As someone who has a family to support and doesn't want to live the American dream swimming in debt every penny counts. Unfortunately we can't all be experts in every field and as such we have to put some trust and faith in the people who service our homes, vehicles, even our health. So that being said when someone does come along who is honest, fair, and competent I want to return the favor by ensuring their success by paying it forward: Darrin Barton with Heat Pumps Plus is this guy and in my honest opinion a refreshing rarity in a business that is more often than not swimming in deceit. Darrin was reasonably priced, punctual, professional, and courteous - all hallmarks of what we want when dealing with a business.

Heat Pumps Plus exemplifies the word professionalism. Heat Pumps Plus focus was on resolving my AC issue and not selling me a contract or parts I didn t need as the larger service companies want to do. I Highly recommend Heat Pumps Plus.

I had other companies come out to inspect and they all proposed to immediately replace my heat pump (HP) because it was malfunctioning with only a cursory inspection. Darren from Heat Pumps Plus (HPP) did a thorough inspection of the outside AND upstairs unit twice, before stating that no leaks were found and then fully recharged the system. The proposed charge for an unnecessary HP replacement from the other guys was in the $2K range; HPP service fee and recharge was under $2G. WOW, what a savings between a dishonest salesman/service organization I had considered and the honest, courteous technician Darren of HPP who I hired!! So now, I'm typing this in a cool 77 degree home and not the 90 degree oven it was before. Thanks HPP!!!

My full time home is in Baltimore. Due to the Covid 19 issues there was a problem finding a unit. Darrin kept me appraised and located one in a very timely fashion. I was able to coordinate with him without having to adjust from my original travel plans. I would highly recommend hiring him.
