Several months after my oil change, I discovered a slow leak from the plug, and when I took it to the Murrells Inlet location, where the work was performed, they claimed that my vehicle had been tampered with, however there was absolutely no evidence of this, and the way the employees acted suggested to me that they were lying. No damage was done, but it easily could have been, if I hadn’t seen the leak in time.

Just went in for a oil change and they pressured me into spending 200.00 on things that I could have done without.

I used to work near this facility, and they were always pleasant to deal with and priced fairly. Services done were basic oil changes and tire rotation.

I've taken my car there for a couple years. They are very helpful. They always give good service and their prices aren't very high.

I sent a visiting friend out to have my oil changed. I expected the charge to be under $30, as the DEALER charges $30. Along with changing the oil, they "checked out" the car and supposedly "tested" the battery. They told him the battery was weak, would probably go out suddenly and to be safe, he should put in a new battery. He came home quite proud that he had taken care of my car, making sure I was safe. I was livid. Jiffy Lube has a reputation, I went their years ago and they did unnecessary work that actually cost me money to repair. I put in a new heavy-duty battery approximately eight months ago, so I know the car didn't need a battery. But they not only sold him one, they sold him one for $149.00. I suppose the remainder of the $202.00 was the oil change, which would have made it $20 over dealer cost. I called them today. I spoke to a manager trainee and I told him that while most locals in this tourist area KNOW their reputation for doing unnecessary work, I will make sure that I post it all over the internet because no one deserves to be taken like this. He said he was sorry, that he didn't have any knowledge of the transaction. I look at it as a loss. I know they will not "find" the battery they took out, although it was new enough that it could have been sold. And I really don't want to have my car anywhere near their business again. So there is no fix.

UPDATE: The company contacted me right away and made every effort to make things right. They returned the money spent on the battery and assured me that they were doing all they could to repair the reputation of the shop.
