It went extremely well. The B's are because I saw prices ranging from $2700 to $5500 and Dr. Solomon came down in the middle. As for punctuality, my appointment was at 0930 and I didn't make it past the waiting room until past 10. I wasn't surprised at the wait really, I think there were about 4-6 others there waiting on surgery at the same time. Dr. Hood noted a small scratch on my left eye, so there was some concern that they may have to switch and do PRK on that side. Dr. Solomon came into the exam room to explain the procedure and advise how the situation would dictate the procedure. He wanted to try full LASIK first and if the machine didn't like the left eye due to the scratch, it would notify the Dr and he would make the decision on how to proceed. I was fine with his explanation and had no reservations, but his explanation and patient interaction is what really sold my wife that I'd chosen the right Dr. The procedure overall was extremely fast. Each eye was under each laser for at most 8 seconds, I recall the assistants counting down and usually it was about 4 seconds when I heard them. I think it took them longer to get my preferred Pandora station up than it did to do the procedure, much less to hear a whole song. The whole experience was great. I was warned by all staff and friends/others who had LASIK/PRK before about the possibility of light sensitivity and Halo's. I was again lucky on that front and did not experience either of those concerns. Immediately after the surgery, i was escorted to a recliner to await my ride home and during that time my eyes were flowing like a faucet and felt like they do after opening your eyes in a chlorinated pool. My level of pain never got above that. Upon my return home (total of about 60-90 minutes after surgery), I took 2 benadryl and went to sleep as instructed. When I woke up 6 hours later, I had no pain. After that was a long regimen of eye drops that I can thankfully say I'm nearing the end of. Overall, the process was exceptional, the entire staff at Carolina Eye Care (Clarity Road location) were Phenomenal. As I told the tech, the most painful part was when Dr. Solomon pulled the tape off that was holding my eye lashes back. (Think pulling off a bandaid.

I was very pleased with my experience. The staff was personable and professional. I felt like I understood what was happening throughout the entire experience. Clarissa was especially helpful - she shows true caring about her patients and really wants to ensure they are happy with the end result. It was at her suggestion that I decided to go and quot;monoand quot; with the LASIK. Had it not been for her thoughtful input, I believe I would been unhappy with my new eyesight. The surgery itself was quick and easy. There was not a lot of interaction with Dr Solomon throughout the entire process, which was not an issue for me.

There are no problems getting an appointment with Dr. Kerry D. Solomon. His bedside manner, punctuality, and communication are excellent.

Kerry is just fabulous. I don't think i would see another eye doctor. He is very patient and very thorough. He is very well trained. He was one of the first doctors who actually institutionalized a lot of new Lasik technology. He is a fabulous person. The office is beautiful. The whole staff is very accommodating, nice, thorough, and very professional.

He has quite a few offices. He is extremely professional, and has a great bedside manner. He is not after the money. He will tell you if you need something or not. I went in for LASiK and he told me that it would make a minimal difference in my life, and it probably wasn't worth the money for me to do it. He did discover that I had cataracts, and then performed cataract surgery. He explained absolutely everything. I would use this provider again.
