Construction Specialties of Columbia Inc

Contractor scheduled a time to start work at my house and arranged to pick up a key to the home ahead of time.  The contractor worked each day during normal buisness hours and finished in the preset time period.  There were a few small items that I felt needed additional attention when the contractor stated the work was completed.  The contractor agreed and is completing the items this week.  The contractor and his additional staff have been very kind and professional during the entire process.  They answered my questions and explained to me every aspect of the work they completed.  I had other bids on this job and this contractor offered me the lowest cost. 

Construction Specialties was chosen because they went to considerable lengths to gain an understanding of my vision for the new bathroom.
The project took rather longer than the 3-4 weeks originally estimated but I bear some responsibility for that insofar as some design changes were made "on the fly".
I cannot say enough good things about Construction Specialties. They were flexible and very patient throughout every phase of this project. (This is significant because the nature of the design was such that several changes were necessary during construction).
There were a number of different crafts involved in the project: plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters and tile installation experts. All were outstanding. The tile installers were particularly impressive as was the cabinet maker/installer. (This one is a true craftsman).
The finished project came out pretty much as I had envisioned it (thanks in part to Construction Specialties understnding of my vision). It really is pretty stunning. Everyone who has seen it has been very impressed. While, initially - during the design phase - I had met some resistance from my wife, now -every day - I hear "I just love our bathroom"!
Bottom line: Construction Specialties is highly recommended. They display great professionalism and high integrity. They are flexible and will work with you throughout a project.

They will be here for probably another five weeks or so before work gets completed. We have really enjoyed working with them so far and it has been great.

Everything was great! He was on time, professional and a man of his word. I've already recommended him to others and I would definitely use him again. He also allowed me to do some things myself to help cut costs. I had received a quote from the company who built my house 5 years ago and his price was also double.

Construction Specialties, in both cases, came in and listened to what I wanted to accomplish.  They helped me make decisions and then went to work.  I could always get in touch with them when I needed to.  They were very reasonable in taking draws for the jobs.  It sure is a good feeling to know that I was working with a group that wanted to do a great job and make me happy.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to do anything from a small addition or roof replacement up to and including a complete new home construction.  If you are thinking of using them, feel free to call me with any questions.  Doug @ 803-920-3618.
