Classic Kitchen & Baths

This is the second time I used this company.  The first time two men came and refinished an old clawfoot tub.  This work was done about 3 years ago.  It's difficult to remember now, but I will say the work they did then on the tub looks just as good as the day they did the work.  I gave them a very good report on Angie's List.  Because their work was so good, I again called them to refinish two bathroom sinks and all the countertops in my kitchen.  I thought I would get the same outstanding work as before.  The countertops looked good and I gave them another good report.  I called them to see how to clean off the spatter on my new stainless appliances and was told it would wear off.  Two years later, there are still some spatter marks!  The counter tope began to peel within two weeks and one of the bathroom sinks has lost about a third of the "new" finish.  When the counter tope were done, the smell was so bad I was sick for a week with chest and lung problems.  Richard wore a special respirator to do the job.  It would have been nice if he had told me I needed one also.  We had to call him back and my husband was here this time.The harsh chemical smell gave him problems also.  This did not happen when the tub was done.  Had Richard changed chemicals, I do not know, but this I do know, I will not have this company back in my home nor will I have anyone from the company.  Some of the kitchen cabinets were taped and the tape used caused marks on the cabinets.  When I asked about it, Richard told me I would have to repaint all the kitchen cabinets!  It's been several years now and I do not remember what I paid him to ruin my counter tops and sinks.  He did tell me he received one job from what I had written on my first review on Angie's List.  I only hope that job went as well as the first time I used this company.  We are in the process of having to replace both sinks and all the kitchen counter tops.  My suggestion to anyone wanting to have their sinks and counters redone, is best look elsewhere.  This company's work is substandard to put it mildly.  The date of service is simply an approximate date and not the real date.  I remember we had to open up all the doors and windows to try and get the smell out.  The real date and price I paid are all part of a very sad and disgusting experience I would rather forget.

Before calling Classic Kitchen & Baths, I called 2 other companies.  One is listed with high marks on Angie's List.  I left in detail how I found out about them and left my number twice.  Neither call was returned.
Next I called another company purely do to their website.  I left messages on both phone numbers and neither call was returned.
When I called Classic Kitchen & Baths, I spoke to a live person!  I explained what I needed done and a price was quoted to me over the phone.  Their website is most impressive and I later learned it was done by the same young man that came with his father to do the work.
Upon arrival, they went right to work moving anything they felt needed to be moved, opened windows so the fumes would not be inside the house and allowed me to see their work in progress as they went through the repair steps.
Upon finishing, the two men put things back in place.
I cannot sing their praises enough for their work was excellent and they were very professional.  I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend their services.
