I got home the next day and found that he had left a note stating he had replaced the capacitor, but he needed me to call the office. He had forgotten to get the expiration dates off of my credit card. The next morning from work I called the office and gave them all of my card info again. I thought I was done, but now at almost 7 months later I get a bill in the mail from them. Somehow after giving them my credit card info twice, 7 months ago, they still failed to charge me or even mail me a bill until Feb 5th 2016. I would hate to be a family that lives paycheck to paycheck and get a bill like this out of the blue.
The AC work was very professional, fast and they were my heroes for getting the AC back up for my infant son and my family. I am just dumbfounded at the failure to process my payment in a timely manner. What would they have done if I had given them cash and they lost that? They should be open now, so I am going to call them and TRY to pay this again.
"I understand your concern. in this day and age we live completely off technology. we had a server failure in April 2015. we are just now getting everything back in order. it has taken us that long. we learned a valuable and expensive lesson. after hours and hours of re inputting all information to get current again. we now have a backup plan to the back up plan. thanks for your business and I am sorry it was out of our control"
"I apologize you are not happy, we installed this in 2011. just don't understand why just now getting this review."
Over the last 3 years they have done a comprehensive job of maintaining the unit. Even fixing an issue before it broke which I liked.
Each guy that comes out seems very knowledgeable and polite.
Last month we had a scheduling issue that left a bad taste in my mouth. Made an appointment for 8-10am, took off work to be there and at 10:05am I called to see how much longer. Was told a mistake had happened and I wasn't on the list anymore for that day (computer issues). They could possible have someone out that late afternoon, maybe. Was quite frustrated as I took off work. They were apologetic but should have made it right.
I haven't decided if I will stick with them or get another company to service as I respect the quality work they do, just can't be taking off work to be stood up.
Recommendation is if you have a maintenance appointment with them, call to confirm the day before. I should have.
"I have spoken to all my staff in depth about this situation. whether the part was ordered friday at 4:00 or monday morning at 9:00 am it would not have changed anything. 4:00 on friday it would never had made it through the processing and made it out for shipping. We did not install this system for you, we had no control over the part. when we spoke to your wife on monday we informed her it would be friday and you acknowledge that in this review. at that point if that was unacceptable you should have went on to order the part via amazon and installed yourself per your comments in this review. as far as the cost, i believe we were charging you a fair price for what we were doing. We came out diagnosed problem, ordered part, was returning to reinstall the part. labor, freight, overhead there isnt but a few dollars left for proffit. we cant do the work at cost. i am extremely sorry you are disatisfied, however i believe you wrote this review out of anger that you had no heat but you had already been informed the part was due in friday. there was an ice storm and nothing moved for a couple days, i apologize for that, however this was completely unforeseen and out of our control. thanks"
"Thank you very much for letting us know how we are doing. if we can do anything else for you in the future please let us know. thanks"
"I am extremely sorry that you feel the way you do. we do many conversions, however usually on product we supply, this was all equipment we didn't supply. We feel we remedied the problem the way it should have been. there are times there is a leak but it is usually always caught before completion of the job. when you insisted the job was not yet complete."
"I am very glad that you are satisfied! this is what we are here for! we strive for customer satisfaction. thanks"

Our builder contacted Fogel's who then called and arranged a service call for more than a week later. Although I felt the issue needed to be corrected quickly (our infant son?s bedroom is on the second floor), we weren't considered a priority since we had cooling.
The technicians arrived on schedule and determined we had a defective part (damper). The part wasn't on hand or in stock and was ordered and received a few days later. The technicians returned and replaced the part promptly. After explaining the service provided, they asked if I had questions. I mentioned that the air flow seemed to remain low downstairs but was reassured that it was running normally. However, by the next day, I was able to confirm that the issue with too much cooling upstairs and not enough downstairs remained. I called the next day (a Friday afternoon) to explain that the problem remained and was immediately cut-off by the lady taking the call to tell me it was too late to do anything that day. I explained that I wasn't in a panic, I simply wanted to inform them that the previous repair had not solved the problem. She then scheduled a service call for the following Tuesday.
On the last service visit, the technicians again arrived on time. After working on the system, they told me a few adjustments were made and that it should be functioning properly. As of the end of the 2012 cooling season, I haven't had any further issues with the A/C.
While the technicians are competent, they don't impress me as listeners. Specifically, rather than listening to the symptoms I had witnessed, they seemed to have pre-determined the problem before fully assessing it. I believe that attitude is what led to the need for a third visit.
"I am sorry that you had a delay of getting your home fixed. we try to always put the customers first that have no heating or cooling, warranty or no warranty. please let me know if i can do anything for you or if your system gives you any more problems. thanks Randall Fogel"
"thank you for your business. Randall Fogel"

"Thank you very much for the positive feedback. We strive to provide professional service as well as exceeding our clients expectations . If there's anything we can do for you in the future, don’t hesitate to call. Best regards, Fogel Services."
This certainly turned up the pressure on me to get something done. I brought in other companies for estimates and was told that there was nothing wrong with my system. A month has passed and things are running fine. I now have a maintenance agreement with another company. I will not be using Fogel anymore.
"I am extremely sorry that you were displeased with our service. We did what we were there to do, that was a preventative maint. we noticed coils were leaking and were in bad shape. it will only be a matter of time before the system gives you trouble. We dont just tell our customers what they want to hear but the truth. We would like to earn back your business. A system should never use freeon and if you have had any added than you have a leak. The epa tells us that we are not suppose to knowingly put freeon in a system that is leaking. You have basically just put a band aid on your system. Good luck."
Install crew was on time and did a very good job.
