Tenants in our Savannah home complained of possible mold contamination. We live on the West Coast, so connected with Ken and asked him to investigate their concerns. Ken was a WEALTH of information from the first phone call. He carefully laid out what would happen during his investigation, and spelled out the costs. He did a thorough on-site investigation and answered all of the tenants questions. Post-investigation, he continued to be available to both us and the tenants when we had questions about the independent lab results -- he went above and beyond what we expected. It wasn't until after I'd requested the help of Service Magic to find a toxic materials and mold inspector that I realized that I could probably attribute my problem musty smell and allergies to some flowers that I had in the bedroom. Before I came to this realization, I believed that I had mildew in the attic because the smell seemed to be coming from a vent in my bedroom ceiling. Anyway, Ken listened to my explanation of the problem, asked some questions, and gave me a very reasonable, well-thought-out explanation of the problem that demonstrated his expertise and professionalism. (Based on our conversation, Ken did not think it likely that I had mildew where I originally suspected it - in the attic - and that's before I told him about the flowers.) I had spoken to two other professional toxic material and mold inspectors that day, but neither were able to evaluate the likelihood of my having a mildew problem without coming in and doing the inspection. In other words, Ken sounded the most expert, most professional, and saved me a lot of money. Several days after I removed the flowers, the smell and allergic response that I attributed to mildew in the attic went away.

Highly professional and explained the entire process to me. No frills inspection. Carried out exactly what I needed. His tests revealed elevated levels of mold which we are remediating at this time.

Very nice and helpful in any aspect of the home inspection

The Inspector did a very good job. The Inspection report and repair recommendations were very helpful doing negotiations with the seller. I would recommend them for anyone and will use their service in the future.

He does not move furniture so if you get a home inspection in a home that is still vacated, be sure to move all the furniture yourself. If a cabinet has contact paper, make sure you remove the contact paper yourself to check for water damage.

He is very thorough so please keep in mind that you may see things on your inspection report that you may not LIKE to see but, hey, that's why you're getting this inspection done - right? For peace of mind don't skip the Radon testing!
